Romanian domnitors[edit]

Hi! I've noticed that some time time ago you uploaded several pictures with Romanian domnitors. Recently I've discovered a web site with nice pictures regarding the subject that I thought you may like it. I don't know if I will have time (and patience) to upload them on Commons. I saw Image:ElectrecordSideB.jpg and I searched some for information about the year that the Gramophone was made. The label says 1883 but wikipedia says that the company was started in 1932. Stroboscope under article Gramophone[edit]

I note that you have provided a picture of a stroboscope for this article which you produced yourself (I'm not sure anyone could claim copyright on such an image). However, you have constructed it with 134 segments for the 45 rpm ring. This is not correct, the 45 rpm ring should have 133 segments. Both give a speed that is not exactly 45 rpm (it is not possible to construct such a disc that gives exactly 45 rpm), but 45.112 rpm (133 segments) is closer than 44.78 rpm (134 segments). The records are mastered at 45 rpm exactly. It is posible to construct a 45 rpm exactly strobe disc for a 60 Hz mains supply (166 segments). 20.133.0.13 15:31, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a very nice map, however I am not sure about the date (1921), as the map shows the Irish Free State (founded December 1922) and Turkey as it was after the Treaty of Lausanne (July 1923) and before annexation of Iskenderun in 1939, so the earliest year of publication would be late 1923 or 1924. Pe grupul traducătorilor români de open source a apărut un thread în care sunt menționate anumite probleme cu ce scrie în pagina respectivă. Ți-am scris tie pentru că tu ești cel care a încărcat imaginea aia cu layoutul de tastatură. Imaginile considerate corecte de cei de acolo sunt la http://i18n.ro/Tastaturi . Dacă ai timp, poate poți să-ți dai cu părerea/corectezi. Mersi.

Întrebäri tehnice[edit]

Bunä ziua,

am observat cä ati reusit sä corectati documente (härti) din Commons, pe care nu Dv. le introduseseti. Mie nu-mi merge : eu nu pot corecta decât cele introduse de mine. Daca încerc sa corectez altceva, când vreau sä introduc noua versiune cu acelasi nume, sistemul desigur îmi spune cä existä deja o imagine cu acel nume, dar îmi refuzä noua versiune. Pur si simplu nu se înregistreazäa si nu apare.

Si mai am o dificultate. Nu pot înregistra în Commons decât cu licenta "own", care de altfel este preselectionatä în formularul de introducere. Cand scanez pagini (în general härti) din lucräri anterioare anului 1940, îmi este imposibil sä le inregistrez cu licenta "old", pe care nu o pot selecta, fiindcä este dezactivatä (apare în gri, uneori nici nu figureazä în lista licentelor).

Nu stiu dacä cele douä fenomene sunt legate, dar îmi limiteazä posibilitätile de a contribui la Commons.

O ultimä întrebare: dacä sunteti cumva administrator pe Commons, îmi puteti oare redenumi contul, asa cum am procedat pe Wikipadia ordinar, atât în românä cât si în francezä, din "Spiridon MANOLIU" în "Spiridon Ion Cepleanu"?

Images and graphics per PD-RO-1956[edit]

Salut Alex! Martin H. asked me to direct this question to you. I am wondering if Template:PD-RO-1956 applies to images and graphics from a Romanian book from 1929 as is Getica by Vasile Pârvan, made available by the Romanian government here: [1]. I hope this license or others apply to this content, as some of the archaeological artifacts depicted were destroyed during World War 2, are lost or maybe in some obscure museums or private collections, making it impossible to create newer photographs. I assume you speak Romanian. The law says 50 years after author's death, except: "a) pe termen de 20 ani de la aparitia operei cu privire la cei care alcatuiesc enciclopedii, dictionare si culegeri; b) pe termen de 10 ani de la aparitie cu privire la autorul unei serii de fotografii artistice; c) pe termen de 5 ani de la aparitie cu privire la autorul de fotografii artistice separate. " So Corpore is culegeri. The book is not a culegere. The name of Pecurariu is given in the introduction. There are some photos at the end, and each has its author written below. Also, this specific book is obviously collecting a lot of information from everywhere, so the term "culegere", at least to me, makes sense to apply. Regarding the "fotografii de documentare", what law governs them? Also, I am not sure if the term "fotografii artistice" in 1956 meant what we mean today as "art in photography". I get the feeling they were simply referring to "photographs". Sorry that I have to bug you and insist, but I really want to clarify these things because as I said before, some of the archaeological artifacts depicted were destroyed during World War 2, are lost or maybe in some obscure museums or private collections, making it impossible to create newer photographs. Eu am facut traducerea din romana in engleza, si deci culegeri=corpore. Fotografia artistica se practica si in anii 50, deci e clar ca se refera la fotografii de arta, de genul celor care apareau prin expozitii sau pe vederi de exemplu. Se afla la Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, care par ca si-au pus copyright pe ea, desi mi se pare cam aberant. Au copyright pe versiunea digitala a cartii medievale? Cu privire la imaginile care sigur ar fi in domeniul public pentru ca sunt de sute de ani, ele pot fi aduse aici, cu conditia ca imaginea digitala sa fie copie identica sau la scara a originalului, si nu o "opera derivata" cum spune legea noastra, care ar putea insemna imagine restaurata/colorizata etc. Pentru imaginile din secolul XX ar fi bine de stiut autorul si daca acesta a murit inainte de 1941. --Alex:D (talk) 12:58, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Drapele de lupta[edit]

Servus!

La un moment dat ne-am mai conversat pe tema drapelelor de lupta al unitatilor/institutiilor militare/militarizate din Romania (atunci era vorba de un drapel al Jandarmeriei). Aveam atunci banuiala ca ar fi si alte modele de drapele de lupta, altele decat ale SMG, FT, FN, FA si JR. Dar banuiala asta nu este un motiv bun de lucru. Acum am vazut un drapel de lupta al SRI. Apare pe galeria foto a Romania Actualitati (a noua poza. "Extrapoland", din nou 'presupun ca mai sunt urmatoarele steaguri/drapele de lupta: Politie, Politie de Fronitiera, Pompieri, SPP, si chiar SIE. Dar despre astea nu am decat vagi idei, iar despre ultimele doua chiar FOARTE vagi. Iti scriu tie pentru ca tot tu ai facut celelalte 5 drapele de lupta (SMG, FT, FN, FA si JR) si, pe langa faptul ca eu n-am nici ce mai vaga idee despre crearea unor imagini ca ale steagurilor noastre de lupta, presupun ca e mai usor sa se modifice un model deja existent. :) --ES Vic (talk) 10:15, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Posada - Medieval book editions[edit]

Hi! I tried to add more information to File:Viennese Illuminated Chronicle Posada.jpg and its related versions File:Chronicon Pictum P0146 A posadai csata2.JPG and File:Chronicon Pictum P0143 A posadai csata1.JPG. The drawings are similar, but with distinct elements. They appear to be from different medieval books editions. Do you know which ones and where are they at this time (museums etc?). Stemele Țării Românești[edit]

Salut! Am vazut ca ai contribuit multe din stemele Țării Românești la Category:Coats of arms of Wallachia. Articolul ro:Stema Țării Românești include o mica parte din ele, chiar si unele care nu apar in categoria de pe Commons. Fiind foarte multe steme si foarte diferite, eram curios daca ai vrea sa clarifici fie pe Commons (in descrierea imaginilor) fie la ro:Stema Țării Românești care au fost folosite de cine si cand. Romanian stop signs[edit]

THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME THING!!!! If you took half a moment to pay attention, you would see that I changed nothing other than adding a black layer under the sign so that the white edge of the sign is visible.
