Dice Distribution[edit]

On File:Dice Distribution (bar).svg, could you remove the strange numbers on the left that don't line up with the values of the p.m.f.? And maybe move the fractions to the left axis? I would, but I can't get my Inkscape to do anything with it. Dicklyon (talk) 03:31, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The numbers are not strange at all: they are probabilities in decimal representation (where the scale on the right is in fractions). They are useful to allow different distributions to be compared, as in File:Dice sum central limit theorem.svg. cmglee (talk) 08:58, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But they're not being used for that, and multiples of 0.02 are strange when unrelated to anything useful. Dicklyon (talk) 19:42, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dicklyon, I don’t get what you’re talking about. The axis on the left is a completely normal decimal axis as used in any and all graphs. It is useful for the same reason and purpose as it is in all other graphs. The fractions are nice for the exact value, but the decimals are what give me the real feeling of magnitude. They should stay. — Timwi (talk) 23:11, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment, but unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with the subject to make an informed change. I merely made the arrows more visible in that graphic. cmglee (talk) 18:59, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, could you please add a date to this? -mattbuck (Talk) 20:12, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2013! Please help with this survey.

Dear Cmglee,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2013, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again a few minutes of your time.

Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 365,000 pictures of cultural heritage objects from more than 50 countries around the world, becoming the largest photography competition to have ever taken place.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet).

If you'd like to start editing relevant Wikipedia articles and share your knowledge with other people, please go to the Wikipedia Welcome page for more information, guidance, and help.

To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey. Please fill in this short survey in your own language, and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2013.

Kind regards,

the Wiki Loves Monuments team
