Genuinely nice to have the high-res version, BUT when you upload a different crop from a different source it belongs under a distinct filename, not as a "new version" of an existing file. I will re-upload yours as File:Iron Chink Bellingham 1905.jpg. Please fill in the source info accurately there. - Jmabel ! talk 02:32, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, the source link of the cropped version didn't work. It's the same photo though. I'll add some file information to the other version. - Artanisen (talk) 10:12, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel did some research and found that the original photo is from Museum of History & Industry, Seattle; [1]. It was taken in 1905, so it should be public domain, but I'm not sure. -Artanisen (talk) 19:10, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
File:Musician-Hideto-Matsumoto-Live-Concert-1992.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

It seems like the author steamXO wrongly attributed the image as Public Domain Mark 1.0 on Flickr. -Artanisen (talk) 13:04, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Artanisen, in the german Wikipedia an IP claims that the image does not show Emishi but Ainu. Unfortunately i have no access to the "Ainu to kodai Nippon", so that i can not prove it. Because you uploaded the file, can you please tell, where your information comes from? Wolf170278 (talk) 17:13, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wolf170278, the file description says it is a copy of an image on the English Wiki. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Emishi_from_an_emaki_circa_1324.jpg . If it is incorrect then it can be renamed. :Artanisen (talk) 07:05, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I didn't see the hint about the UploadWizard. So i will ask the original Uploader... Wolf170278 (talk) 13:09, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

- Hello, I awaited further input from users about this artwork on the dedicated page. When I first uploaded it there was information that it dated from the medieval period, but it appears to be made in the last century. So I agree with speedy deletion. -Artanisen (talk) 14:54, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This file may be deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Radhabinod Pal.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

Hello, I did not upload the first version of this image. I uploaded a higher quality version of the same photo. A different user uploaded the first photo and should know such details. Since it was unclear, I agree with the deletion of the image. -Artanisen (talk) 12:47, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a cropped image of this photo. The original photo was uploaded by そらみみ (Soramimi) on 19:29, 26 November 2017. If the cropped version of the statue is not allowed then the original photo is also not permitted. I agree with the deletion since it was made less than 70 years ago. Requesting further input from the original uploader そらみみ. -Artanisen (talk) 20:24, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
