Wenns weiter nichts ist, das bekommen wir raus, ich habe auch erst die Hälfte meiner Bilder oben. In dem Getümmel haben wir manchmal auch in falscher Reihenfolge fotografiert, einer von uns hat dazu Notizen gemacht, die wir noch nicht ausgewertet haben. So macht es Laune! Like I said on your discussion page I disagree with "animation=gif / video=ogg", but I try to get us forward. There is not much point in working against each other. Help?

I have three insect videos -- I have seen too many of a single type of video lately.... Back to my problem.

I have three insect videos and I was wondering if you could put them in MOTD -- scatter them with enough days of distance between (too many insects are too many insects, even if they are good or great videos).

I don't trust myself to put them there right now -- I have seen too many recently.

These are the videos and they can appear in any order:

Hi Jahobr, I the general case I agree that TeX markup is to be preferred over static images, the point of this image is to give an example of an output which cannot be rendered here - it is contrasting the standard output with the output of a package not available when using LaTeX on wikibooks. As the replacement you suggest makes no sense in the context for whihc the image was uploaded I'll remove the template from the image page, and note it on the talk page. Best wishes. I just deleted most of the images you had specified for deletion around the picture of Aaron Palushaj. I kept the smaller version because the other versions were tests that I uploaded to show the organisation. I had to change all the resolutions on all the pictures because of this. Hi Jahobr, ich habe gerade gesehen, daß Du den oben genannten Nutzer ebenfalls schon darauf hingewiesen hast, daß er nicht einfach existierende Grafiken wie "File:Seven segment display-animated.gif" verändern soll. Da ich, anders als Du, nur sehr selten bei Commons bin, kannst Du vielleicht mit ein Auge darauf werfen, daß dieser Nutzer nicht zu viel Schaden anrichtet? Der Versuch, den Editor in der englischen WP halbwegs im Zaum zu halten, ist schon aufwendig genug. Niemand macht am Anfang alles richtig, deshalb sollte man natürlich Milde walten lassen, aber Piotr scheint leider selten "merkbefreit" und obendrein noch ziemlich stur zu sein - wobei ich ihm keine böse Absicht unterstellen möchte, sondern nur Unwissenheit/Unvermögen. Wasserkraftwerk Dreisam (Freiburg) jm

Danke für deine Ergänzungen der Kategorien, Freiburger Bächle macht aber hier bei der Dreisam keinen Sinn. Die Bächle werden zwar aus der Dreisam gespeist, allerdings wird dazu erst ca. 2 km flusabwärts das Wasser aus dem Fluß ausgeleitet. --Jörgens.Mi ^Talk 19:39, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Verloren in den Tiefen der Film-Erstellung

Hi, Jahobr, magst Du mir helfen, nachdem ich schon viele Tage lang ohne Erfolg versuche, ein Filmchen über eine schwingende Saite in den Artikel "Saitenschwingung" einzubauen?
Ich habe deinen Film über eine schwingende Spiralfeder in [[1]] gefunden. So etwas will ich auch mit einer schwingenden Saite machen. Den Film habe ich mit dem Grapher, Version 2.5 (46), und mit QuickTime 10.4 (891) (Mac OS 10.12.1, Sierra) in ein .mov konvertiert, dann mit "Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate" in ein .ogv gewandelt und in die Commons hinaufgeladen. Wie Du hier [[2]] siehst, hat QuickTime einen Film erstellt, der von einer riesigen schwarzen Fläche begleitet ist, die ich nicht weg bekomme. Jetzt meine Frage: mit welchem Programm hast Du den Film über die Schwingung der Spiralfeder gemacht, gibt's das auch für den Apple? Anjolo (talk) 19:26, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Ciao m(r)s Jahobr, Please give me one good reason to rollback a wee edit of mine regarding the fistBump. Only little thing I performed has been addig a category. Is not allowed and if so where it's written? Remember Assume Good Faith! You seem to be one of those people (let's call the deletionists who seem not to understand this part of our constitution. Ich hab mal was gebastelt. Farben und Design lassen sich ändern. Neben den "inneren Ellipsen" (Papierstreifen-Stil) kann man natürlich auch "äußere Ellipsen" erstellen (Trammel-of-Archimedes-Stil). Keine Ahnung ob das für dich relevant ist. --Jahobr (talk) 22:43, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Jego źródło to Muzeum Archeologiczno-Historyczne w Stargardzie, autor jest nieznany. W czym jest problem, jeżeli prawa wygasły 70 lat po śmierci autora?

There is no proof that the author is dead since 70 years. Please provide some proof of that. Otherwise I recommend the "150-year-rule": I assume the author was 15 years old when the image was made. He died at age 95. (80Years + 70Years = 150Years). The image was taken in 1944, so we can be sure it is PD in 2094. --Jahobr

Hi Jahobr, I admire the simplicity and clarity of your gearbox animations. As you saw, I went ahead and made a crude animation of a sequential gearbox based on your 4-speed animation. Thank you for your kind words regarding my efforts.
I do regret not taking the time to show some kind of ratchet mechanism to rotate the cam. If I ever decide to fix it, I will gladly accept your offer of original source data.

Archimedean spiral

Hi Jahobr,

I love the spirals withe the cogs. Specifically with the Archimedean Spiral animation with Gears positive and negative.gif do you know if it is possible to see these spirals in 3 dimension both moving 'up' or in the same 3rd dimensional direction?

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. @Themightyquill: As an example File:(1186x2368) Law of Large Numbers.gif below the image you find the line:

Original file ‎(2,368 × 1,186 pixels, file size: 6.62 MB, MIME type: image/gif, looped, 173 frames, 30 s);
