Doesn't work in Opera / Mac

It doesn't work in Opera 10.63, which is the latest version available for Mac OS X 10.5.8, which is the latest version available for this Powerbook G4. Please don't tell me to get a new computer...

Interne fout: het token klopt niet.

Dutch: Eerst lukte zowel het uploaden als het vrijgeven, maar duurde het toevoegen van de beschrijvingen erg lang, zij het lang niet zo lang als het beschrijven mij kostte. Na afbreken heb ik het opnieuw geprobeerd, maar nu krijg ik "Interne fout: het token klopt niet." bij het uploaden, ook na uit- en inloggen. Ook "terugkoppeling geven" duurt erg lang, dit keer ook flink langer dan de terugkoppeling mij kostte. My browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, ik weet de versie niet.

English: At the first attempt I could upload and license, but adding descriptions took a long time; adding those descriptions took me far more time, though. After cancelling I tried again, but I get "Internal error: the token doesn't match" (or something like that, I re-translated the Dutch translation") during the upload, also after logging out and in. It also takes a long time to "give feedback" (another retranslation), far more than the time to enter it. Dutch: Het werkt wel met Google Chrome, maar dat ook komen omdat nu veel sneller de beschrijving kon geven.

File extensions

When I get the image files from my camera, I usually don't rename them from the IMG_xxxx.JPG filename pattern it uses. The wizard of course asked me to change the name when uploading, but it does not change the .JPG to lower-case, nor does it allow me do do so manually. It should at least be possible to change this without renaming the file locally, and I can actually see no reason why it couldn't even happen automatically. dapete 06:45, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

Upload and PC crashes

Normally when my PC crashes whilst I'm editing and I restore Firefox it gets me back to where I was. But when it crashes during a batch image upload it takes me back to the beginning of the upload process. Is there any way to make this a bit more robust? Prohibited characters not checked properly in Upload Wizard

I've just spent many minutes tweaking the descriptions and categories of images being uploaded through the Upload Wizard, only to loose the whole work thereafter because of the presence of slashes in the designated file names. The Upload Wizard should check whether user-designated file names are appropriate before publishing the images. Otherwise a "badfilename" unknown error will be reported and other than retrying the upload (which will necessarily fail for the same reason), the user is given no possibility whatsoever to get back to his form data in order to either fix it or at least get a back up (the "back" button of the browser does not work here either and the only other possibility is "proceed anyway" which does not help to recover the lost data either). Cannot insert location coordinates

Hi. When I try to insert coordinates in the usual format (latitude : 45°59'33.86", longitude : 7°10'19.84") it says the coordinates must range between +90 / -90 and +180 / -180 respectively.

That means it doesn't expect "the usual format" (degrees, minutes, seconds) but rather the other ususual format (decimal). http://toolserver.org/~geohack/ can help you convert. A clever wizard might detect the format used, let you specify which format you prefer, or at the very least tell you more clearly what he expects. —LX (talk, contribs) 16:52, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Photographs as PD-Old

Ludo29 pointed that not only paintings, but also old photographs may be uploaded as {{PD-Old}} (for example File:Lancement de la frégate Thémis.jpg, which is not covered by the Wizard at this moment.

He suggested to update the message “Faithful reproduction of a painting that is in the public domain” to “Faithful reproduction of a painting or photograph that is in the public domain”.

Inconsistent uploading of images

I haven't been impressed with the upload feature on Wikimedia Commons. A substantial percentage of my images do not complete the uploading and can't be used. Then, when I start the process over again on Wikimedia or Wikipedia, I get the message that my image already exists. I don't plan on using Wikimedia again. ACP2011 (talk) 13:32, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

It could be that the error message appears whenever someone uploads a picture with a number title in the computer and adapt the title afterwards. But it seems that the upload in that case is normally done. Check after the error message "My contributions" or "My watchlist". --Havang(nl) (talk) 13:48, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

I've noticed with larger files, sometimes the UploadWizard will report an uploading error even if the upload was successful. You might want to double-check My Uploads before you restart the process. Kaldari (talk) 22:40, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Automated adding of category

So I made a minor improvement on a diagram I found there. But trying to upload my version, I'm stuck at the red message "A file with this name exists already." Of course it does! Just let me add one letter "x"!

File extensions

Hi, this upload form is great.

I have just two notices. When I'm uploading multiple files and their extension vary just like "jpg" and "JPG", then always a problem occurs with some files. I need to care that these extensions in one bulk upload are synchronized, so either all in capital or all in normal letters. Sometimes I forget because various photo editing software and various cameras are causing different appearance of extensions of the same format on this way.

And I'd also appreciate if Upload Wizard would not hide the form for adding categories. As it's available only after expanding, it's causing forgetting of adding cats. :) Jednorožec (talk) 11:16, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
