Protection of User talk:Wuestenigel[edit]

Hallo AFBorchert, for me it has been the usual procedure to close the user pages of locked users. In addition, one finds all previous deletion notifications in the version history. Hi Ra'ike, thank you for reverting this. At Commons, we prefer to archive user talk pages and to keep them open. Even for banned users like User talk:Russavia or User talk:INeverCry. We do this for two reasons as we can watch the deletion requests as they come and as this gives the users the opportunity to ask for an unblock using {{Unblock}}. Hallo Hystrix und vielen Dank für den Hinweis. Ich habe den Unsinn gleich zurückgesetzt. Selbst wenn diese Band relevant sein sollte, hat sie nichts unter der Edelsteinkategorie "Heliotrop" zu suchen, sondern müsste theoretisch nach Category:Heliotropes, siehe en:Heliotropes (band). Hi, kannst du die Ticket-Nummern „2018093010005201“ und „2018093010005246“ bearbeiten? Das ist ja eins deiner Betätigungsfelder und ich dachte einfach mal, ich wende mich damit nun an dich. Da könnten allerdings noch einige Tickets hinzukommen. Ich beschäftige mich zurzeit intensiv mit einem Artikel und dieser muss reichlich bebildert werden. Hallo RS34, die beiden Freigaben wurden unter der Ticket-Nr. 2018093010005201 zusammengefasst. Es wäre übrigens besser gewesen, die Nachricht vom Urheber direkt weiterzuleiten, anstatt eine Bilddatei daraus zu machen. Hallo RS34, ich habe dem Bistum Essen als Rechteinhaber jetzt nochmal selbst geantwortet, weil die Freigabe leider immer noch nicht unseren Vorgaben entsprach. Vor allem ist die Einschränkung, Bilder "bei Wikipedia zur Veröffentlichung und Nutzung freizugeben", nicht zulässig und es muss explizit eine für Wikipedia nutzbare Lizenz angegeben werden, unter der die Bilder verwendet werden dürfen. Thank you for your hard work to create the sum of all knowledge that is freely sharable to every single human being across the world. As our diverse community grows, we need a guideline that will help all of our work collectively and constructively where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and part of a team. That is why the Wikimedia movement is working on establishing a global guideline called the Universal Code of Conduct, often referred to as UCoC.

After the months-long policy consultation, we have prepared a policy (available in many languages) that has been ratified by the Board of Trustees. We’re currently in the second phase of the process. During this round of consultation, we want to discuss the implementation of this policy. As a member of the functionary team of Wikimedia Commons, your opinion on enforcement is of great value. We want to hear from you on how this policy can be enforced on the Wikimedia Commons community and what might be needed to do so. There are a few enforcement questions so you can easily outline your answers based on them. Please do not hesitate to bring any more questions/challenges you think are not yet discussed.

The discussion is taking place on Commons:Universal Code of Conduct consultation. Bitte um kleine Hilfestellung[edit]

Moin Rai'ke! Ich möchte im Wikipedia-Artikel "ISBCAD" das uralte Logo gegen das aktuelle Logo tauschen und habe mit dem Rechteinhaber Kontakt aufgenommen, der mir das Logo auf freundlicherweise als SVG-Datei zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Grundsätzlich weiß ich, was ich machen muss, aber in diesem Falle ist es das allererste Mal, das ich eine Datei hochladen möchte, deren Urheber mir a) nicht persönlich bekannt ist und b) eine kommerzielle Firma ist. Und da möchte ich nichts falsch machen. Ich habe in Commons mal ein bisschen geforscht, aber so richtig gefunden haben ich dazu wenig (wahrscheinlich derselbe Effekt wie im Supermarkt, wo ich zwanzigmal an den Brechbohnen vorbeilaufe ohne sie wirklich zu sehen). Konkret: Wie muss die schriftliche Erlaubnis des Rechteinhabers aussehen, die er dann an Permission senden muss. Gibt es da etwas besonderes zu beachten? Und vor allem: Wer genau muss diese eMail senden. Der Geschäftsführer der GmbH? Der Designer, der für die Firma das Logo entworfen hat? Kann das ein Angestellter im Auftrag der Geschäftsführung machen? Kannst Du mir da weiterhelfen oder mich in die richtige Richtung lenken, wo ich diese Infos selbst ausgraben kann? Hallo Michael Kleerbaum, was Du brauchst, ist in jedem Fall eine Freigabe des Urhebers bzw. hier wohl den Rechteinhabern des Logos. Wichtig ist vor allem, dass eindeutig daraus hervorgeht, wer der Urheber bzw. der sogenannte "Inhaber des vollumfänglichen Nutzungsrechtes" ist, denn nur dieser darf die Freigabe aussprechen und er muss mit der Veröffentlichung unter einer freien Lizenz einverstanden sein, siehe auch de:Hilfe:FAQ zu Bildern#Welche Lizenzen sind frei für die Wikipedia?.
Am einfachsten nutzt man dafür die Freigabevorlage unter de:Wikipedia:Textvorlagen#Einverständniserklärung für Bild/Foto-Freigaben (ähnliche gibt's auch auf Commons unter Commons:E-Mail-Vorlagen) und bittet die Firma darum, diese auszufüllen und zusammen mit dem Bild des Logos an permissions-de@wikimedia.org zu senden. Das Wikipedia/Wikimedia-Support-Team kümmert sich dann um Prüfung der Freigabe und den Upload bei Commons.
Sollte/n der/die Rechteinhaber stattdessen Dir die Freigabe zusenden, kannst Du die Mail an die o.g. Mail-Adresse weiterleiten (nicht kopieren oder so, sondern wirklich über den Weiterleitungs-Knopf des Mailprogramms, damit Mailkopf und Anhänge mitgeschickt werden).

Unsinnige Dateien des Users:Ali ngtde[edit]

Hallo Ra'ike, da du gestern drei Dateien des Nutzer gelöscht hast, kurz der Hinweis an dich direkt dass da zwei neue (wieder mit unsinnigen Kategorien) hochgeladen wurden, die für Commons untauglich sind. In zwei Projekten ist der Nutzer schon gesperrt und ich kam auch nur aufgrund einer völlig wirren Artikelanlage in "de" auf die Fotos. Zumindest die Bilder sollten wieder gelöscht werden, mir fehlt darüberhinaus die Phantasie dass der User hier sinnvoll beitragen kann. Mirer (talk) 14:12, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How we will see unregistered users[edit]

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. Hallo Raymond, eigentlich gibt es sogar zwei Begriffe. Auf die Stufe selbst bezogen handelt es sich um ein Mineral-Aggregat und auf die Minerale bezogen um eine Paragenese (auch Vergesellschaftung). Viele Grüße -- Ra'ike T C 17:08, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Goshenite[edit]

Hallo Ra'ike, Ich habe eben Fotos von Goshenit hochgeladen. Dabei fiel mir auf, dass möglicherweise in Category:Goshenite zuviele Fotos von Beryll drin sind, die da nicht reingehören könnten, zumindest nach meinem querlesen des Artikel über Beryll. Raymond (talk) 20:32, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, die Kontrolle ging bei den aktuell 121 Dateien doch recht schnell. Es sind aber tatsächlich alles Goshenite (= farblose Berylle), die aber gelegentlich mit anderen Mineralen vergesellschaftet sind wie unter anderem mit Morganit, Schörl oder zoniertem Turmalin. Twist braid is not braid[edit]

Hello Zaripov999, a twist braid could be a special form of a braid, but the Category:Twist braids didn't exist (like other thousands of non-existent categories) and the top category is Category:Braids.
