In the description page of the file linked above, it says that an svg file for the same model can be generated using MATLAB. I don't own this software, but was wondering if you might be able to upload an svg version as well, as a still version? what program do you use to modify .gif files?[edit]
im still thankful for the changes youve made on the south korea demographic transtion .gif. recently my usual .gif website maker that i use regularly died so can you let me know what website/program do you use to make animated .gif?

- Hi @Sdgedfegw: for this file I used https://softradar.com/jasc-animation-shop/ , a small little tool (with some limitations). https://ezgif.com/maker is very good. Easy to use nothing to install. Division by 2 of the weight of UnionvillePlaningMill waterwheel looped.gif[edit]
Hello Jahobr ! It is possible to halve the size of the file UnionvillePlaningMill waterwheel looped.gif using GifCam (this software using the transparency capabilities of the gif format). We then arrive at 7MB! I did it without difficulty, but I cannot show you the result by updating your file. As you know, it is important, for climatic reasons to reduce the weight of the files... I upload the same animation as UnionvillePlaningMill waterwheel looped.gif after dividing the weight by 2 thanks to the transparency function (in the free software GifCam): You will be able to observe that the quality of the image is unchanged. rotate[edit]
You requested rotation of about 2000 tiff files by bot. The bot cannot rotate tiff files. This filled up the bots queue and no other files were rotated therefore. I changed the requests to manual request, but I do not think that someone will soon go through all the requests. --C.Suthorn (talk) 12:49, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Eulerpfade in Matlab auf macos[edit]

wirklich tolle arbeit bzgl der grafischen Aufarbeitung der Suche nach Eulerpfadden des Hauses vom Nikolaus. Das Script wirft unter macox mit Matlab 2021b Fehler. Gibst du Support?

- @Triacx: Vermutlich ist es die Video-Erstellung; da hat sich in den Versionen am meisten geändert. Für SVGs verwende ich eine Toolbox aus dem Internet; vermutlich auch problematisch. Mach mal Zeile 90 "
for form = {'gif','mp4','svg'}" zu „for form = {'gif'}“. Damit erhörst du die Chancen deutlich. Ich hab erst Dienstag wieder Zugriff auf 2021a (Mac hab ich gar nicht). Hallo, du hast viele grossartige Bilder hochgeladen.
Meine Sache sind mehr die Bereinigungen der Vorlagen: ich habe die Code-Anzeige aus über 20 "Created with..."-Vorlagen entfernt und es stattdessen an einer zentralen Stelle hinterlegt. Als Konsequenz kann diese Anzeige nicht mehr direkt von zB "Created with MATLAB" aufgerufen werden.
Eine weitere Änderung ist der Parameter "external" mit dem gezeigt werden kann wo der Code zu finden ist.
Die notwendigen Anpassungen habe ich in all deinen Dateien vorgenommen, ich hoffe dass mir kein Fehler unterlaufen ist. Falls du doch etwas findest werde ich es natürlich verbessern. Gruss -- sarang♥사랑 14:23, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

I'll do that but was wondering if there is another way that I can maybe store those images on another website like Google Drive and link them to my Sandbox that way? Hi, Actually most files from this category should be deleted. So it is best to leave them there, as deleting them is then easier. Also we don't accept selfies and personal images from people who do not contribute otherwise. You can tag them with {{SD|F10}}, {{SDF10}} or {{Selfie}}, and they will be deleted. Voronoi[edit]
Hey. I'm curious about how exactly you generated your still and animated voronoi images. I would like to generate some myself, except the expanding shape is a square. The Manhattan distance images are close to my intent, but they have diagonal angles. Unknow0059 (talk) 03:08, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Unknow0059: something like File:Voronoi_growth_chebychev.gif?
- I used Matlab to generate them. The source code is provided in File:Voronoi growth euclidean.gif. This may not help you much if you are not familiar with this program.
- If you want to want to do it with programming:
- define the seeds.
- Create two matrix-arrays depending on how many pixels you want
- Calculate for each entry/pixel:
- the seed index of the closest seed and store it in array_1
- the distance to the closest seed and store that in array_2
- Crate an RGB matrix pixel array
- for-loop from 0 to the max-distance anywere in array_2 with a step size that results the needed Frames
- find all entries in array_2 smaller as the loop variable
- color the RGB-matrix mit a color accoding to the seed index in array_1
- store the frame

Epicyclic gearing, questions[edit]
Hi. love your work. I noticed on Epicyclic gearing that you have one of you animations. But I see in your User:Jahobr/Gearboxes gallery, you actually made one for each mode. For completeness, why not have them all in the article? There are discussions about it on the talk page. When I saw that, I added my own 3d version there in case someone wanted to use them in the article. But, I think your 4 animations on the main page would be great.
I also came across your gearing schematic File:Epicyclic Gearing Schema.svg and was wondering where this came from? I've been working on my own schematics for my blog. DaveRcWiki (talk) 10:06, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @DaveRcWiki: , thank you. Your 3d-versions are rally nice! I am not too much involved with the articles. If at all, I edit in the German wiki. I make the images, other people use them... or not. There are actually all four version on the page, but as CSS animation in chapter Epicyclic_gearing#Gear_ratio_of_reversed_epicyclic_gearing. You have to click them see the animation.
- I'm not sure what you mean with your schema question. I made it by hand in “inkscape” matching the animations in color and proportions. The style is sometimes used in literature, we have a small number of samples here in Category:Schematic_diagrams_of_gears_and_gearboxes. - Thanks for the Schema link too. I was more wondering what-literature defined the way of communicating gears like this. It may make it easier for to understand the diagrams if I have a reference for interpreting the meanings of the various symbols.
