Hello Spurzem,

Greetings from the Wiki Loves Folklore International Team! Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.

How can I Contribute?

The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February 2024 through 31 March 2024. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. It’s simple: grab a camera, record an image, video or audio under the folklore theme and start uploading or Click on Upload Now Icon which is available on right side of Wiki Loves Folklore 2024. To learn more about the rules, check out our Project page on Wikimedia Commons.

Hallo Spurzem, du hast ja schon eine einladung für den internationalen wettbewerb bekommen. Ich wollte dich dich aber auch noch mal auf den deutschen Wettbewerb hinweisen, so wie ich einige mir bekannte Commonsfotografen darauf gern hinweise.
Vielleicht hast du noch einige tolle Aufnahmen für Wiki Loves Folklore Deutschland. Bis Ende März können diese hochgeladen werden. Und lass dich nicht vom Begriff "Folklore" abschrecken. Der Begriff ist weiter gedacht, als man denkt: Feste, Essen, Bräuche und Spiele gehören auch dazu. Nach meinem Verständnis könnten auch auch Bilder von Oldtimer-Ralleys daran teilnehmen, da es regelmäßige Veranstaltungen sind. Viele Grüße Z thomas 06:31, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lieber Thomas, ich danke Dir herzlich für die nette Einladung, am Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Folklore teilzunehmen, und ich wüsste auch einiges. Aber alle oder fast alle infrage kommenden Fotos sind schon seit Längerem hochgeladen und neue kann ich kaum noch aufnehmen. Ich bin inzwischen 82 und gesundheitlich stark beeinträchtigt. Hallo Grandmaster Huon, ich nehme an, dass das Ergebnis Deines Löschantrags eine Genugtuung für Dich ist. Es wäre interessant zu erfahren, wie viele andere User die Löschung ebenfalls für nötig hielten und ob es nicht möglich gewesen wäre, die Bildfreigabe von Playmobil einzuholen. Reingeschoben: Lieber Spurzem, das denke ich mir leider in letzter Zeit auch immer häufiger. Einige scheinen nicht zu begreifen, dass es ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Freiwilligen ist, die allesamt unentgeltlich stets an der Verbesserung des Angebots interessiert sind (so hoffe ich).
