Autotranslate[edit]

Hi,

I am not sure what you meant by this : both should be equivalent.

As for this one: both are strictly equivalent − templates are not case sensitive for the first letter.

Cheers, Jean-Fred (talk) 14:10, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No problem − and no inconvenience caused, don’t worry :-) Keep up the good work and see you around! Jean-Fred (talk) 22:01, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I like your pictures (good work, by the way!); I noticed the banner and I decided to add the Italian translation. Hope it's ok for you.
Ask me if something's wrong or rollback if you don't like it at all! :-) — TintoMeches, 15:26, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for your message. This is ok for me. Have a good day. CaptainHaddock (talk) 15:33, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrol given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 21:44, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

This diff is totally OK for me (and the description page is a wiki page, so do not hesitate to improve it).

Have a nice day. --PierreSelim (talk) 11:39, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your answer Pierre. Again, congrats for your picture, good job! See you, — TintoMeches, 11:45, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi there
You have closed my Valued image nomination but I have not received the template on my talk page. Please see to it. Thank you. Herald talk with me 14:47, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for writing me. Actually I closed a FP nomination, not a Valued one (it's different), but anyway I just confirmed the result; FPCBot is responsible for notifying the nominator, and so it did (check). I don't see any problem, but please let me know if I miss something. — TintoMeches, 21:01, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I referred Valued image nomination. Sorry… Herald talk with me 11:01, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Valid SVG-tagging tripping licenses[edit]

There seems to be a problem in your script for adding "valid svg"-tags/fixing file descriptions in that it sometimes strips the license. See [1]. /Lokal_Profil 17:20, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, I don't use scripts: it was my own mistake. I've just checked all of my previous similar edits and I've found no other error (luckily).
Sorry about that, I'll pay more attention. Thanks for your help, — TintoMeches, 19:08, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for catching my error on File:Picture icon (the Noun Project 18185).svg. It was the one file I mistakenly ticked in VFC out of 175. I was surprised to see that VFC did the custom replace with a full passed review template. I had only entered {{License review}} for replacement with the JP Gov cat... Now I know another little detail about how custom replace works in VFC. INeverCry 17:16, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments ti aspetta, con centinaia di nuovi comuni fotografabili[edit]

Concorso Wiki Loves Monuments Italia 2018 (English version)

Grazie, Nemo 16:10, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia "W"[edit]

Hey, I recently noticed that the Wikipedia "W" icon (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia%27s_W.svg) does not match the "W" used in the WikipediA wordmark (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia_wordmark.svg). Interestingly it looks like prior to 9 November 2007 the "W" icon did match, but then it got updated to the Hoefler "W". I imagine you are already aware of this, and that it was intentional. I am trying to understand the history behind this. It seems like it would make sense for the "W" icon to match the "W" in WikipediA, but I want to understand the history before making a suggestion. Thanks for any information you can provide! AHollender (WMF) (talk) 16:40, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@AHollender (WMF), thanks for your message as I was not aware of the difference. Apparenty, on Nov 9, 2007 Down10 cleaned up the code but, in so doing, he distorted the picture and in 2016 I made it a valid SVG manually without realizing it was no longer the original one. I guess the best thing to do is to revert it to version as of June 27, 2007 and then try ot improve the code again. — TintoMeches, 15:43, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
