Initial message: File tagging Image:Earbhnscity.png, posted by Diti (d · c).

Hello, your rendered images (not only the one mentioned above) probably use textures you didn't create by yourself. So you cannot relicense thems under the license of your choice, unless those textures are under a free licence or within Public Domain. If that's the case, please give the source of the images you used, or remove the works composing your renders that don't belong to you. Thank you. Diti the penguin 13:16, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I do make most of the textures you see in my images, whenever I use something downloaded from the web I've first made sure it's NOT copyrighted and I usually note it, like here: File:Dc10erebus.png.
(Unless you count randomly generated textures from Blender and any sample textures included with the software.)
What in this image do you think I'm "stealing"? Anynobody (talk) 22:55, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
On this image, it is unclear if you used a texture for the Earth from some place on the internet, or if it comes (as you say so) from Blender. As a potential reuser, I wondered if I could safely use the image, and as a contributor, I sent you a notification (along with a message, it doesn't seem “human” otherwise…). My apologies if this message appeared harsh to you. :( Diti the penguin 23:41, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Earth, in this image, is actually made up of three textures. The land masses originally came from a sample texture included with AutoCAD 2002 which I used Inkscape to trace into a vector enhanced meta file (.EMF) so I could increase the size and detail it in Paint Shop Pro. Here are thumbnails of each:
I don't take your concern as harsh, I reposted on your page because sometimes people leave messages which I respond to but receive no further communication. (Figured they may have forgotten or assumed I wouldn't answer, so I started responding directly.) Anynobody (talk) 02:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC) reposted here 19:30, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
