Your photo in Long exposure chalenge[edit]
Hello,
I understand that you are speaking Italian, I don't, If you prefer I can speak French.
I don't want to discourage you and you have uploaded nice photo but I don't think the File:A bee on Euryops blossom.JPG is a long exposure photo, the Exif indicate 1/500s, en:Long-exposure photography are several seconds and with moving objects.
According to the data on this picture, you use a FUJIFILM FinePix Z30, you should be able to do some long exposure with it.
You need a tripod or a way to hold your camera still for several second, according to the manual I found on internet, you have a night tripod mode that should do the tric
Chose a time when the light is low, like night or twilight, and a place where something is moving, like a river flowing or cars on a busy road.

I see a lot of pictures you upload are from Central Italy. I organize with many WMI people events in Tuscany, would you like to be informed? Maybe you live in the area. I am thinking to the one where we collect pictures.

Dopo mesi di lavoro Wiki Loves Monuments sta è iniziato alcune ore fa anche in Toscana. Il caricamento è aperto fino al 30 di settembre. Qui potete valutare quanto è stato liberato finora. Fra i nuovi beni già trascritti abbiamo proprietà da Aulla, Comano, Lucca, Careggine, Coreglia Antelminelli, San Miniato, Calcinaia, Cascina, Pontedera, Ponsacco, Capannoli, Pomarance, Prato, Carmignano, Poggio a Caiano, Cantagallo, Vernio, Sesto Fiorentino, Scarperia e San Piero, Rignano sull'Arno, San Godenzo, Barberino Tavernelle, Dicomano, Fucecchio, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Santa Fiora, Castell'Azzarra e nuove adesioni da Pescia e Piombino. Nuove liberatorie (probabilmente Massa, Carrara, Palaia, Vaiano, Scandicci, Palazzuolo sul Senio, Castel Focognano e Bucine) continueranno a arrivare nei prossimi giorni quindi ricontrolla sempre gli elenchi a cadenza regolare. Wiki Loves Monuments riparte con un edizione dedicata in Puglia[edit]

Il 1º settembre è partito Wiki Loves Monuments 2019, il concorso fotografico che invita tutti, anche te, a prendere la macchina fotografica e scattare foto ai monumenti "liberati", ovvero i monumenti per i quali abbiamo ricevuto un'autorizzazione dai proprietari, così che tu possa caricare fotto sotto la CC-BY-SA senza incorrere in problemi legali. Da quest'anno arriva anche in Puglia con un'edizione dedicata e dei premi speciali. Trovi la lista dei monumenti qui e le istruzioni per partecipare sul sito ufficiale. Quest'anno i premi dedicati solo alla Puglia sono 150 euro in gift cards, 70 euro al primo classificato, 50 al secondo e 30 al terzo, il quarto riceverà una maglietta del concorso. You are right. User:DEspel did not cast his vote correctly and it was not counted in the final tally done by Commons:Photo challenge/code/voting.cs. Continua la preparazione di Wiki Loves Monuments per il 2020. Manca una settimana alla partenza e per chi fosse già in giro ricordiamo le nuove località aderenti, già riportate nelle nostre liste in costante aggiornamento. Nel 2020 hanno completato l'iter di ampliamento le amministrazioni di Cascina, Pomarance, Pescia, Empoli, San Quirico d'Orcia, Chiusi, Santa Fiora e Piombino, mentre hanno aderito per la prima volta a tempo indefinito il Museo delle Aviotruppe di Pisa e i comuni di Pescaglia, Gallicano, Camaiore, Santa Croce sull'Arno, Casale Marittimo, Quarrata, Montelupo Fiorentino, Buonconvento, Pratovecchio Stia, Sansepolcro, Castiglion Fiorentino, Anghiari, Badia Tedalda e Campiglia Marittima. Ci sono anche adesioni solo per il 2020 di alcune dimore storiche attorno a Pisa. Risultano al momento richieste formali o informali di partecipazione o ampliamento della copertura da un'altra ventina di enti e amministrazioni, alcune delle quali potrebbero concretizzarsi nelle prossime due settimane. Fate attenzione che alcune delle adesioni solo per l'edizione 2019 nel nord della provincia di Prato e del comune di Massa non saranno probabilmente confermate, ma non sono ancora state rimosse dalle liste. Qui il video promozionale del 2019 e qui quello della nuova edizione. Il prossimo aggiornamento riporterà i volantini in più lingue e gli ultimi sviluppi sulle adesioni. Ciao, ho visto che hai partecipato alla scorsa edizione di Wiki Loves Puglia o hai partecipato a Wiki Loves Monuments con foto sulla Puglia nel 2016, 2017 o 2018, ma quest'anno non hai ancora caricato delle fotografie! Partecipare è molto semplice, il metodo è sempre lo stesso: basta visitare la lista dei monumenti sull'apposita pagina di Wikipedia, scegliere la provincia e il monumento di cui vuoi caricare una fotografia e seguire la procedura guidata su Commons. Sono in palio tre premi di 45, 85 e 125 euro e hai l'opportunità di arricchire Wikipedia e gli altri progetti Wikimedia con le tue fotografie. Cosa aspetti? Il numero di monumenti fotografabili è considerevolmente aumentato in questi anni e dunque puoi anche scavare nel tuo archivio per cercare le fotografie con cui partecipare! Gazie alla preparazione e al vostro impegno, WLM è un successo in regione anche per questa edizione. Siamo stabilmente primi per caricamenti a livello nazionale: qui potete vedere alcune statistiche. Al momento risultano più reattive le province di Livorno, Siena, Pisa, Prato e Firenze. Fra i nuovi beni aderenti confermati, e inseriti nelle liste, segnaliamo i comuni di Castel del Piano, Montignoso e la Domus Mazziniana di Pisa. Ci sono nuovi beni anche dal comune di Santa Fiora. Sono comunque in corso le verifiche sulla proprietà di alcuni edifici religiosi. C'è invece un aggiornamento nella lista di San Vincenzo, che aveva autorizzato annualmente nel 2019 e ha ridotto i beni aderenti. Per quanto riguarda le foto panoramiche, vengono smistate direttamente nelle categorie dei comuni e richiedono maggiore manutenzione, quindi vi preghiamo se possibile la cortesia di posticipare il loro caricamento a fine mese quando avremo più tempo di occuparcene. La campagna sociale in concerto su tutti e tre i canali (per Facebook la pagina Wiki Loves Toscana) prevede ogni quattro giorni una serie divulgativa sulle foto delle edizioni precedenti in bianco e nero (caricate progressivamente qui su Commons) alternata a una serie sulle foto migliori dell'edizione in corso. Ogni giorno nel tardo pomeriggio o prima serata solo su Twitter e Facebook (gruppo ToscanaWiki) viene inoltre postata una foto fra quelle giunte predligendo varibailità di luogo e tema. Da domani sarà possibile caricare di nuovo le foto, fino al 30 settembre!
Come ogni anno, e questo è il decimo anniversario, torna Wiki Loves Monuments, il concorso fotografico più grande al mondo che negli anni ha coinvolto quasi 50 nazioni e più di 15.000 persone e hanno prodotto un database di oltre 360.000 immagini di monumenti, patrimonio culturale dell’umanità intera a disposizione di tutti su Wikimedia Commons.
Con la tua partecipazione hai sostenuto lo sviluppo turistico del nostro Paese perché rende disponibili a tutti le sue bellezze. L’obiettivo è la valorizzazione dell’immenso patrimonio culturale italiano sul web. Le fotografie dei monumenti vengono condivise su Wikimedia Commons, il grande database di immagini di Wikipedia, con licenza libera CC-BY-SA. Wiki Loves Monuments contribuisce infatti a diffondere la filosofia di Wikimedia Italia e di tutti i progetti wiki, che si basano sulla libera condivisione della cultura.
L’Italia nelle sue prime 9 edizioni (dal 2012 al 2020) conta 145.000 immagini 15.000 monumenti, 2.000 fotografi, 2.000 enti. Uno dei 2.000 fotografi sei tu e quindi anche quest’anno non puoi mancare, partecipa!!!

Non caricare le chiese di San Casciano dei Bagni[edit]
Ciao, sto rifacendo la lberatoria, è una di quelle processate da WMI che non controlla le proprietà, dovrò rimuovere quei beni, sono già in contatto con il comune (che ha confermato che non sono di sua proprietà) per rifarla da capo ma mi sono arrivati tre comuni il 30 agosto e non ho avuto tempo di rimuovere quelle chiese dalla lista.
Lo so è fastidioso, continuiamo a dire a WMI di non inviare mail ai comuni o comunque di informarci almeno se arrivano liberatorie, ma non lo fa, e io faccio il possibile per correggere le liste ex post.
Quindi se hai foto di San Casciando dei Bagni aspetta fine mese soì è sicuro che abbiamo la liberatoria finale del comune (se son di parola).--Alexmar983 (talk) 23:42, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Siamo stabilmente secondi per caricamenti a livello nazionale: qui e qui si possono consultare alcune statistiche. Al momento risultano meno reattive le province di Prato e di Grosseto. Fra i nuovi beni inseriti nelle liste segnaliamo da parte dei comuni sempre più ampliamenti rispetto alle nuove adesioni, mentre continuano ad aggiungersi sempre più beni privati. Tutte le liberatorie annunciate da quest'anno anche su Instagram sono da ritenersi verificate. Potrebbero arrivare comuni a fine mese al momento ancora in via di approvazione. Per quanto riguarda le foto panoramiche, vengono inviate direttamente nelle categorie dei comuni e richiedono spesso la creazione di varie sottocategorie; per questo motivo vi preghiamo di non inviare troppe foto simili, dovendole in seguito smistare a mano. La campagna sui tre canali sociali (per Facebook sia pagina che gruppo) prevede come nel 2020 una serie divulgativa con le foto delle edizioni precedenti in bianco e nero (caricate qui su Commons) alternata a una serie sulle foto migliori dell'edizione 2021, inframmezzate con più infografiche generali. Ogni giorno solo su Twitter e Facebook (gruppo ToscanaWiki) viene inoltre postata una foto fra quelle giunte prediligendo variabilità di luogo e tema. Qui i volantini in più lingue.

Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started[edit]
Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017 and Wiki Science Competition 2019, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started in the whole world. It is now completed in Russia (active in May), but it's still open in almost all the other countries.
If you want to take part in WSC2021, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.
If you are an expert user, we remind you that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.
Please keep in mind that there is a new category this year, that is "astronomy".
If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase, please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2020.

Quest'anno non abbiamo segnalato in corso d'opera perché abbiamo avuto delle metriche di adesione molto più alte rispetto agli ultimi anni, quindi incentivare il caricamento sarebbe stato controproducente per i partecipanti più occasionali. Probabilmente il prossimo anno ci sarà un calo fisiologico, e conviene pertanto preparare i vostri scatti per il 2023. Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.
The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. Oltre ai 20.000 monumenti già in concorso, quest’anno si aggiungono più di 60.000 edifici religiosi, tema centrale di quest’edizione. Prendi la tua macchina fotografica, o il tuo smartphone, e individua i monumenti in concorso tramite la nuova web-app – disponibile sia da mobile che desktop – app.wikilovesmonuments.it, da cui potrai anche caricare direttamente i tuoi scatti. Sono ammesse anche foto scattate prima del concorso, purché siano inedite.
A livello nazionale verranno premiate le dieci migliori fotografie: cinque per gli edifici religiosi e cinque per le altre categorie di monumenti; queste immagini parteciperanno anche alla fase internazionale del concorso. Non sono ammesse immagini con watermark o cornici, né fotografie eccessivamente elaborate in postproduzione. Ritorna anche quest'anno, per la quinta edizione, il concorso regionale di Wiki Loves Monuments dedicato alla Puglia: Wiki Loves Puglia. A partire da quest'anno partecipano anche tutte le chiese e gli edifici religiosi; c'è anche un'altra novità: le fotografie verranno caricate su Wikimedia Commons attraverso la nuova app del concorso. Vorrei invitarti a partecipare anche quest'anno con le tue fotografie della regione entro il 30 settembre! Lo scorso anno non avevamo segnalato l'inizio del concorso perché abbiamo avuto delle metriche di adesione più alte rispetto agli ultimi anni, quindi incentivare il caricamento sarebbe stato controproducente per i partecipanti più occasionali. Anche quest'anno l'adesione è stata alta (anzi nettamente più alta), probabilmente perché c'erano molte foto di chiese (la novità di quest'anno) negli archivi dei partecipanti storici e per questo non è stato inviato un messaggio durante settembre, mantenendo la strategia di massimizzare la promozione durante gli anni di minore partecipazione.
