You did an excellent work in restoring the image File:Maxim Gorky LOC 3c00472u.jpg. The new image looks awesome. In fact, I had tried restoring as well, but could not do justice and gave up. --Sreejith K (talk) 11:56, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I too almost gave up after spending a long while on it and it not looking much better. However I got to a stage where I had done too much to leave it and continued. Regards, Fallschirmjäger  14:48, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
File:San_Siro3.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

you rock man[edit]

Thanks for all the fixes. I didn't even know what was wrong. So good to involve others and collaborate instead of trying to do it all myself! TCO (talk) 23:51, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Traditional paneled Murphy bed raised.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Traditional paneled Murphy bed raised.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Wknight94 talk 03:19, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from Australia. I see you removed the watermark from this image : great job ! Can you assist in investigating something else on this image - if you study the shells on top of the cartridge cases, it looks to me as if the shells have been added on to the photograph, there are strange effects where the shells join the cartridges. ?? regards, Rod — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rcbutcher (talk • contribs) 04:06, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from England! Now that you've pointed that out, the shells do look rather strange, something isn't quite right about them. The obvious uncertainty is the shadows on the cartridges which don't continue onto the shells. But I'm not sure to be honest, it does look like they could have been added but they could be genuine, although the right hand shell looks different to the rest, so that could have been added. But really the image is too small to make a accurate judgement I would say, so unless a higher resolution version could be studied I wouldn't want to further change the shells. Regards, Fallschirmjäger  09:49, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This would have been a propaganda photograph... what big guns and what big shells and cartridges we have etc... the cartridges look like they are pasted over the shells... so could we have a photo without showing ammo, then shells pasted in, then cartridge cases pasted over that ? Compliments[edit]

Compliments on the excellent job retouching that William Henry Harrison photo on the main page. Really nice work. MarmadukePercy (talk) 08:41, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fallschirmjäger, congratulations for having created today's picture of the day in en.wp. In order to be able to translate the description to German, I've asked a question at File talk:Painted Turtle Distribution alternate.svg. Maybe you want to reply? Best regards, --Flominator (talk) 15:51, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Danke! I shall reply on the file talk page now. Regards, Fallschirmjäger  16:05, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fallschirmjäger, thanks for the work you did on this map. Unfortunately, my annoying reviewers wanted some more information to be added to the map:

  • Sylacauga, Alabama (Alabama Ordnance Works) [This is already marked but the subheading is missing]
  • Dana, Indiana (Wabash Ordnance Works)
  • Morgantown, West Virginia (Morgantown Ordnance Works)
  • Dayton, Ohio (Dayton Project)
  • St Louis, Missouri (Mallinckrodt)
  • Mexico [Has nothing to do with the Project, some people just felt it was weird being left off the map.]

The original map can be found in book

Sorry to trouble you. Hawkeye7 (talk) 05:59, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, I've made the changes you requested and have also commented in the FA review. Regards, Fallschirmjäger  13:04, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
