Caro Waldir, peço que verifique as imagens dos usuários Guzzzz (talk · contributions · Statistics) e Baddin (talk · contributions · Statistics) que são imagens apagadas (por estarem protegidas por direitos autorais) e reupadas sob contas diferentes. Agora o usuário espertamente disponibiliza as imagens no Flickr (quando na verdade nem dele são). Non-Aligned Movement[edit]

Oi Waldir, será que você pode me ajudar na upload dos logos do Non-Aligned Movement ? Já pipoquei uma vez. O problema das licencias na commons ainda é meio complicado pra mim. Eu pensava que não teria problema pra uma organização internacional. Eu também queria, se funcionar, upload os mas recentes logos : [1] e [2] depois de uma conversação em .png ou .svg com Inkscape. Isto eu faria, no caso eu entender este ultimo aspecto (tenho dificuldades pra fazer meus svg legível) e forca sobre Licensing and Copyright tags. Obrigado por qualquer ajuda. Caro Piero, desculpa a demora da resposta. Quanto aos logos que queres carregar, infelizmente eles não são aceitáveis enquanto não puderes apresentar a licença em que eles estão disponibilizados. Infelizmente, se os sites não indicam a licença, legalmente é assumido o copyright tradicional, o que obviamente é uma licença não livre e não pode consequentemente ser aceite no commons. Meu caro Waldir. Tudo bem... não sei o que fazer então (mas como é possível, o logo de uma organização internacional, não ser admissível ? mesmo publicado pela UNO ?). Sera que uma versão vector (feita por mim, com Inkscape, como esta ai em png) seria aceitável ? Portanto, acho que vou renunciar, por enquanto. Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hello fellow admin! You seem to be the only active pt admin at the moment, so I hope you don't mind me asking a favour :)

Could you warn Jota.ve.esse that if he uploads his blog logo again he'll be blocked? There's no template for saying "don't upload it to other names too" or "stop uploading that one image altogether". He's uploaded it to four different names five different times now, and even has a promotional pt.wp page for the blog. It's non-notable and the logo is out of scope for Commons.

Hello,

Perhaps I would be glad to be an admin here on Commons. But I would not use admin powers for my own admin-only editing requests, at least in a first time. For at least some of those edits, I prefer that a second person can have a look a the proposed change and see if it is valuable enough.

langlist in moderation[edit]

Please don't convert manual lists of links in heavily used templates to {{Langlist}} like Template:PD-old/lang, which had more than 40 links (a handful got cut off). While {{langlist}} isn't too bad by itself in terms of size and performance, when you have five or six on a page, they can be. If every template on an image page used one of these, you can end up with quite a lot of overhead, especially if the user tri-licenses a FP/QI/VI/POTY image that needs lots of maintenance. ;) User messages are even worse because those can really accumulate. If I get 20 messages with language links created by this template (which are never subst'd themselves and usually inside a {{Autotranslate}}), that's going really slow down my page loading speed. /lang pages should be as light as possible. I went through all this with {{Lang links}} a long time ago and have been looking for a better solution since. The only difference with that is it makes a lot more database queries and the devs don't like that, but to a user, it's the same (except if you hit the limit). The thing with {{langlist}} though is it's just a shortcut. It doesn't do anything except make adding a language slightly easier. At least {{lang links}} could make it so we never have to add translations to any templates ever again. We could even use recursive substitution for user messages so we would never hit any limit. But we care about things other than editor convenience.

{{langlist}} is great for some things but it's not everything. It only goes up to 40. This can be expanded, but that will make it even heavier. You can't change the namespace. It only supports the language codes in Names.php, when we have others in use. It doesn't allow for variants. Editing {{langlist}} itself really is rough on the servers (it time outs), which would be fine but it's not something like {{!}} or {{Edit}} which practically never have to be edited. Etc. When a high-use template already has ton of manual links, there's no need to convert it. The only people that edit these templates are admins. Experienced maintenance workers. We're used to editing code that's not the prettiest. We (hopefully) know what we're doing and won't have a problem add a language manually. It really isn't that much work, is it? No problem and thanks for understanding. It's not that big of deal, but I just saw it becoming one. I do have an idea I've been thinking of but I'm afraid I don't know how to implement it. We have a CSS class called hidden-redlink and it simply hides all red links. This means we can link to all possible subpages without checking if they exist (no parser functions). The CSS hides everything that's red and when someone makes it blue it shows up. Thus, autoupdating. So far so good, but here's where I run into trouble. How can we properly format that? Again with CSS, using :before or :after pseudo-elements to append a " | " to the blue links but not the red? I just don't know CSS well enough to do this (it's also possible using border-left to make a pipe-looking separator, e.g.). Rocket000 (talk) 11:30, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I was randomly looking around other projects to find interesting new template ideas (meta's the best, btw), and happened to wander over to wmf. I discovered they were using a CSS/HTML approach to language links using list elements! For example, wmf:Template:HomeLang. I'm not sure if this helps us at all, but maybe it'll give you some ideas? CSS solution?[edit]

Did you ever figure out why IE8 has issues with the example you pasted on my talk page? It seems like all basic stuff (e.g. no pseudo-elements). Another thought I had: What if we add a image as the separator? I was thinking about the External link icons which change based on what the link is. (Also, I can't get the border thing to look good and consistent.) We can make use of the .new class which is automatically applied to all red links (it's what makes them red). Oh sorry, I was kinda in a hurry. Basically, those last two sentences (or three, including the one in parentheses) referred to using an image as the separator. The external link images MediaWiki uses gave me the idea, that's why I mentioned those. The .new class is also something that may be of use. It is automatically applied to all red links by MediaWiki. Ajuda Sobre postagem de Imagem[edit]

Olá. Criei uma página no Wikipedia para uma grupo de música e gostaria de postar uma imagem do logotipo (ou outra mostrando todos intergrantes) que está disponível no álbum de fotos do Myspace do grupo. Como eu faço com relação a licença? Eu já carreguei duas imagens (imagem 1 e imagem 2) que postei em outros dois artigos, coloquei o máximo de informaçoes que eu pude sobre o local onde as adquiri, mas também não soube resolver a questão da licença. Replacing old AntWeb image content[edit]

First, thanks so much for all your help with the AntWeb bot. You really helped get us motivated, and were helpful through the whole process. There are a couple hundred pre-bot-approval pictures with old descriptions that I'd like removed. I'm not sure how best to do this. Some of the older uploaded content could be in used (lots of what I uploaded I linked into the English wiki). Best way to handle it is to keep the old stuff online, create a bot operation that will tag them all with a special new template that indicates that it likely is a duplicate and that it should be deleted over the bot uploaded version after all uses of it has been switched. Grato Waldir por resolver as questões linguísticas. Como eu expliquei aqui o meu inglês é bom o suficiente para entender o que se escreve, mas não bom o suficiente para escrever de maneira fluente, apenas o básico. Bem, como já disse aqui, após um período de relativo brilho (entre os anos 20 e os 50), nos quais foi professor de vários escultores famosos (como Figueira, Oliani, Teresa D'Amico e o próprio Raphael Galvez), Nicola Rollo caiu no ostracismo, o Parque D. Pedro II, onde se encontra o Palácio das Indústrias, tornou-se um espaço degradado e nunca foi estabelecida a sua biografia. Ingressando no mestrado em História da Arte e da Cultura da UNICAMP-Universidade Estadual de Campinas, iniciei pesquisa visando recuperar não apenas Nicola Rollo, mas também Luigi Brizzolara. O trabalho, publicado, encontra-se disponível on-line e se chama, não por acaso,Nos Dédalos da Memória, ao Encontro de Dois Enigmas. No processo de pesquisa, entrevistei várias vezes Raphael Galvez (possuidor da composição com galhos, em betume) o qual me permitiu divulgar livremente as imagens conseguidas em seu atelier, bem como suas entrevistas (gravadas em velhas fitas k7, entre 1986 e 1987). Mayra Laudanna, professora do IEB-Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros, da USP-Universidade de São Paulo, me acompanhou a estas entrevistas. O desenho da Virgem Maria, a lápis, lhe havia sido presenteado por Mário Graciotti, que o recebera das mãos do próprio Nicola Rollo, de quem privava da amizade. Mayra igualmente me autorizou a utilizar a imagem para fins de trabalho. Bem, esta é toda a história e, inclusive, se for o caso, então, penso que todos os desenhos de Rollo devam ser eliminados, bem como a Cabeça de Fauno e os modelos de Gigantes, pois todos estes ítens foram fotografados nas mesmas circunstâncias. Esclareço que, caso estas medidas sejam tomadas (ou seja, a eliminação dos desenhos de Nicola Rollo, dos modelos dos gigantes e da cabeça de Fauno) restaurão apenas, acessíveis ao grande público, o túmulo de Luis ísola, os bandeirantes do Museu do Ipiranga, o Cristo do Guarujá e os trabalhos no Palácio das Indústrias. Aproveito o ensejo para questionar porque a alegoria do comércio (fotografia feita por mim, com uma câmara rudimentar em 1986, recortada e escaneada) está também listada para eliminação. O editor que propôs a eliminação não entende português e eu não entendo "portunhol" (deve ser fruto de uma tradução eletrônica), logo, não conseguimos nos fazer entender mútuamente. Agradecido. Caro Waldir, gostaria de saber como está a questão em relação à eliminação dos desenhos de Nicola Rollo, porque não quero manter absolutamente nada que possa ser considerado ilícito. Como havia apontado antes, por analogia, se [File:Rollo desenhos 2.jpg] for eliminada, então [File:Rollo - gigantes.jpg], [File:Rollo - gigantes 1.jpg], [File:Rollo - gigantes 2.jpg], [File:Rollo-Fauno 1.jpg], [File:Rollo-Fauno 2.jpg], [File:Rollo-Fauno.jpg], [File:Rollo desenhos 1.jpg], [File:Rollo desenhos 1.jpg] e [File:Rollo-desenhos.jpg] devem ser eliminadas também, pois as fotografias originais foram realizadas no mesmo local, data e condições. Deletar um arquivo[edit]

Fiz um upload para o Commons, o nome do arquivo é BRASAO_UFCSPA.jpg. Acontece que, ao consultar a assessoria de comunicação sobre a política de identidade visual da UFCSPA, descobri que o brasão não pode ser reproduzido sem autorização da mesma. Portanto, transgredi uma regra da instituição onde trabalho, 1º porque coloquei ela no commons sem autorização, e 2º porque qualquer um agora poderá copiá-la. Gostaria que alguém removesse a imagem que eu coloquei ali.

Movi o ficheiro para File:Enchantment of the Seas.jpg. A versão que tinhas carregado tinha menor resolução (deve-se usar o link "resolução completa" quando se quer transferir um ficheiro), por isso recarreguei a partir do original da Wikipédia em inglês. Atualização das autorizações[edit]

Prezado Waldir, tenho percebido que as fotos que carreguei ultimamente não receberam a atualização, da permissão enviada pelo autor, como ocorreu com essa imagem [[7]], todas as fotos que carrego, solicito ao autor que envie o e-mail para permissions-commons-pt@wikimedia.org, conforme o Modelo de mensagem. No caso em questão, as imagens abaixo foram deletadas, mas o autor, enviou duas vezes o e-mail da permissão...

Está ocorrendo algum problema com essa atualização? eventualmente algum autor, esquece de enviar, mas a maioria faz isso corretamente... pode verificar para mim? OBRIGADO

Encontrei uma autorização para a imagem File:GE U22C FCA 2802.jpg mas não para a File:GE C30-7A ALL CQ 7204.jpg. Por favor verifica antes com os autores para ter certeza que enviaram o pedido para a imagem específica. E já agora, pede a este autor que envie para permissions-commons-pt@wikimedia.org em vez de permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, e que use o texto padrão de licenciamento (a autorização que mencionei acima envolveu várias mensagens trocadas para eliminar a ambiguidade).

Well, I don't see any issues, but just for sure, what uses do you have in mind for the tools? And is there anything you suspect might give people second thoughts? The last adminship nomination I made didn't go so well, so I would like to feel more assured before taking any steps. In your case, I love your enthusiasm and boldness, but I think sometimes you should attempt to communicate more with people before taking actions; for example the AntWeb images you uploaded with the tool (the one I never ended up reviewing, sorry) -- you could have saved some time for you (and everyone, as the images had to be afterwards deleted). Well I don't think there is anything that would cause much of a problem, probably a year ago I did have a run-in with Rama over some picture he deleted against consensus I believe, if I remember correctly. I'd make use of the tools to help with any backlogs and other tasks that need done, in the past I've done a fair bit of anti-vandal editing on en.wikipedia and some here, and I've participated a fair bit in the deletion process. — raeky (talk | edits) 00:21, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But can "tasks that need done" keep you motivated in the long run? I mean, in my case I had a need for the tools because I often bumped into protected images during my categorization sprees, etc. If I only intended the tools to help out where it was needed, I'm afraid I wouldn't be much of a net positive (even though I wouldn't cause any damage). What I mean is, if you don't *need* the tools, maybe your editing habits wouldn't change much to adapt to them (which actually is the wrong way, IMO -- that's why they're called tools, afterall: to serve us, not the other way around). But it might be different for you, I just wanted to mention this. Let me know what you think of this. Categorias repetidas com nomes parecidos[edit]

Olá Waldir! Eu estava editando quando encontrei um problema. Existe uma categoria chamada "Women with blond hair" e outra "Female blond hair". Gostaria de saber se isso está correto? Me parecem querer dizer as mesmas coisas, como categorias repetidas. Pensei até em consultar um burocrata.

São realmente muito parecidas, mas talvez a diferença seja que a primeira categoria se foca em mulheres com cabelo loiro, enquanto a outra se foca no cabelo em si. Eu sugeria mover para Category:Women with blond hair todas as imagens que não se focam claramente no cabelo da pessoa (bom exemplo / mau exemplo). Além disso, um link "see also" deveria ser adicionado a ambas as categorias, e talvez um texto descritivo para explicar a diferença.
Mas pensando bem, essa distinção é bastante subjectiva, e os exemplos que me parecem claros como membros da Category:Female blond hair são muito poucos (eis outro, mas que a meu ver não tem razões fortes para ser identificado como "female"), pelo que talvez o melhor seja fundir as categorias (nota, aliás, como as subcategorias seriam claramente melhor posicionadas como subcategorias de Category:Women with blond hair.
Mas antes de fazer qualquer coisa, eu sugeria-te procurar por discussões sobre o tema, nas páginas de discussão dessas categorias e das semelhantes (brown hair, red hair, etc) e nas páginas afluentes das mesmas. Infelizmente, essas condições não são aceitáveis. Se leres a página Commons:Licenciamento, verás que aí diz "A Wikimedia Commons aceita somente conteúdo livre, isto é, imagens e outros ficheiros de media que podem ser usados por qualquer um, para qualquer propósito". Se for apenas "livre" para a Wikipédia, isso não é realmente livre, pois não? Vê se consegues convencer o autor dos benefícios de exposição/publicidade que uma licença livre pode fornecer. Por exemplo, o creative commons by-sa implica que qualquer um pode usar a imagem mas deve partilhá-la também com uma licença livre, e deve sempre indicar o autor. Eu também gostaria de saber, já que esta pessoa pegou a foto da internet e pôs como se fosse sua, diante da licença. Para começo de história, é só olhar a galeria deste indivíduo, pois tem fotos de photoshoot e de divulgação de séries. Se for assim, eu iria postar esta foto, já que está com uma licença disponível, mas eu sei que a pessoa não é detentora dos direitos, já que olhando sua galeria pude ver que infrigiu os direitos da disney por exemplo, postando fotos de divulgação de filmes como crônicas de nárnia e alice. é o que ocorre na galeria da pessoa que postou essa foto no flickr. é aquele esqueminha de postar a foto no flickr e depois colocar no commons, o que não é permitido! Portanto, fiz minha parte, agora você é que sabe. Se esta foto pode permanecer, a que eu quero postar também poderá, não é? Feito. Era melhor ter a origem da foto, mas as evidências neste caso são suficientes para criar dúvida razoável sobre a autenticidade da autoria. Ajuda[edit]

Olá Waldir; creio termos cooperado na confecção do brasão de Cabo Verde, há muito tempo; está lembrado? Não sabia que era um administrador.

Existe um usuário problemático que está querendo alterar a bandeira presidencial do Brasil baseado em uma foto. Ocorre que o desenho desse arquivo foi feito com o arquivo oficial do brasão brasileiro, distribuído pelo governo, e o verde é o mesmo da bandeira nacional, arquivo vetor esse também distribuído pelo governo. Por outro lado, uma foto é por demais subjetiva (luz, percepção alheia etc.) e a confecção da bandeira fotografada, supondo ter seguido os ditâmes legais, pode diferenciar-se em muito de um arquivo vetorial (uma coisa é um tecido real, a outra um arquivo virtual, com cores baseadas na luz (RGB) e não no pigmento (CMYK)).

Já reverti e pedi para o usuário levar a discussão para a página apropriada, pelo que já demonstrou insistência. Peço que acompanhe o caso e intermedeie se considerar necessário.

Hello! You made rivers and coastlines to borders. Who cares if a file has got a different internal structure when it shows misleading information after that change? This is not an improvement, this map simply became wrong. Next time you think of changing maps you better ask the uploader first, then those mistakes (and the colour of the waterbodies and boundaries were still wrong) won't happen. Hi, Incnis Mrsi. Thanks for the heads up. I am indeed aware of that functionality, but I purposely avoid it as it is inconvenient, due to this: "Note that while HotCat normally automatically submits single category changes, it will never do so when operating in multi-change mode. It will always open a screen showing the changes made, which you should review before submitting the edit manually."
I'd rather create the minor inconvenience of multiple entries in an article's history (which, by the way, can de individually undone in a clean manner) than reducing my categorization work by forcing myself into a workflow that displeases me. I actually expected to find a "categories with the most entries" special page, but there doesn't seem to be one. Maybe you can find a tool in the toolserver that does that, or maybe there are database reports here in Commons, similar to the ones they have in English Wikipedia, but I am not aware of neither. Ajuda sobre bloqueio[edit]

Olá Waldir, eu sou o usuário Lucas Secret (meu antigo nome de usuário era Lucas Brígido, mas mudei meu nome na pt:Wiki por motivo de privacidade). Bom, estou precisando de uma ajuda com o meu bloqueio aqui no Commons, e como é difícil encontrar alguém que intenda português e ainda seja administrador vim aqui te pedir uma ajuda.

Olha, entrei na Wikipédia em 2009 e não sabia como funcionava as regras de carregamento de imagens, igual a lista dessa página. Por isso eu carregava muitas capas de discos e fotos com direitos autorais, com essa atitude acabei sendo bloqueado para sempre. Isso foi em 2009, em 2010 e 2011 pedi o meu desbloqueio, só que sempre ganhei uma resposta negativa.

Hoje em dia, eu tenho conhecimento sobre as regras de imagens e eliminação, sou até eliminador e reversor na Wikipédia portuguesa. Eu não vou fazer vandalismo, é sério, eu só quero colaborar com a Wikipédia. Depois da mudança de nome, eu carreguei imagens e fiz algumas edições, veja. Essa é uma prova de que eu mudei meu comportamento e estou ciente das regras. Será que você pode me desbloquear? Caso não possa, será que você pelo menos pode mandar uma mensagem para o Martin H.? Pois, mandei uma mensagem pra ele e nem tive resposta, ele me ignorou completamente. Será que eu nunca mais vou ser desbloqueado? Afinal já se passaram 3 anos. Eu consigo fazer fazer login com a conta Lucas Secret, mas não consigo fazer nenhuma edição com ela, esse é o problema. Ela foi bloqueada sim veja. Eu mudei meu nome (Lucas Brígido para Lucas Secret) só na Wiki- pt, en, es. Onde eu faço algumas edições. Acho que o Martin H. viu o meu pedido de mudança de nome e bloqueou o meu nome atual, ele me bloqueou depois desses edições. Tens razão, consultei mal o registo de bloqueio. É assim, não convém um administrador desbloquear-te unilateralmente. Já reparei que pediste para ser desbloqueado várias vezes, tendo sido negado. Vou colocar uma proposta na Administrators' noticeboard para ver se é possível reunir consenso para te desbloquear. Convinha também pedires a alguém da ptwiki que esteja familiarizado com o teu trabalho que comente lá também. Se for um administrador, tanto melhor. Trocar Brasão de Prefeitura Alvorada-RS[edit]

Gostaria de saber como posso trocar a imagem do brasão da cidade de Alvorada que está no Wikimedia e foi redesenhada de forma errada.

Eu vetorizei corretamente a imagem original do brasão e gostaria de enviá-la para substituir a imagem errada.

Olá Adão.
Normalmente uma versão corrigida de uma imagem pode ser carregada "por cima" da anterior, como foi o caso da segunda versão carregada pelo GilsonRabelo, referida como "melhoramento da imagem". Se vetorizaste a imagem, porém, o tipo de arquivo será diferente (svg em vez de jpg), por isso não será possível substituir diretamente a imagem original. Neste caso, basta carregar a imagem para um ficheiro com nome diferente, por exemplo Image:Brasão de alvorada.svg, e colocar na outra imagem a predefinição {{Vector version available}}. A licença deverá ser a mesma que a imagem existente, neste caso {{PD-BrazilGov}}. Abraço, Waldir talk 15:21, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Olá, Waldir.
Eu sou funcionário da Prefeitura de Alvorada, e percebemos na atual gestão, que o brasão da cidade foi redesenhado de forma incorreta. Por isso, eu o redesenhei com base na imagem original. A intenção é colocar à disposição de todos a imagem com melhor qualidade em formatos PNG, JPG, e Vetor.
Gostaria de saber como faço para substituir a imagem que está incorreta por estas imagens que reproduzi?

Bem, a imagem em formato vetorial terá de ser carregada numa nova página, como expliquei acima. A imagem em JPG que já existe aqui pode ser substituída por uma versão corrigida no mesmo formato (JPG), usando o link "Enviar uma nova versão deste arquivo" que se encontra logo abaixo da tabela que contém as diferentes versões da imagem. Não sei se esse link está visível para todas as contas ou se são precisos privilégios especiais; se não vires esse link, avisa-me; se o conseguires ver, basta então usar esse link para carregar uma nova versão (em JPG) por cima da atual.
Não é necessário carregar uma versão em PNG, porque o SVG (vetorial) pode ser automaticamente convertido em PNG pelo próprio software mediawiki.
Por último: para ligar a página da imagem em JPG com a página da imagem em SVG, podes editar a página da primeira e colocar a seguinte predefinição: {{Vector version available}}. Se tiveres dificuldades em fazer isso, avisa.

Bom dia! Obrigado pela ajuda. Coloquei a imagem JPG, como você pode ver lá na página do brasão.
Gostaria de saber como faço para solicitar a exclusão da imagem que estava errada? E também, como deixar apenas a imagem original e a última que eu enviei.
Outra questão é que eu esqueci de especificar no texto que a imagem é cores CMYK para impressão.
Pretendo colocar em uma nova página, uma imagem em PNG, com fundo transparente em cores RGB, eliminando assim a necessidade de enviar imagem em vetor. Qual o procedimento para criar esta página e ligá-la com a página do brasão em JPG?

Não é necessário excluir a edição anterior; essa não é indexada por motores de busca, e a utilização da imagem em wikis é automaticamente atualizada para a versão mais recente. O histórico de alterações é mantido por razões informativas. No entanto, reparei que tentaste fazê-lo, o que resultou numa duplicação das duas últimas versões. É compreensivel, porque a interface não é muito intuitiva. O ideal, neste ponto, seria manter apenas as 3 mais antigas (a original, a tentativa de melhoria, e a tua nova versão), eliminando as duas versões duplicadas que criaste sem querer. Infelizmente, tal não é possível por limitação do próprio software, por isso terá que ficar como está.
Uma pergunta: porque queres eliminar a necessidade de enviar a imagem em formato vetorial? Esse formato é sempre superior ao PNG.

Oi. A minha preocupação com o vetor é que ele seja alterado de alguma forma. Além disso, as Secretarias da Prefeitura não utilizarão o brasão em vetor. O setor de comunicação liberará o vetor apenas sob solicitação das Secretarias.

Quanto à imagem PNG, pretendo colocá-la em alta resolução, para que possa ser baixada e utilizada virtualmente por Secretarias e outros Departamentos. Por isso, gostaria de saber como proceder, para evitar erros ao criar a página e fazer o link.

Não há nada nos outros formatos que os impeça de serem alterados, por isso o vetorial não será mais vulnerável que os outros a potenciais alterações. De qualquer forma, é sempre possível fazer a reversão de possíveis alterações.
Em relação ao PNG, como já disse acima, o próprio software mediawiki pode gerar PNGs a partir do SVG, em qualquer resolução que se deseje. Por exemplo, em File:Coat of arms of Cape Verde.svg pode-se simplesmente clicar com o botão direito na imagem e gravar a imagem, pois esse preview já é um PNG (O SVG só se pode descarregar clicando normalmente na imagem para a abrir separadamente, isto é, sem ser numa página wiki). Também existem links abaixo da imagem para versões em outras resoluções: 200px, 500px, 1000px, 2000px. Além disso, pode-se até alterar o valor em pixels que se encontra nesses links para uma resolução qualquer e o mediawiki gera-a automaticamente, por exemplo com 1234px de largura: [8]. É uma solução muito mais flexível do que ter apenas uma resolução única em PNG, que não se pode aumentar, e para reduzir é preciso usar um software de edição de imagem.

Estava razoavelmente bem. Fiz alguns ajustes. Analisa o código das mesmas para ver o que é considerado conteúdo apropriado para páginas de descrição de imagens, caso venhas a precisar no futuro.
Quanto à outra imagem, era realmente um duplicado. Editei as wikipédias que estavam a usar essa imagem para usarem a nova imagem que carregaste, e eliminei o ficheiro. Bom trabalho!

Percebi também, que não há informação sobre o autor do brasão. O nome de quem o criou é Vanei Simon, e criou nos anos 1970. Estou recolhendo informações para colocar na página de Alvorada/RS no Wikipedia. É possível colocar informações do autor na página do brasão JPG no Wikimedia?

Aliás, se reparares, na caixa de informações de ambas as imagens (svg e jpg) encontra-se um aviso a informar que está em falta informação sobre o autor, e o campo da data também está vazio. Posso preencher eu a informação, mas sugiro que o faças tu próprio para ganhar a experiência :) Edita ambas as páginas e preenche os campos author= e date= da predefinição {{Information}} para retificar a situação. Olá Davidson. É louvável o teu interesse em contribuir para a melhoria da Wikipédia, mas infelizmente a maior parte das imagens que se encontram na internet, especialmente os posters de filmes e outras obras criativas, encontram-se sob um conjunto de restrições bastante limitativas que impedem a sua utilização a não ser que o autor da imagem seja contactado e concorde alterar os termos do seu licenciamento. Ou seja, a não ser que consiga contactar o autor da imagem, o mais provável é ser impossível o carregamento da mesma aqui no Commons. Caso ainda não o tenhas feito, sugiro que leias a página Commons:Licenciamento, que contém informações em maior detalhe sobre que licenças de imagens são permissíveis no Commons.

Apoio numa permissão de imagem[edit]

Olá Waldir, Saudações! Espero encontrar-te bem. Sou inexperiente aqui e carreguei uma imagem de minha autoria. Enviei por email a autorização para o OTRS, no entanto consta um aviso recente de que consta fonte, consta autor, uma autorização foi enviada por email mais não foi logada no commons OTRS, e pedem que envie uma prova de autorização!?

Poderia me dar um apoio nesse assunto? A foto em questão é esta: File:Of The Archaengel Band.JPG

De facto, por motivos que desconheço, a mensagem estava no sistema OTRS mas não aparecia na caixa de entrada. Mas já ficou tudo resolvido. Waldir, preciso da sua ajuda... um editor deletou essa foto, http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:E.F.Paranagua_a_Curitiba_-_1879.jpg ela é de 1879, com mais de 130 anos, tirada por Marc Ferrez falecido em 1923, 80 anos, não entendi a o motivo da deletação... O motivo da eliminação, conforme pode ser visto em , foi dado como "No source since 29 July 2013: you may re-upload, but please cite a verifiable source/reference", ou seja, foi solicitada a inclusão da origem da imagem, mas apenas foi colocada a indicação "Biblioteca Nacional", que é muito vaga e não permite identificação exata da origem da obra original. Após uma semana e sem terem sido indicadas informações suficientes, o ficheiro foi eliminado de acordo com as regras.
Nota que a mensagem que foi deixada na tua página de discussão diz que "se a obra foi criada por outra pessoa, ou é baseada numa obra de outra pessoa, a fonte deve ser o endereço da página da internet onde a encontrou, ou o nome e o ISBN do livro de onde a digitalizou, ou outra fonte semelhante." Sim, compreendo, mas essa informação tem que estar explícita, porque nem todos saberão esses factos todos (eu por exemplo nunca tinha ouvido falar do fotógrafo). Se o commons comecasse a aceitar imagns porque "é obvio" que a imagem é de domínio público, iria haver precedentes para casos bem mais complicados. Category:Views from Sky100 at Wikimania 2013 welcome party is another perversion of the commons category system, which does nothing but bury images so deep that they are never to be found. Category:Views from Sky100 is not in danger of being over populated. Adding a sub-cat does not make any sense. The proposed sub-cat is highly questionable anyhow. The fact that those shots were taken at the welcome party is completely irrelevant. You are right. I would have come to a better solution but had to leave right after I edited that cat. I agree that the images don't need to be associated with the Wikimania party in the category system so I'll keep them in Category:Views from Sky100 (in any case, the fact that whey were taken at wikimania 2013 is patent in their filenames and descriptions). Just a tiny update, which I hope you'll agree with: I initially deleted the intersection category, but eventually restored it after noticing that there were indeed some pictures of the view that actually made it clear that they were taken in the welcome party. User:File Upload Bot (AntWeb)[edit]

Hello Waldir! I see you were involved in uploading 30,000+ AntWeb photos back in 2009. Thank you for that, it has been the single most important ant-related contribution to the project. The number of photos on AntWeb has grown to 119,067 since then, but 99% of these have not been uploaded to Commons. Are you able to help to set up the bot again? That would save the project a lot of time and improve all different language-editions of Wikipedia. Não, as imagens são diferentes. Por exemplo, a que foi carregada no commons tem dimensões 575x541, enquanto que a outra tem o tamanho 124x184; além disso, esta última tem texto embutido em baixo, o que a primeira não tem. --Waldir talk 22:58, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I wondered a bit whether to remove it or not, but I decided to do it because (1) it is not at all obvious that the roundabout is a supperellipse from the photo, and (2) the description didn't make this claim. And in any case, it was not very useful IMO to have the image in the superellipse category, as it doesn't serve to illustrate a supperellipse, but is merely a photo which contains (among other things) an instance of it, and a not very obvious one at that (in fact, it's not even the main focus of the photo - the structure in the roundabout seems to be the main concept being illustrated). I mean, if you compare it to other photos in the category, you'll see that those feature clearly a superellipse-based shape as the central subject; in other words, both the resemblance and the fact that they're the focus of the image are obvious and unmistakable. This is not the case in this image.
I would suggest instead adding to the image description the statement that the roundabout in the picture is a supperellipse, and link that word to the super ellipse page. And by the way, it would be extra nice if you could add some words about the structure (what is it made of, what does it represent, who designed it, when was it built, etc.) to the description as well :)

P e z i, FYI I just found out that there's a specific category for that fountain, so I added the photo to it and added the category to the Super ellipse category, since some images there make the super ellipse shape clearer. Category:Guarda, Portugal[edit]

Hi there, I hope you can help. I tried to disambiguate a category called "Guarda" as there are many places and things called it, but in the end got tangled with what belongs in Category:Guarda (district) and what goes into Category:Guarda, Portugal. There is a lot of non-English on the category and image names and my Portuguese is non-existent! Do you think Guarda (district) is better perhaps be renamed Guarda (district), Portugal (or Guarda, Portugal (district)?) Can you have a look if you have time. Hi Deadstar, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately this problem is quite hard to tackle, since pretty much every district in Portugal is named after a city, which also names the municipality it belongs to. It's a perfect storm of ambiguity. I don't think adding "Portugal" to the district category would help. The main source of confusion could be that "Guarda, Portugal" can refer to either the city or the district, but adding a "(city)" suffix to it doesn't sound right. I'm not sure how to help here, other than saying that, from what I could gather, the current split is mostly correct. Only a local from the region could say for sure whether there aren't any miscategorizations. --Waldir talk 01:26, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for having a look. At least categorization looks right, which is something I guess. The naming convention for the district/city is correct within the Portugal scheme, but can confuse people looking for Guarda, Switzerland - which is why I was looking to add "Portugal" to the district cat. I'll open up a discussion page to have it changed & see what others think (not that I find in general people read these things, but at least it was flagged :)). I assume you are talking about these edits. I did those because it would be overkill to add all images of Wikipedia logos to the dozens of categories corresponding to the characters included in them. Oi! Segundo uma discussão antiga onde fui “crucificado” por (ab)usar desta categorização, parece que dutch angle é um tipo específico de tomada oblíqua, limitado a filmagens com um determinado objetivo. Tudo o resto deve ficar na categoria superior — a qual, claro, poderá vir a ser dissiminada. Ironicamente, por questões de copyright, nem temos reais exemplos de dutch angle, só uma foto de uma câmara especial para o fazer. Olá Waldir, (faz tempo!!!). Tudo a correr bem contigo é o meu desejo. Olha, estou um bocado (muito, na verdade) enferrujado. Carreguei uma fotos usando o Picasa e descobri entretanto que o dito cujo 'encolhia' bastante as fotos. Entretanto, arranjei o GIMP que é um bocado mais amigável e carreguei uma nova versão do mesmo ficheiro' com o mesmo nome' Exemplo: File:Igreja de Santa Maria do Castelo de Abrantes.jpg. Agora queria marcar a foto para apagar a versão má e estou com dificuldades. Não sei se por ter dado o mesmo nome ao novo ficheiro, se por outra qualquer razão. Olha, se entendi bem o que se passou, ambas as imagens ficaram associadas à mesma página, portanto serão as duas versões que aparecem no histórico do ficheiro. Correto?
Sendo assim, a versão antiga pode tecnicamente ser eliminada, mas por norma isso só é feito quando se trata de vandalismo ou imagens completamente diferentes carregadas por cima de uma existente, ou situações do género. Carregamentos com maior resolução de imagens existentes, como o que fizeste, são ações comuns e nesses casos normalmente não se apaga a versão antiga do histórico — ou seja, não é preciso fazeres nada :)
Caso eu tenha percebido mal a situação, corrige-me por favor.

That image, like pretty much all of my contributions to Wikimedia sites and other volunteer projects, was made to "scratch an itch" I had myself, but shared in the hopes that the work I did to solve my problem could be put to use (for almost no extra effort) to help others with the same issue.
While I can already see that that happens from the usage of the image in the projects, and from the view count stats that WMF makes available, of course it is a warming reassurance when people go out of the way to thank me as you did. I'm happy and proud to hear that my work was useful to you!
