VI nomination[edit]

Hi, Hans!

About Guiana chestnut, fruit. There are some variants: ripe, unripe and very interesting view inside. Probably, narrower scope is required.

Also that you think concerning my nomination Tinder fungus, inside?

With best regards, -- George Chernilevsky talk 06:58, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks George for the remarks. I adjusted the scope to 'ripe fruit'. Scopes of unripe fruit and/or seeds are then conceivable. Concerning your fungus, Maybe a single image with both complete fungus and section would do better as a VI, or alternatively a VI set with a section, a top view, a bottom view, a young sample, an old specimen and perhaps some mycelium and spores? Lycaon (talk) 08:03, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, i support nomination with new scope. And about my nomination: it is rare image in Internet as whole, not only on Commons. I think, it is good nomination, because sub-scope like this some times was used. Example "exterior" and "interior", "male" and "female" etc... -- George Chernilevsky talk 08:26, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then maybe you should use 'section' instead of 'inside'? Lycaon (talk) 08:30, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You! Scope now changed and file description now corrected. It is problem with my biological English. In Russian biological 'section' is 'inside view' - 'вид изнутри' or 'вид в разрезе' --George Chernilevsky talk 09:02, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

Hi, Could you please rename File:Litchis.jpg to File:Rambutans.jpg? --Muhammad (talk) 18:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming is unfortunately not possible (it was for a brief period of time, but this functionality has been switched off many months ago). If however you reupload under the correct name, and tell me, I can get rid of the wrongly named version for you. Regards. Lycaon (talk) 18:35, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Note: A bot can do a rename for you, but then the upload is registered under the bot and not under your name. Lycaon (talk) 18:37, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CU request[edit]

Are you aware of Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/Estrilda? You really should take a look at that. An explanation would be good, if one can be provided. Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 04:04, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your answer there was not sufficient. You need to review what I said and respond in detail, or the alternate account will be blocked. ++Lar: t/c 11:25, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your attention as noted here is necessary please. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 08:58, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hans, Do you mind checking this user? Apparentely it was created with the sole purpose of commenting the Big Ben picture above. I've been reverting his/her edits because I don't thing that is the proper place to contest a QI promotion. What do you think? -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 10:57, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If that is a checkuser request, then I think it is not appropriate for a minor dispute like that --Tony Wills (talk) 11:47, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Beautiful Picture of the Day![edit]

Gratulation! Greetings. Orchi (talk) 12:41, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, in November we delayed a final discussion and resolution until December on this matter. Your input is welcomed; we'd like to find out what is happening and settle things fairly. Respectfully, Durova (talk) 04:12, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Full explanations and (where necessary) apologies were offered to Lar by mail several weeks ago. He chose to ignore. So be it. This place is no longer fun. Lycaon (talk) 13:18, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please come back[edit]
