Hello Chmee2, I do not understand why you nominated the picture Image:Jean-Leon Gerome Pollice Verso.jpg for deletion. You said "Copy to [Image:Jean-Leon Gerome Pollice Verso.jpg]" but this is exactly the same filename.

Furthermore, if you nominate an image for deletion, please do not only place the deletion tag on the image description page, but please also list the image at the "deletion requests" (for more information, see the deletion tag).

Botanic name of tree

That was a very fast reaction.
Just another thing that might interest you. I include the coordinates of the subject when it is an important building or an important large tree. For that I use Google earth to find the position and include the coordinates in the description. I doing normaly same (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Kladská_forrest.jpg or other my pictures) because I thinking that is realy good, but with this tree(s) is problem that I have no idea where is it :) I was on excursion with the school and I had any idea where our bus stoped in part of west Czech republic so I can´t writte there GPS position. Kestřanské tvrze

Všiml jsem si, že jste vložil šablonu {{Badname}} na stránky obrázků Image:Kestřany-Horní tvrz 2.jpg a Image:Kestřany-Horní tvrz.jpg. Nejsem schopen ověřit, která z tvrzí je horní a která dolní (a proto také sám nebudu popisky a zařazení do kategorií opravovat). Nicméně pokud je nějaký obrázek špatně popsán, tak je především nutno opravit popis (description) a případně zařazení do kategorie (chybný název mají spousty obrázků a je to až druhotný problém, jehož řešení není zcela nutné). Šablonu {{Badname}} každopádná má smysl na stránku obrázku umisťovat teprve tehdy, vytvoříte-li duplikát souboru pod novým názvem, přičemž nový název uvedete na původní stránce za svislítkem. ahoj, nevim jestli sis toho všiml, chtěl jsem ti napsat, ale pak jsem na to zapomněl. Když jsem ty kategorie zakládal, tak jsem je pomotal a přehodil Dolní za Horní a Horní za Dolní. Dneska jsem po dlouhé době udělal nápravu a našel tam i tvoje fotky, tak jsem je skopíroval na disk a nahrál jsem je pod novým názvem a současně pod správným. Tyhle kategorie jsem pak vyprázdnil právě šablonou bad name a zase je pak nahrál pod novým a správným názvem. Udělal jsem to včetně tvojich fotek, jediné co tedka, tak se ti nepočítají do editcauntu, ale nechal jsem tam tvůj popisek a všechno, jak jsi tam měl a vložil (jediné, opravil jsem horní za dolní atd a doplnil GPS souřadnice). Jestli chceš, najdu ti názvy těch obrázků, jak se tedka nově jmenují, jestli je chceš sledovat. Omlouvám se za tenhle zákrok, ale jinak ta chyba, co jsem kdys udělal opravit nešla. --Chmee2 22:44, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

PS: jelikož jsem věděl, že to budu řešit komplexně a pro cca 30 obrázků, tak jsem nedával za svistlítko název souboru, jelikož by to docela zdržovalo a neměl jsem moc času na zbyt. Jak píšu, případně ti nové názvy najdu a nebo koukni ke mne do galerie a uvidíš je rychle. Měj se

Nejspíš to tedy asi bylo tak, že tvůj text v článku a tvoje názvy fotek jsem bral automaticky za správné a podle toho jsem pak pojmenoval i své fotky, aniž bych to ověřoval odjinud. Takže je pochopitelné, že ses snažil svoji někdejší chybu napravit i na mých fotkách. Editcaunty mě moc nezajímají, to už spíš používám záložku "gallery" pro přehled mých fotek – ale takový už je osud, pár mých fotek mi z galerie sem tam zmizí, a spousta cizích fotek se mi zase v mé galerii objeví jen proto, že je třeba přemístím z Wikipedie atd. Já se při jakékoliv manipulaci s cizími fotkami snažím většinou držet původního názvu, i když je vyloženě chybný nebo s překlepem: je v tom mém přístupu trocha lenosti, trocha opatrnosti i trocha respektu k vrtochům autorů (když nějaký cizinec nazve fotku z Bělehradské ulice "Behleradska.jpg", tak mi to přijde docela neškodné a roztomilé. Ale hlavně jestli teď už jsou ty tvrze v článku i u obrázků popsány správně. --ŠJů 13:32, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Coud the location be specified?

Náhodou jsem zrovínka narazil na obrázek Image:Sand mining-panorama.jpg. Moc působivá ilustrace, takže jen škoda, že se člověk z popisu nedočte název místa nebo údaj o jeho bližší poloze. Nešlo by to příležitostně nějak doplnit. Předem za to dík, zdraví zvědavý :-) Miaow Miaow 18:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

ahoj, pokusim se to nějak dohledat, ale problém je, že jsem to fotil na nějaké geologické exkurzi, kde jsme toho dne stavěli asi na 10 lokalitách, takže v tom mám guláš. Ale zkusim se někde poptat a nebo propátrat další materiály Chmee2 (talk) 10:14, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Tak už vim, že je to u obce Provodín, majitelem firmy Provodínské písky a.s. Dokonce si myslím, že to je čerstvě otevíraná pískovna na Loc: 50°38'29.822"N, 14°34'36.984"E, ale 100% si jist nejsem, už nemám žádné vodítko, jak přesně tu pískovnu určit (je jich tam v okolí více, ale tahle je to tak na 80%)--Chmee2 (talk) 09:54, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Developing this site, we are continously looking for additional information and pictures. Apart from this we have the aim to secure images of mineral specimen and fossils as a heritage for science and for the public - before the specimen become untraceable and disappear. We would really appreciate if you could let us have the permission to use some of your pictures to be used on our non-commercial encyclopedia sites. We would certainly mark your authorship by setting up an own author site which would contain following information: author, permission, link to your web site (if you like) and possibly further information which you could give us. Each granted picture/article would refer to this author site. Our free encyclopedia -developed by and for our visitors- is updated daily and is been issued as an offline version on electronic media like CD/DVD from time to time. A publication in the form of a book would also be possible. Mineralienatlas is a non-commercial project which is mostly being financed by sponsors. All generated incomes over the Mineralienatlas are exclusively used for the maintenance and development of the web sites. Písek (město)

Ahoj, kolego, prosím, mohl bys nějak upravit zmatek, který tu na Commons panuje u města Písku? Z naší stránky o městu Tě to hodí na "Písek", zatímco ze slovenské na "Category:Písek". A všude jsou odlišné obr., což je škoda. Nešlo by to nějak sloučit a rozumně poskládat obrázky, kam patří? V té Category je totiž místy bordýlek. Díky --Feťour (talk) 16:58, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Odkaz u jména autorky

Ahoj, v rámci diskusí o autorských právech atd. jsem zabrousil na tvůj přehled úspěchů v získávání OTRS a na File:Průmyslový palác fire (6).jpg. Poněkud se mi nepozdává, že kliknutím na jméno autorky snímku se člověk dostane na tvoji osobní stránku. Kdybych tě neznal z Wikipedie, tak bych tomu rozuměl tak, že Chmee2 je internetová přezdívka Marie Kolovratníkové. Není to jen nějaký tvůj omyl při kopírování šablony? --ŠJů (talk) 15:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

ahoj, už se mne na to ptalo více lidí. Myslel jsem to tak, aby když se klikne na to jméno to odkázalo na odpovědného editora, který to tam nahrál. Nevím, jestli to tedy nepředělat, ať je to uplně jasné. Přišlo mi to takto logické a dobré --Chmee2 (talk) 17:36, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

To bych tedy řekl, že určitě předělat, nebo alespoň to už nikde neopakovat. Klikací odkaz na editora, který obrázek nahrál, je v dolní části stránky v sekci Historie souboru. Klikací odkaz se jménem autora by nepochybně měl směřovat na nějakou stránku o autorovi a nikam jinam. Tedy buď na jeho osobní stránku na Commons, nebo na jeho osobní stránku na některé Wikipedii, nebo na encyklopedický článek o autorovi, případně na jeho osobní internetovou prezentaci. Takto to podle mne nedává vůbec žádný smysl, protože když na to kliknu, na zobrazené tvé osobní stránce není o Marii Kolovratníkové ani zmínka. Něco jiného by bylo, kdyby odkaz vedl třeba na nějakou tvoji osobní podstránku, kde bys vedl seznam autorů, o jejichž díla "pečuješ". --ŠJů (talk) 18:04, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Přehrání cizího souboru vlastním

Zdravím. Při třídění fotek z Nového Města jsem si všiml, že jsi v roce 2007 Eggův soubor File:Albertov deska.jpg přehrál evidentně jinou, zřejmě svou vlastní fotografií téhož objektu. Předpokládám, že šlo o nějakou začátečnickou chybu: nejsi jediný, kdo si jako začátečník neuvědomoval, že načíst novou verzi souboru je něco naprosto jiného než například vyměnit fotku v článku, a že je nepřípustné přehrávat cizí soubor vlastním, byť by byl lepší. Přinejmenším tím zpravidla vzniká zmatek v tom, kdo je autorem, kdo k čemu uvolnil autorská práva a kdy byla fotka pořízena (tys tam například v popisu nechal původní údaj o datu pořízení, který podle všeho neodpovídal tvé fotce).

V tomto případě jsem se to pokusil dát do pořádku a tvůj soubor nahrát pod novým názvem File:Albertov deska (01).jpg. Zkontroluj si tam, prosím, údaje (zejména v poli autor se oprav na autora - protože tvé jasné prohlášení o autorství chybělo, tak jsem tě tam zatím uvedl jen jako uploadera). A pokus se rozpomenout, jestli jsi podobný postup použil i v jiných případech, které bude třeba také napravit. Díky. --ŠJů (talk) 17:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Osobně si myslím, že přehrání cizího souboru vlastní lepší verzí je hotové požehnání. Myslím, že ve většíně případů nový autor je schopen akceptovat původní licenci a pokud by nebyl, změna licence není probém myslím, vždyť se jedná o nový obrázek.--Kozuch (talk) 18:22, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

@Kozuch: Jde o to pochopit, že stránka souboru na Commons přísluší jednomu konkrétnímu (autorskému) dílu, nikoliv aktuálně nejlepšímu záběru na dané téma. Fotky lze dle libosti a dle potřeby vyměňovat a nahrazovat v článcích či v galeriích, ale nová verze souboru nemá být nic jiného než nová verze téhož souboru. Dát lepší fotku do článku nebo do galerie je požehnání, ale měnit fotku pod jedním názvem souboru je, technicky vzato, prasárna, která dělá bordel v historii souboru (když pominu, že většina lidí, kteří podobné akce dělají, obvykle nechá část údajů popisu chybnou, tak historie doprovodné stránky se zobrazuje odděleně od historie načítání verzí, takže je pak obtížné se v podobných změnách vyznat). Odůvodněné je to snad jen v případě, kdy omylem nahraješ jiný soubor, než pro který jsi psal popis, a následně omyl napravíš tak, že jej přehraješ správným souborem. Jinak je tento způsob přepisování souborů podobně absurdní, jako kdyby člověk, který po tobě zdědí pracovní místo, zároveň měl převzít tvoje jméno, příjmení, rodné číslo, manželku a rodiče. --ŠJů (talk) 19:41, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Ono to tak nějak vyplývá z logiky věci, že stránka souboru je průvodní stránkou souboru a nikoliv nějakou galerií nebo nástěnkou, kde se bude střídat aktuálně nejlepší fotka na dané téma. Stránka souboru je určena především k tomu, aby tam byly informace o konkrétním obrázku: o autorství, licenci, datu pořízení a také (mezi jiným) o tom, co na obrázku je. Z toho je soudnému člověku i bez dalšího vysvětlování jasné, že je nesmyslné přepisovat obrázek jiným obrázkem, který má jiného autora nebo byl pořízen jindy atd. Jestliže je přípustné přepsat obrázek jinou verzí, tak to samozřejmě neznamená jiným obrázkem téhož objektu. Stránka souboru není "průvodkou" té zobrazené pamětní desky, ale toho konkrétního obrázku, který pořídil konkrétní autor v konkrétní okamžik. Chápal bych, kdyby nějaký nováček, který ještě vůbec nepochopil, jak wikiprojekty fungují, a který navíc není zběhlý v technice a nemá smysl pro práci s informacemi, dokumentací a autorskými díly, netušil, jaký je rozdíl mezi výměnou obrázku a přepsáním obrázku nebo mezi jiným obrázkem a jinou verzí téhož obrázku. Ale je zarážející, když s pochopením mají problém i někteří jinak poměrně zkušení kolegové, a to dokonce i po důkladném vysvětlení a praktické (vlastní) ukázce, k jakým například chybám to přepisování často vede. Chápu, že občas někdo v něčem soustavně chybuje, protože mu něco nedojde, a když ho třeba po půl roce na to někdo upozorní, tak se chytne za nos a přestane tu chybu dělat. To se stane občas každému. Ale jaký má proboha smysl každou chybu zatrvzele obhajovat? (Tím mířím hlavně na Kozucha: Chmeeovy reakce mi připadaly adekvátní, byť z té poslední poznámky opět ztrácím jistotu, že jsi pochopil, o co jde.) Jinak sorry že se k tomuhle staršímu případu vracím, ale máte pravdu, že je třeba na to v návodech explicitněji upozornit, protože tu chybu dělá víc lidí. Tak jsem se kvůli probíhajícím diskusím porozhlédl po nějakých ukázkách: pamatuju i mnohem horší případy, kdy někdo byl schopný třeba přepsat fotku nějaká budovy fotkou z úplně jiného úhlu a jiné ulice, ale bohužel už ten příklad nedokážu najít. Use of image File:Illegal landfill near Smrkovice.jpg

I am using your image cropped down in a PowerPoint presentation alongside a game demonstration. We are showing the graphic as a real-world image of trash, and our game is about the benefits of picking up trash and recycling. Is this alright and how should we attribute it to you? Would simply adding "Photo by Petr Brož/Chmee2" work?

Greenland | dakujem

Hei. Thanks for your photos of the Greenland central highlands! I will steal a few of them for existing/planned articles. Last year, there was just a short article on Kangerlussuaq, and nothing beyond. I wrote a few articles, but many more are coming. Have you got to the grand canyon of the big river issuing from Isunnguata Sermia? That glacier btw will need its own article, so I'll 'borrow' your photos for enwiki ;) Also, do you have a good photo of w:Tasersuaq? Hi, I have here now around 1000 more unprocessed images from Greenland (and of course many are unsharp, overexposed or with some other defect) from eastern and western direction from Kangerlussuaq and from Artic Cyrcle Trail to Sisimiut, I will upload them soon. I am glad that you will use them to articles :)

However, I don´t think so that I have images of Isunnguata Sermia canyon cause we were fallow the road from Kangerlussuaq trough Issungua to Greenland ice shield (if I am not wrong about the localization). On the other hand, I have a lots of pictures of Tasersuaq lake (but only from ground and from mountains around) with Kangerluatsiarsuaq, also I have Amitsorsuaq lake, Qarlissuit lake, Itinneq river and lowland around (Ole's Lakseelv???) with new bridge there, Pingo hill, fjord Kangerluarsuk Tulleq and river and lakes floating to it and valley around, Sisimiut and also all tourist cottages during the trail. At least We made a huge number images of mosses, lichens and plants living there but I am not sure if we will be able to determinate them so I will see if I will be able to upload them to Commons. Čau, Podzemnik teďka hromadně ty kategorie zakládá, respektive je budeme zakládat viz odkaz. Je snazší tam přehodit správně to, co tam má být a založit ji později, když jsem na to náhodou narazil při vytváření jednoho seznamu, než to nechat ve špatné kategorizaci. Aby tě to nedráždilo, tak jsem tu kategorii založil včetně všech nadřazených kategorií (PS závěrem, jinak Ivaniny rybníčky jsou přírodní památkou = natural monument, nikoliv přírodní rezervaci = Nature reserve, jak jsi to zařadil ty. Jsou to dvě rozdílné věci a jejich pomíchání vede v budoucnu jen k možnému zanášení chyby do článků na Wikipedii). Díky, takto to je ok. Jinak k PS: z hlediska překladu máš pravdu, ale to co v Americe (asi i jinde) označují jako natural monument, je něco úplně jiného (obvykle velkého). Oni by naše rezervace a většinu PP označili jako nature reserve. Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

Omlouvám se rejpavost, ale s Canonem 50D udělat takovou fotku, tak se stydím:-(

Ahoj, to se nemáš za co omlouvat, je to prostě pravda. Já se za tu fotku taktéž stydím, ale přiznám se ti bez mučení, že když jsem jí pořizoval na konci fotografického dne po několika kilometrech pochodů v dešti a zimě, tak jsem neměl vůbec žádnou chuť si tam dlouhodobějc hrát s nastavením fotoaparátu. Až doma jsem bohužel zjistil, že tahle poslední památka měla díky bílé obloze špatně udělané fotky. Nicméně mezi možností žádná fotka/špatná fotka, je lepší mít aspoň nějakou fotku. Souhlasím ale, že až tuto oblast někdo přefotí lépe (minimálně já tam mám v plánu jet na jaře kvůli NPP Rovná, která je poblíž), tuto smažeme. To je prostě vývoj... Sharpness

Cannot catch the idea. Mexican Butterfly gets only comment, and the lampost gets opposing. Why those photos face different reaction? (BTW, it's similarly uneasy to get focus plane using a tilt lens. The focus plane is perpendicular to the lens, and rather narrow.) So I'd like to ask you for an advice, maybe I can edit the image to make it better? What can I do? Hi, the reason is that on lamp photo are more mistakes like chromatic aberation on the right side of the image in trees branches and also overexposed (?) sky in the left side. On the other hand, butterfly image is well composed, nice coloured without any significant another problems. I understand that it is hard to take good image of standing lamp or another objects, but in my opinion it is good to keep in mind, that not all images can be QI. And nominater has to think about it that many his/her images will be possible rejected because other people see some problems in it. And honestly, I am not sure what to do with the image to make it better in post-processing. You can try reduce chromatic aberation in GIMP2 or another processing software but I am sceptic that it will be possible save this image and reach QI with it. CA on the trees? Will fix, thanks. Overexposed sky? There's no FFF colour, so I cannot catch the idea. I doubted about the sharpness on the top because the sharpness has to be the same from top to bottom, it changes from left to right :-). And if this photo is not QI, I am to ask about its problems to remake it better. Tried to remove CA on the trees and on the bottom of the lampost. Top of the lamp is more sharp now. Please mind the changes, maybe they are enough. For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

Masopust masks

Ahoj, všiml jsem si kategorie Category:Masopust masks in Milevsku (a jejích podkategorií). Původně to byla asi chyba robota (respektive jeho vodiče, který neumí česky), když to přesouval, nechal tam vyskloňovaný tvar a teď to trochu nedává smysl. Původně jsem to chtěl přesunout ručně, ale když jsem si všiml počtu těch stránek, tak jsem od toho rychle upustil. Tady na Commons se moc nevyznám, nechceš se toho ujmout a případně sehnat nějakého bota na přesun? Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Chmee2,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

• In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
• In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.
