Public Domain Mark Flickr images[edit]
Dear Adeletron 3030,
Public Domain Images such as https://www.flickr.com/photos/60564189@N06/10594221445/ are NOT {{Cc0}} unless they are your own work by the uploader. These images should be licensed as {{PD-author-FlickrPDM}}
Best, --Leoboudv (talk) 20:20, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
If you license a flickr PDM image as {{Cc0}} , the flickr bot will NOT PASS the image because it is the wrong license. Please see this file history Best, --Leoboudv (talk) 19:46, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Leoboudv I’m confused. Which images are these in reference to? And why are you leaving a message with a timestamp from April 6? Adeletron 3030 (talk) 00:43, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Because I had sent the very same message to user Ooligan who continues to upload PDM licensed images as {{Cc0}}
- I recall you once uploaded some images as {{Cc0}} when it was in fact licensed as PDM or {{PD-author-FlickrPDM}} I had to retag your images as PDM and pass them. Best, --Leoboudv (talk) 03:26, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
Do these 2 images help:
- File:New England Revolution vs Liga Deportivo Alajuense 2024-03-06 53572986090.jpg &
- File:New England Revolution vs Liga Deportivo Alajuense 2024-03-06 53572539051.jpg
You uploaded them as {{Cc0}} when the flickr license Here and over Here is Public Domain Mark or {{PD-author-FlickrPDM}} So, other users had to correct your mistake. So, when you upload, in future PDM flickr licensed images, please type in {{PD-author-FlickrPDM}} It is not a cc0 license image.
As you can see From the History of one of the 2 image files, the flickrbot Did Not Pass your image on Commons because you originally typed in the wrong {{Cc0}} license. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 03:36, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Leoboudv Thanks for clarifying. FWIW, I think there's a change to Upload Wizard, which used to let you specify the license but now defaults to CC-Zero for some reason. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 13:25, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
