Goree[edit]

Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senegal´s president Abdoulaye Wade in Gorée Island (Senegal).

Agradeço a atenção. --Carlosar 01:22, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Só para esclarecer[edit]

Patrick, nunca sequer mencionei a palavra "fair use" no Commons.

--FML hi 22:46, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Até hoje você não me pediu desculpas. --Patrick-br msg 11:16, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
--FML hi 12:52, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Recife[edit]

Do you have an explanation for the fact, that "Bairro de (Quarter of) Boa Viagem" is not displayed with a gallery-solution? Jo-Jo 21:33, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

---

I accept your arguments of 3. Nov. 11:06 UTC. Maybe the situation will get better, if WIKIMEDIA has finished switching file servers (see the "Warning!" on top of each page). Let's try it again then with "gallery". Jo-Jo 21:03, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

---

Hi Patrick! I reverted Recife again. Your gallery-solution doesn't work. Recife-Boa-Viagem.jpg is not displayed at all. By the way: This was exactly the situation, when I started working on this page. Even worse: The page consisted of Recife-Boa-Viagem.jpg. It was the only pic. And this was not displayed! Don't you think Wikimedia Commons exist for displaying pics and not for not displaying them?

Why did you remove Recife_2005_JAN_25_VeniceOfTheSouth%28Carneval-Time%29.JPG? My solution with tables displays Recife-Boa-Viagem.jpg. Furthermore one can see all pics, because they are not as tiny as they are with the gallery-solution - obviously.

If you get a gallery-solution working, it would be fine for me too. Greets, Jo-Jo

Atenciosamente --Carlosar 16:14, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Obrigado,

Hello, Patrick-br!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Thanks for uploading File:Brasão-UFRN.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

Giro720 (talk) 20:32, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Removi a marcação; pensarei com calma no assunto. Giro720 (talk) 21:47, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

--Patrick-br msg 16:56, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Category discussion warning

Oil companies has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.
