Калмыкия (калмыцкое название — Хальмг Тангче) — субъект Российской Федерации. Расположена на юго-востоке европейской части России в междуречье Волги и Дона. Площадь — 76,1 тыс. км², протяжённость с севера на юг — 448 км, с запада на восток — 423 км.
