Hi Raymond, da sind wieder zwei Bilder, die verschoben werden müssten, wobei eins davon schon als QI nominiert ist. Bei File:Afghanite. Sur-e-Sang, Badakshan, Afghanistan-9071.jpg und File:Afghanite. Sur-e-Sang, Badakshan, Afghanistan-9072.jpg ist der Fundort falsch, denn er muss Sar-e-Sang heißen. Tja, da sieht man leider, dass man den Schildchen im Museum auch nicht immer trauen kann (bestes Beispiel). Gelegentlich habe ich bei anderen Bildern den Fundort in der Beschreibung auch ohne Hinweis korrigiert bzw. präzisiert. Schade, dass ich die Schildchen nicht zu sehen kriege, aber ich werde mal versuchen, auf der WikiMuc-Aktionsseite eine Liste zusammenzustellen. Allerdings komme ich in der Aktions-Kategorie kaum bei der Überarbeitung der Beschreibungen hinterher. Wiki Loves Earth 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo Raymond,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 31. Mai 2023 findet zum elften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Der Wettbewerb ist zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Wettbewerbskategorien Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. In der Wettbewerbskategorie Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen – zum Beispiel in Sachsen die Liste der Naturdenkmale in Wurzen.

Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2023 – Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung.

Damit der Upload für dich einfacher ist, haben wir in diesem Jahr die einzelnen Hochladeseiten für die Bundesländer abgeschafft, alle Fotos werden über dasselbe Formular hochgeladen. Außerdem haben wir das Layout unserer WLE-Seiten geändert.

Danke sehr, das dachte ich mir auch schon. Ich war mir nur nicht ganz sicher, da ein Panoramio Bot den Upload überprüft haben soll. Mir ist nicht bekannt, ob es spezielle Lizenzvertragsmodelle zwischen Panoramio und Commons bzw. WMF gibt. Du kennst Dich hier viel besser aus. Korrekturanfrage

Hallo Raymond, gerade wollte ich die Gadget-Definition des hiesigen Helferleins „HidePostEdit“ ändern, kann mir aber den Quelltext nur anzeigen lassen, ändern kann ich ihn nicht. Im Translatewiki kann ich den Text partout nicht finden; irgendetwas mache ich wohl falsch. Könntest du einmal schauen und das „Verberge“ in „Verbirg“ bzw. „Verbirgt“ ändern? Commodore Amiga Chips

Gadgets updaten

Hallo Raymond, kannst du so nett sein und dich um MediaWiki talk:Gadget-LargerGallery.js#Necessary update after change in code base sowie dem themengleichen MediaWiki talk:Gadget-DeferredDisplay.js#Necessary update after change in code base kümmern? GalleryDetails und QICvote waren auch betroffen, sind aber schon bearbeitet worden.

Es gibt dann noch vier weitere Gadgets, die aber weder in der Gadget-description stehen noch in Commons genutzt werden (weswegen ich nicht im Detail nach der notwendigen Änderung geschaut habe), aber vielleicht extern. Was soll mit denen geschehen? Eines wird angeblich durch Bots genutzt. Kurze Auflistung: MediaWiki:Gadget-DeepLearningServices.js (hier könnte man den Ersteller selbst um das Update bitten), MediaWiki:FileContentsByBot.js (verweist auf Template:FileContentsByBot), MediaWiki:GalleryPicker.js und MediaWiki:Gadget-NSFW.js (ist das eventuell ein Vorgänger von Gadget-DeferredDisplay?). — Speravir – 00:13, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Indirekter Bezug: Ich weiß in Commons immer nicht, wo ich die Interface-Admins direkt ansprechen kann. Translatewiki, zu ändernde Texte

Du bist ja im TranslateWiki sehr aktiv. Für die Vorlagen {{Author missing}}, {{Description missing}} und {{Source missing}} hat ein Benutzer eine Änderung der Fettmarkierung in den Vorlagentexten beantragt, die für mich durchaus sinnvoll erscheint, nur zeigt sich, dass dafür jeweils über 100 kurze Texte im TranslateWiki geändert werden müssten. Gibt es dafür eine etablierte Strategie? Ich könnte mir lateinische und kyrillische Texte ansehen (und Griechisch) und kann mir vorstellen, diese sauber anzupassen, aber erstens ohne Gewähr und dann gibt es zweitens ja noch die Sprachen in anderen Schriftsystemen. Eventuell antwortet man ihm auf einer der drei Talkseiten (nur auf der erstgenannten ist die Anfrage deaktiviert, aber genau dort gibt es eine Antwort Nachtrag: Irrtum/falsch erinnert) und verweist von den zwei anderen auf diese. — Speravir – 22:56, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

@Speravir Danke für den Hinweis auf die Anfragen. Ich habe hier geantwortet: Template_talk:Source_missing#Layout_update_and_highlighting_the_key_message. Erst wenn das Task mit einer Änderung der englischen Texte geschlossen wurde, können die Übersetzungen bearbeitet werden. Hierzu werden die Übersetzungen als "Fuzzy" = "zu überarbeiten" markiert, so dass die Übersetzer*innen die Übersetzungen anpassen können. Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo Raymond,

Sieger 2022 – Kloster Paulinzella

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2023 findet zum dreizehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Vergangenes Jahr hat Radomianin mit einer Gesamtansicht von Kloster Paulinzella gewonnen. Welcher Fotograf oder welche Fotografin tritt dieses Jahr die Nachfolge an?

Nach WLM 2022 sind wieder zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden – zum Beispiel die Denkmallisten in Waltershausen in Thüringen oder in Fulda.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Für das einfache Auffinden haben wir eine Upload-Karte erstellt, in der viele aber leider noch nicht alle Kulturdenkmale angezeigt werden können. Das Laden der Objekte dauert dort etwas.

Wir haben dieses Jahr „drei Sonderpreise für Bilder von Friedhöfen“ ausgelobt. Zugelassen sind für den Sonderpreis auch Fotos von Friedhöfen, die nicht denkmalgeschützt sind.

Hi Raymond, vielleicht hast du eine zweite Meinung zur korrekten und praktischen Namensgebung cat (Stadt) Rees auf Commons. Rees klingt für mich doch ganz anders und weniger attaktiv als Rees (Germany) oder ähnliches. Die Diskussionsseite ist hier. Das einzige Problem war das es auch eine Nachname ist. Die heutige Lösung gefällt mir am besten. Der 'Überholer' wollte ursprunglich Rees (Düsseldorf) verwenden. Das schien mir zu absurd. MfG Peli (talk) 11:28, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

"Rees (Niederrhein)" wäre auch noch möglich, vergleich mit "Voerde (Niederrhein)", aber zum arbeiten innerhalb von Kreis Kleve cats lieber nicht .. (Kreis Kleve), es suggeriert für ein wenig das es innerhalb von Deutschland weitere Rees' gibt. Die Lösung cat:Rees, am Rhein war möglich wohl abgeschaut von Touristik-websites und alte Postkarten, dürfte sich aber nicht von Commons ausgehend weiter etablieren als gängiger od. sogar offizieller Name. Erst wollte ich versuchen Klammern zu vermeiden aber die verdeutlichen besser das es eine Notname ist. Obwohl ich den Not nicht wahrnehme. Bei nur 1 gültiger Instanz sehe ich es als fiktionales Problem. Das es ein irgendwo anders Problemen geben könnte, wird in Kreis Kleve erst dann penetrant sichtbar durch die vorgeschlagene Lösung. Wünschenswert ist m.E. das technische Fixes wo möglich unter die Haube bleiben. Ich habe jetzt gerade in cat:Rees einen halb geöffneter cat-tree plaziert um zu zeichen das sehr viele Namensänderungen nötig wären damit die Navigation wirksam bleibt. @Pelikana Hmmmm, hmmmm, "Voerde (Niederrhein)" finde ich kein gutes Beispiel, was das inkl. Klammer der offizielle Name der Gemeinde ist, siehe https://www.voerde.de/de/inhalt/impressum/ . "Rees, am Rhein" finde ich auch nicht so gut, weil das so offiziell klingt, wie "Emmerich am Rhein". Vor ca. 20 Jahren (müsste nachschauen, hatte sich Emmerich ja in Emmerich am Rhein umbenannt.

Ohne jeden Zusatz gefällt es mir natürlich auch am besten. Wenn schon eine Klammer, dann auch nur für die Hauptkategorie, aber nicht für alle Unterkategorien, oder geht das nicht wegen der Navigation? Flickypedia soft launch and a huge thank you

Dear fellow Commons photographer,

I hope this message finds you well. As you might already know, the Flickr Foundation has been busy creating a new Flickr-to-Commons bridge (“Flickypedia”) this year. After a successful demo at the GLAM Wiki Conference in Montevideo, the Flickr Foundation team is now inviting all members of the Commons Photographers User Group to be the first to review their alpha, reporting any technical issues or other feedback via the Flickypedia project talk page.

At the same time, this message is an opportunity for me to thank you for your trust and support over the past couple of years. Since 2017, we've grown into being one of the largest user groups in the Wikimedia universe. I've tremendously enjoyed interacting with all of our members when it came to joint photowalks at Wikimanias, virtual Zoom meetings where we covered a wide variety of photography topics, as well as our annual “Most memorable shot of the year”, among many other events. As I'm not running for an official position in our current board election, this will be my last message on behalf of the user group to you. Thanks for all the happy moments we shared together over the years! I hope you'll continue creating free images for the millions of people we serve through Wikipedia and Commons.

Bitte um Verschiebung eines Files wg. unzutreffendem File-Namen

Guten Morgen Raymond, mir ist leider ein sehr misslicher Fehler beim Hochladen von zwei Videos und einigen Fotos passiert. - Ich habe die katalanische (spanische) Musikgruppe Sübitus ( https://www.facebook.com/SubitusMedieval/ ) mit der (korrekten Musikgruppe Els Berros de la Cort ( https://elsberrosdelacort.cat/ ) verwechselt und (u.a.) dieser File hat nun den völlig unzutreffenden/falschen Namen : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Musikgruppe_S%C3%BCbitus,_Terra_de_Trobadors_2023.webm ... das kann und darf natürlich nicht so bleiben. - Wärst Du evtl. bereit, diesen File nach :

• File:Musikgruppe Els Berros de la Cort, Festival Terra de Trobadors 2023.wbm --- (überschreibe/lösche : File:Musikgruppe Sübitus, Terra de Trobadors 2023.webm )

...zu verschieben (und die falsche Version zu überschreiben/löschen ? (Falls nicht, würde natürlich das Kölsche Grundgesetz gelten : Watt fott is is fott !)

Bei den nachstehenden (gem. Guten Morgen @Gordito1869. Ich habe alle Dateien auf den korrekten Namen verschoben. Die Löschwarnungen habe ich entfernt. Sie resultierten daraus, dass du neben den Kategorien auch die Lizenz gelöscht hattest. Das war unnötig. Bitte kontrolliere alles und füge wieder passende Kategorien hinzu. Good afternoon. Could you speedily delete now Commons:Deletion requests/File:Raisa Vasilyeva postage stamp.jpg - Wikimedia Commons? I was the original author of the file, then was blocked (for 5-year-old lock evasion) and now want any administrator to delete this nonsense as fast as possible because I took it from an unreliable online source and now realize it is not the legitimate postage stamp (it is fabricated). Reversion on transformer image

Greetings. The forms on which the copper wire is wound is called a bobbin. It is not yarn or thread, but really bobbins have a much mor general use than that. Do you still oppose to my edit? Constant314 (talk) 20:10, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
