I included it according to Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine on Copyright and Related rights, which states that all symbols of territorial communities are public domain. Hi. I noticed you deleted Image:Lanz HM.jpg recently. I understand and do not dispute the reasoning. My query is that a new version of the file was uploaded 'recently', and I wondered whether the new version had accidentally over-written the earlier licence details.

My interest is that this image is very helpful in the Wikipedia article Hot bulb engine, and I was wondering if the earlier version had the correct licence, in which case I'd be really grateful if you could restore the earlier version, please.

My God! Every single image has a free license and a collage of free images is free, too! Ok, that was the short private lessons on copyright - now can you please tell me why Commons-Admins show their incompetence at questions of copyright as often as they can? Are you not able to follow the given links to the source-files? (Image:420er_007.jpg, Image:Kielzugvogel_u._Pirat.jpg, Image:Tempest.jpg, Image:Star_001.jpg, Image:J-24_yacht_racing,_Sydney_Harbour.jpg)
I was active on research at de-new files for some time and with a little source/license-investigation we saved images without any information.
I think I should heed some users advice to load no images to Commons any more - can you please reconstitute the images, I load them immediately to de. Наткнулась тут на человека, который, похоже, залил на коммонс все свои отпускные фотки. You can, as many other admins before you delete other images that I've marked as a duplicate of an SVG. The rules are about the PNG that are superseded by an SVG, not render of an SVG (i.e. exact duplicate, pixel by pixel). Hi Ahonc, you were as kind as to add me to the "trusted user" list for MediaMoveBot, but were very probably unaware of the consequences ;]]

I'm an elderly guy who will for sure not try any sabotage, but might do such by error 8(

At the moment, I do not know how to "approve" an image to be renamend. Those instructions were, imo, written for people a few decades younger than me. Therefore, I please ask you to show on the example of Image:U2Erweiterung 20080506 335 Russkaja - Antonia-Alexa Georgiew.jpg what has to be done to "approve" a requested rename (which I requested myself before applying for "trusted user" status).

You might as well consider to overwrite Image:How-To.gif with a screenshot which might explain better than words could do.

You may only put template {{Rename}} or {{Rename media}}, and bot which renames images checks who make the last edit in image. If it is user from list on CheckPage or admin, bot renames image, else it writes «rename failed».--Ahonc (talk) 16:59, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Gelöschtes Bild

Hallo Ahonc, du hast vor ein paar Tagen ein Bild von mir gelöscht, mit angeblich nicht geklärter Urheberstatus. Auf meiner Disk ganz unten. Ich bin mir allerdings sicher, dass ich das Jahr der Erstellung des Bildes angegeben habe. Und das Jahr lässt nicht die geringste Zweifel aufkommen, dass der Ersteller des Bildes seit mindestens 70 Jahre tot ist. Wie jetzt vorgehen? It has the licence NoRightsReserved (Although I would mark it as PA-art instead), it states the author (Grigory Gagarin a 19th century painter which I added but you reverted that). The author and source are also clear "This photo is from my collection and belong to me personally." wrote en:User:Ldingley. So its his/her work but it was released without rights. So why did you add 'no license' and did not start a normal deletion request instead? Hi, I noticed you had rejected my request for MediaMove permission because I have less than 500 edits. I had read the instructions page, and it says that users only need 200 edits to apply; this is why I had added my name to the request list. The change to the instruction page was made here, apparently in response to the discussion at Commons talk:MediaMoveBot/CheckPage#500 edits?.
