Your assistance please[edit]

You recently deleted, then redirected, File:Off-duty GIs tour Guantanamo's border gates.png to File:Off duty GIs, on a tour of the Guantanamo base, mingle just inside the gate to Cuba -a.jpg.

I recently did some maintenance on Category:Border gates at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. While I remember that there were similar images, I don't remember seeing any that were actually identical.

Could you please confirm that that the two images were identical, not merely similar?

From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. Exact or scaled-down duplicate?[edit]

I recall closely examining both versions of the images linked here and determining there were very slight processing differences. It probably does not matter in this case, but I am usually careful in these matters, checking the histograms and sometimes the jpeg artefacts, and I may have made a mistake. Was one clearly reduced in scale from the other? The remaining image is File:Nova et Accuratissima Terrarum Orbis Tabula (J.Blaeu, 1664).jpg. -84user (talk) 00:13, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I really appreciate the color, but the monochrome version appears to have better details to my eyes (at some parts I mean). Utilisation d'image[edit]

Je viens de lire que vous souhaitez être contacté lorsque l'on utilise vos images. C'est donc ce que je fais ici: j'ai utilisé quelques photos montrant les pompiers de Bruxelles en intervention afin d'illustrer certains articles de wikipédia, notamment celui à propos des pompiers en Beglique.

Suivant les paramètres du template (doc), il peut être utilisé pour des images de qualité, des images qui sont des FP sur d'autres wiki, des images étiquetées comme ayant des bonnes proportions pour un fond d'écran... Schéma animé ?[edit]

Bonjour M0tty, je découvre ton profil avec des compétences graphiques. Pourrais-tu trouver un contributeur qui pourrait réaliser une animation (genre .GIF) du schéma des positions des troupes lors de la bataille de Waterloo. ce serait tellement plus intelligible d'avoir une (ou plusieurs) animations [On approche du bicentenaire en 2015] plutôt que de longues et obscures explications en mode texte.
