Image deletion warning Image:Scooby-Doo Balloon.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Hello, Ryulong. Recently you notified me that I made a copyright violation of file:Wikipedia 12.jpg and File:Special Newpages.jpg. Both of them are my works.

  • I used 'PrtScnSysRq' button on the top right corner of a Microsoft keyboard. It captured the screenshot of Special:Newpages. Then I pasted the screenshot on to MS Paint, then saved it to .jpeg format. Then I uploaded the file. What's wrong in this???
  • For File:Wikipedia 12.jpg, I created the image using Magic Photo Editor, a nice photo editing software.I placed many cartoons, and clip art. Thus, it's my OWN Work. How could you call this a copyright violation.I'm surprised in this.Reply soon.Dipankan001 (talk) 16:14, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The clip art was the issue. Because you did not create the clip art (presumably the creators of Magic Photo Editor do), you do not own anything about the image and that is why it was a copyright violation.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 10:58, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
File:Special Newpages.jpg was deleted as being a derivative work of Windows GUI elements. Actually the Wikipedia logo is unfree too. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:24, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
All I remember was bad clipart everywhere.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 11:25, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Removing files[edit]

Hello. As I noticed in el.wp, you have removed from articles files that you believe that are copyright violating. As a matter of fact, you may be right for some of them, but not for all of them. Some are user's own works, some others, as "File:Thessaloniki Alexander the Great statue.png" come from flickr and have been verified about their license. Thank you. --Ttzavaras (talk) 14:16, 26 October 2013 (UTC) (sorry, I'd been disconnected without noticing it).[reply]

Anything that Nikostrd posted needs to be deleted. That's all I was working on.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 14:34, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
You are absolutely right about the files he has uploaded. What I am suggesting is not to remove pictures the specific user has added in articles but have not been uploaded by him. Thanks. --Ttzavaras (talk) 17:13, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I may have removed more than was necessary and I apologize. I was only going off of what had "File:" instead of the Greek language form.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:48, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
No problem. In any case thanks for your contribution in removing files violating copyright. Any minor "damage" has already been repaired! Thanks again. --Ttzavaras (talk) 10:16, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Ryulong: I thought you might like to see the magnitude of the problem of a particular Sock about whom you have previously commented. I am about to update the chart with several more found this morning. Ellin Beltz (talk) 17:17, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Ellin Beltz: Why is it deleted already?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 12:36, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because another user made a big fuss about it and it seemed easier to remove it from Commons than to continue any problems. Ellin Beltz (talk) 19:00, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Ellin Beltz: That other user just seems to want to keep the drama of banned users off of the Commons.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 14:24, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
When they themselves linked to my internal user page and demanded I remove it, I think they were making more drama than I had made by making the list in the first place. List is on my home computer as they suggested, it shows over 3 years of disruption to the project and an accelerating rate of uploads. Both of those factoids were of interest as were the dozens of names involved in all this. That other user apparently has jealousy issues with me, hence their comments about (paraphrase) "more uploads and longer time here". Also they've made public comments questioning my ability to be an admin after I asked Jim a question and we had a nice healthy debate about the fine points on his talk page. If I'm not allowed to ask questions, and now not allowed to put things on my own user space to work on, I kinda wonder who appointed anyone "boss" of the rest of us? It's beginning to look like harassment, bullying or something equally unpleasant. Ellin Beltz (talk) 16:45, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I found two more on en:wiki[1] & [2] plust one more on Commons [3] uploader of File:25_tolowadunes.jpg and File:Davenportcalifornia.jpg. Plus the 59 en:wiki and/or commons accounts I found before this takes it up to 62. I suspect we're still missing a few and of course the activity is ongoing. If you would like a copy of the chart please let me know how to provide it to you. Warning, do not revert war[edit]

See Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems#Ryulong's blind reverts (permanent link to current version). I would have used the notice of the AN/U filing to cover the above link, but you reverted it without comment.[4] Obviously, you have the right to do that. However, superior: Thank the user for the notice. I know that runs against your massive Wikipedia experience (which is truly awesome), but ... there is a much better way. w:WP:AGF was deprecated on en.wiki, because Wikipedia gave up in despair, most users never understood what AGF really meant. Not surprising. Most human beings don't understand. Good luck, and my condolences for your en.wiki ban. If I can be of any assistance, let me know. Sometimes I can pull a rabbit out of a hat and agreement out of a battle. Maybe the users only agree to get me to shut up. Hey, whatever it takes. --Abd (talk) 21:34, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nanshu's level of disruption is more important to deal with TBH.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:53, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
Also my caps lock messages is meant to show confusion as to how Nanshu is capable of saying "This is fake" while also at the same time giving sources that show something exists.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:53, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
The caps lock is intended to show emotion. It worked.
RYULONG! YOU ARE NOT GETTING IT!
How was that? Does it improve communication?
If Nanshu continues what he was doing, he won't last long, I predict. But let's assume he won't.
This is what you are missing: you were warned for your behavior. You will not be harmed by his behavior, and neither will his misbehavior protect you from the consequences of your own.
You are a valuable user. I warn you so we won't lose you, as en.wiki lost you. You are more important to the projects than Nanshu, if we have to make a choice. I'd rather not. Your user name was familiar to me, and the associations were positive.
Your response to this situation is tarnishing that. Learn when to shut up, learn when to say, "Sorry, I won't do that again." It's a valuable skill.
Your responses lead me to think that you are likely to do it again. All it will take is something so "important" that you start revert warring instead of doing what you promised to do on en.wiki. Or did you promise? I looked more carefully at your enwiki user talk page. Very interesting. [5]. Unblocking you, CBW's reason was (User will report stuff rather than edit war) I assumed you had promised that. I was wrong. This is what you had actually written:
I promise I will try to be more diligent in reporting this stuff more widely next time.
It's obvious to me that CBW was looking for an excuse to unblock you. That comment did not even promise to "more widely" report. Hey, I promised to "try to be more diligent." I tried! I didn't promise to reduce edit warring! Where did I say that? I tried, but my internet connection was bad. I was using a phone. And besides, don't you get it? This was a Really Bad User! And nobody responded for hours to my request!
Ryulong, here you made no request at all. You just insulted the user and reverted. You did not seek a reasonable compromise, which was possible. You essentially set it up for the user to go to AN/U.
As was pointed out on your enwiki talk page, you are trivial to troll. If uou are poked, you have a predictable response. If that doesn't change, your wiki history will continue to go downhill.
You have no obligation respond to this. You may archive your talk page at any time. You may remove this, of course, but I very much do not recommend that. One of the things I can read in your enwiki history was you were facing a likely ban and you were still uncivil on your talk page, with no necessity at all. I'm not claiming that this caused the ban, I have not researched your ban. Those things take a lot of time, and it's not that relevant here. You know the history.
What I'm telling you is that you are repeating at least some of the behavior that got you banned on en.wiki. With your contribution history there, that took a lot. It is easier to be blocked here, in fact, though it's not reliable, it's quirky.
There are possible positive responses and a harmless one: you can say, "Wow, yes, thanks for reminding me," or something like that. I've done that when blocked for incivility. It doesn't matter if I was right or wrong, a response like that engages the community and builds support. The harmless response is to do nothing. Let it sit, let it go into a talk page archive. And then there are responses that show a continuing problem. Your choice. I'm not your judge, I'm not an admin, at least not now, and I'm not likely to take you to a noticeboard, I prefer to sit a user down for a little chat. With respect. Unless absolutely pushed into a corner, where others are being harmed.
Good luck. --Abd (talk) 02:08, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What happened at enwp is of no real importance here as that was all political tbh.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:47, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
