The license of that website is Creative Commons Reconocimiento-NoComercial-SinObraDerivada 3.0 España which is not a free license because it disallows commercial reuse and modification. Wikimedia Commons can only host free content. Restrictions on where or how a file can be used are not acceptable here. Hallo Martin H.,

du hattest vor ein paar Jahren zwei Fotos von diesem Fotografen hochgeladen und die Category:Alfred Krauth sowie die Creator-Vorlage angelegt. Als Todesjahr gabst du 1939 an. Jetzt gibt es den Artikel de:Alfred Krauth mit Todesjahr 1956, das auf der angegebenen Literatur von 2005 beruht. Die Landesbibliographie Baden-Württemberg sowie darauf basierend die Dt. Nationalbibliothek und VIAF übernehmen dieses Todesjahr. Wie kamst du auf 1939? Ich konnte keine entsprechende Angabe finden, bei der Bayer. Staatsbibliothek habe ich die Bilder gefunden, aber da steht nur der Name des Fotografen ohne Lebensdaten. Liegt ein Versehen vor? Gruß --Rosenzweig τ 22:46, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Danke für den Hinweis. Ich habe die Creator-Vorlage mit Angabe des PND-Link erstellt, deshalb gehe ich davon aus dass die Information von dort stammt und der Datensatz mittlweile eine Korrektur erfahren hat. Wenn ich Creator angelegt habe, die keinen Wikipediaartikel haben, und ich andere Quellen für Lebensdaten als PND habe, schreibe ich die normalerweise in die Zusammenfassung (z.B. Creator:Franz Langhammer) oder ins Referenzfeld (z.B. Creator:Catharina Escherich). Ich mache nicht so viel im Creator-Namensraum, daher sind die Beispiele aus der Zeit in der ich Alfred Krauth angelegt habe.

Thank you for your message, Martin. This is a question I've had for awhile: when I take a photo of a piece of art, do I own the rights to the photograph and/or can I use it on Wikipedia without worry of copyright infringement?

In the U.S. case law denies copyright for faithful reproductions of 2D artworks created by photography or similar processes, see COM:ART. In case there is a copyright on the photo You do own the copyright on the photograph, but the photograph is a derivative work of the painting. Pictures deleted[edit]

I have seen you have deleted ALL the pictures. I must think now that I have to re upload those that you mentioned (cat, ribbons?). Those with the AEAColl in their back were also mine. I can reupload them then?

Morover, I would like you to tell me about the Coats of Arms? I am the Representant of the Bourbons of Bhopal in Andorra and I was asked to create the coat of arms. It is my own work. Give me an email and I will show you evidence of that. Same with the Andorran arms.

You erased all the ribbon pictures, even if you said I could keep them as own work, because they ARE! Now I have to go page per page replacing the ribbons!!

The deletion discussion is the perfect place. It is open for comments in any language. Im not able to explain copyrights to a spanish user, particularily here where the user already got a wrong understanding of licensing. Simple. For self created photos upload the original files. Using flickr for licensing instead of uploading to Commons direclty is worst practice but ok, its an acceptable method. The question here is if the flickr account is a fake account or a photographers account, finding copies of facebook images on flickr doesnt make it look like a photographers account.

For not self-created photos provide written permission to COM:OTRS. Uploading not self-created files to flickr first is not helpful here, it will never make things easier and it is not a way to bypass our processes.

My images[edit]

Regarding File:MAB with Nehru.jpg, the picture was taken in 1954 when Bangladesh was part of Pakistan. Under Pakistani copyright laws, the image is in the public domain because it was published before 1962. It has been 61 years, so it should also be in the public domain in Bangladesh. The persons in the picture are also deceased. So it can kept right?

And regarding the dozen or more archaeological images I've uploaded, they are from Banglapedia, which is a public domain internet space of the Government of Bangladesh. FoP applies here. Banglapedia is not public domain. The page is copyrighted and gives a clear copyright statement http://www.banglapedia.org/english/copyright.html. The photos are not free to reuse, you need written permission.

You confuse FoP with a free license. FoP (Commons:Freedom of Panorama) is a concept that allows to reuse photos of architectural or artistic works without the written permission from the architect or for example sculptor. FoP is a limitation of the architects or artists copyright. Its not a limitation of the photographers copyright. Initially AnulBanul claimed he had "no connection whatsoever" to the Wüstenfuchs account and that it wasn't his, [2] then admitted the Wüstenfuchs account is his and that rest aren't, [3] and then when pressed further he admitted that Wüstenfuchs and K. Blocked the above listed, not yet blocked accounts. You may have a look at Momčilo_Elezović (talk · contribs) wich I identified with the Checkuser rights and think is confirmed because of intersecting edits in Wikipedia and reuploads of previously deleted copyvios by Herr Ziffer. I otherwise dont care much about the content of his editing in hr.wp, because of the language and lack of knowledge i cant judge if his edits are political extreme or vandalism. Acceder is part of GCBA[edit]

Hi, I saw you reverted my edit on this image, explaining "this is not from http://www.buenosaires.gob.ar". Well, this is incorrect because "Acceder" is the digital content website of Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires, belonging to the Buenos Aires City Government (right above the site the GCBA logo links to the main website). Therefore its contents are licenced under the {{CC-AR-GCBA}} template (as I put).

{{PD-AR-Photo}} are only for photographs published +25 years ago, and there is no proof that this photo was once published. Ich habe gestern leider irrtümlich mit dem commonist 200 Bilder vom Spiel SC Wiener Neustadt vs. SV Austria Salzburg (Category:SC Wiener Neustadt vs. SV Austria Salzburg 2015-10-02) und dabei (weil ich es schon zum nächsten Fußballtermin eilig hatte) blöderweise übersehen, dass ich die Bilder noch nicht in „SC Wiener Neustadt vs. SV Austria Salzburg 2015-10-02 (001).jpg“ bis „SC Wiener Neustadt vs. SV Austria Salzburg 2015-10-02 (200).jpg“ umbenannt habe. Daher die Frage: besteht für dich als Admin oder für mich als file mover eine Möglichkeit, diese 200 Files in einem Zug auf die neue Bezeichnung umzubenennen? Hallo Martin! Leider nein. Die Dateien tragen alle einen von mir nicht gewünschten/beabsichtigten Namen. Ich hätte sie ja selbst umbenannt, habe es aber nicht gemacht, da dann eine Weiterleitung von alten Namen zurückbleibt, da ich diese nicht unterdrücken kann. Somit müsste ich für alle einen SLA stellen. Deshalb die Frage an dich, ob es einen anderen Weg gibt oder ob du die Möglichkeit hast, dies in einem Aufwaschen zu machen. Buenas noches, acabo de ver que ha eliminado las imágenes que tenía en mi página "Veritas (historieta)" y me ha dejado un mensaje en el que ponía que si tenía alguna duda, le contactase. Aquí va mi pregunta: si necesito colocar imágenes pertenecientes a un manhwa y sólo las encuentro en línea, pero no en un buscador, ¿como podría ponerlas? ¿o eso no es posible? He intentado hacerlo mediante capturas de pantalla, pero al parecer eso no se puede porque las ha eliminado. Agradecería su información y consejo. Espero su respuesta. Un saludo.

Until this is clarified, I'll focus on the images from Tasnim photographers that still need review. I would also mention this deletion request opened by you Martin, Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by GTVM92, and closed by Christian Ferrer: the live files haven't been kept and are still tagged for deletion. I've opened perhaps 20 or so related DRs, but those can be closed as kept pretty easily. Hi, Files that you find on the internet are not considered free in terms of Commons:Licensing, see the image casebook. Also the aproval of the subject doesnt matter. You need the permission from the copyright holder - the photographer - for publication under the terms of a free content license. Without that your photo will be deleted. --Martin H. Image of New Rochelle, New York from panoramio[edit]

Last month, you deleted an image of the St. Gabriel's Church (New Rochelle, New York) claiming it was stolen from Panoramio (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/88447467). Are you aware that Panoramio is shutting down, and a bot has been moving images from that site to the commons? Westchester Country Club[edit]

I am restoring the category Westchester Country Club that you had previously deleted. The category was originally created by User:Jvolkblum who is well known as a sock puppet who frequently was known for posting copyright violating pictures. Well, I want to tell you that our governor was changed in September 2016 and Rajan is our previous governor and the current is Urjit Patel. But the thing is that there is no image of him and there has to be one for educational purposes.

But I don't know how to add OTRS code to it. Can you please upload the picture and assign the appropriate license to it? The file is ok only if published on the IMF website with the byline "These photographs are in the public domain. They are free to use for publication purposes.". Panoramio[edit]

Guten Tag, heute habe ich zufällig bemerkt, dass viele PANORAMIO-Bilder hierher von einem BOT übertragen wurden. So habe ich auch eine Kategorie nach User-IDs gefunden, indessen ist meine nicht dabei. Dich habe ich unter den Reviewern gefunden. Ich würde es begrüßen, wenn meine dortigen Bilder vor Abschaltung transferiert würden, ohne dass ich sie einzeln hochladen muss. Kann man das irgendwie anstoßen? Alle meine Bilder sind öffentlich unter CC-Lizenz, es gab auch 37 Tags, die jetzt aber nicht mehr sichtbar oder aufrufbar sind.
Wärst Du in der Lage, dies anzustoßen oder mir zu sagen, was ich tun muss, und anschließend Dein OK zu geben? Meine Panoramio-Bilder, es geht auch mit Name, bei meiner Frau Supakon Mohr weiß ich nur den Namen und nicht die Nummer
Der von mir verwendete Lizenz-Eintrag lautet: self|author=Friedrich-Karl Mohr|cc-by-sa-3.0-de, meine Frau hat kein eigenes Commons-Konto, da steht dann eben: self|author=Supakon Mohr|cc-by-sa-3.0-de.

@FkMohr: Hallo Friedrich-Karl, ich bin hier zur Zeit nicht sonderlich aktiv und mit den Uploadmöglichkeiten mit Hilfe eines Bots (z.B. User:Panoramio upload bot oder mw:Manual:Pywikibot/panoramiopicker.py) nicht vertraut, daher kann ich dir nicht weiterhelfen. Wahrscheinlich hilft dir eine Anfrage im Commons:Forum mehr, als ich es kann. Deine Bilder enthalten ein paar sehr schöne Tips für meine nächsten Touren, dafür vielen Dank. Allerdings möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass die Bilder nicht frei lizenziert sind. Ein Upload und ein anschließender Review entsprechend Commons:Panoramio files würde hier zu Schwierigkeiten führen. Hallo Martin, in diesem Titel hat sich ein Fehler eingeschlichen, nämlich „Disidia“. Es muss heißen „Desidia“. Sowohl in Wörterbüchern (Pons, Der kleine Stowasser) als auch auf dem Bild selber unten links von der Mitte zu sehen. Die anderen Disidias habe ich schon verbessert, aber ich weiß nicht, wie das geht bei den Titeln. Wenn Du das vielleicht erledigen würdest? Hi Martin, I'm from Polish WIKI and currently polishing off an article on the Duke of the Abruzzi (to replace the current one). I gather from the Talk page of Duilmodena that in 2010 you blocked this user for reasons that are irrelevant for me at the moment. I would greatly appreciate, however, your assistance in my getting in touch with this person, because s/he uploaded most interesting and most rare old photographs and postcards concerning Italian Somali, which s/he claimed had come from a private collection.
