Thanks for uploading File:Logo-Année-de-la-foi francais.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Logo-Année-de-la-foi francais.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Picture of the Year 2013 R2 Announcement[edit]

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2013 is open![edit]

2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 7 March 2014. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2013/Introduction/en Click here to learn more and vote »]

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Bonjour Olivier !

Peter17 (talk) 14:12, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of arms[edit]

Hola/Helllo Olivier LPB!

Online translation: Officially the coat of arms of Archbishop Jean-Louis Bruguès uses a processional cross of two sticks, and not a simple. Currently the archbishops of personal title do not use the simple cross, I have no idea why this disused. Please, before editing any of my coats, check with me the changes you want to make, for example you have added the Pallium to the arms of some metropolitan archbishops, although they can use it, officially your shield has no Pallium.

Congratulations, Dear license reviewer[edit]

If you use the helper scripts, you will find the links next to the search box (vector) or as single tabs (monobook). They are named license+ and license-.

Hi Olivier LPB, thanks for your request for license reviewer status. The request has been closed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. You can now start reviewing files – please see Commons:License review and Commons:Flickr files if you haven't done so already. We also have a guide how to detect copyright violations. Potential backlogs include Flickr review, Picasa review, Panoramio review, and files from other sources. You can use one of the following scripts by adding one of the lines to your common.js:

importScript('User:ZooFari/licensereviewer.js'); // stable script for reviewing images from any kind of source OR
importScript('User:Rillke/LicenseReview.js'); // contains also user notification when review fails, auto blacklist-check and auto-thank you message for Flickr-reviews.

You can also add {{User license reviewer}} to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your contributions on Commons!

Re: Coat of arms of Xavier Novell i Gomà.svg[edit]

Hola/Hello Olivier LPB!

Online Translation: I don't have the heraldic description, I based on the official image for the shield. Analyzing the image I realized that both the episcopal cross, as the tape containing the motto are gold, but the Tower has a different tone, I came to the conclusion that the tower is natural, although in some cases, depending on the size of the official version, can be confused with gold. A tower of gold on silver background is not correct, so the idea that is natural is more coherent.

Do you work with layers, when you make a shield.? Analyzing your version of the coat of arms of mons. Jaume Traserra i Cunillera, I see that Blue Mountain is above the line that limits the shield. Watch this video, this is how I work, you can see how I use layers, and their usefulness.

Louveteaux[edit]

Bonjour Olivier.

Olivier LPB (talk) 12:45, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Arturo_Sosa_SJ.jpg[edit]

Greetings.

I wonder what type of documentation do I need? I was given that picture directly by the Communication Office of the Jesuits' 36th General Congregation, specifically to be put it in the English and Spanish wikipedia articles, which I was ask to create. This is the same photo used for all press releases announcing when Arturo Sosa was elected Superior General of the Jesuits. I normally use general use pictures when I edit articles. This is the first time I am asked for documentation.

Thanks for any help you can provide with this.--Coquidragon (talk) 05:01, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, in fact " a general photo of communication" can't be accepted on commons. The photo must be in public domain or in creative commons. You have to find the author of the photo and ask him the permission to put his photo in public domain or in creative commons. And with this permission, send a message to Commons:OTRS, to confirm the licence of the photo. Olivier LPB (talk) 07:50, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hola/Hello Olivier
