Hi, images from Flickr user Amir Farshad Ebrahimi are considered unfree, he copies the images from AFP, REUTERS, GETTY and other webistes and mark them cc-by-sa, this is invalid because he is not the author. Please ciritically evaluate Flickr images, often the Flickr uploaders have no sense for copyrights. --Martin H. (talk) 17:41, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes, in this case ([1]) im absolutely sure, it is a very easy case you can identify the image by typing the image caption to google and you will find the source. But you are right, in many cases it is hard to identify this, but there are some hints:

• A look on the other contributions of the uploader is always a good idea, variations in style, professional images but missing metadata, various styles, images with metadata but many different cameras are indications for wrong cc-licensing
• For famous persons or subjects the gettyimages website worth a visit
• Google imagesearch can find images with a similar description
• TinEye can find images by comparing images fingerprints

Of course you cannot do all this stuff every time, taking a look on the other contributions of the Flickruser might be ok. Btw: I saw your question on the images talkpage, except the copyright problem which are not your fault everything was ok with your upload. --Martin H. (talk) 18:39, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
