Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Bilder Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH[edit]

Ja, richtig dem ist so, sodass alle hochgeladenen Bilder entsprechend den angegebenen Lizensen verwendet werden dürfen. Dementsprechend brauchen die hochgeladenen Bilder über Gerstlauer nicht gelöscht werden. Falls noch irgendetwas nötig sein, damit es keine Probleme mit den Bildern gibt, schreib mir bitte. Wie kann ich die Freigabe mit WP:OTRS abgeben?

Hallo Karsten11, wenn Du wieder einen Löschantrag stellst, wäre es sehr hilfreich, wenn Du dieser Prozedur folgen könntest. Ferner ging aus dem Löschantrag nicht wirklich klar hervor, welche Datei gelöscht werden sollte, da DVU.svg im LA nicht genannt wurde. Lass es mich bitte wissen, wenn ich Dir behilflich sein kann. I have uploaded some photo regarding Moss Jernverk, it is placed under Ironworks in Norway but there is so many files now so I think there should be a separate category, could you fix it for me? Am 3. Mai 2012 21:00 bis ca. 23:00 (UTC) hochgeladene Dateien[edit]

Leider gab es da einen Server-Fehler wodurch die Dateibeschreibungsseiten nicht erstellt wurden. Diese ließen sich auch danach nicht erstellen, sondern erforderten das Löschen und Wiederherstellen der Datei, was nun getan ist. Eventuell findest Du einmal die Zeit,

Deine Kategorisierungen hier[edit]

Der Standort „Oberkommando des Heeres“ hat nichts mit dem Führerhauptquartier „Felsennest“ zu tun. Da liegen Luftlinie 4,5 km Distanz dazwischen. Bitte anders kategorisieren. In diesem Sinn sind auch die Bildtitel falsch und irreführend. Siehe meine Änderung vom 22. 11. 2011. -- Хрюша ^?? 05:57, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

your collection: "Cultural heritage monuments at Zeppelinallee"[edit]

Dear Herr Ratzke:

First, please accept my apologies I cannot write in German.

Second, thank you very much for your fine documentation of this wonderful part of a wonderful city.

My family and I lived on this block, south of the French Consulate, in 1963. I know my former flat is in your collection but cannot identify it with certainty. I would like to identify with certainty my former flat. I hope you can help me.

Three things I know:

1. We did not reside in #33. I am sure we lived in either #31, #27, or #21. Were I forced to bet, I would bet on #27. However, it looks somewhat different-- and with good reason; it has been a half-century since I lived there!

2. Our flat was the "ground floor".

3. We had cellar access.

Clearly you know much of the history of these houses. Perhaps the following will help: the house was occupied by the U.S. Army. My father was stationed at Frankfurt Post, and the flat was our assigned residence.

Number 27 seems most familiar. My only doubt is the large "bay window", as we say, on the right-hand side. In place of that bay window, our flat had a balcony, much like the one directly above the bay window. And, it is clear how easily that balcony might have been enclosed since our time there. If I am correct about #27, I can describe what was behind each window in our time: the bay window was the dining room. The middle window was the parlor. The window to the left-hand side was the master bedroom.

If it would help, I am able, and would be happy, to produce from memory a complete "overhead-plan" sketch of the flat in our time.

Hi Landis, These houses are part of our cultural heritage management system and described in the book “Heinz Schomann, Volker Rödel, Heike Kaiser: Denkmaltopographie Stadt Frankfurt am Main.“. In some cases this book mentions, that buildings are not in the originally shape but changed. For no. 27 no change of balcony is mentioned. To find out, if the building has been occupied by US army or if it has been changed, I’ll contact our cultural heritage department. I would assume that they have archives about. Denkmalkategorien Bonn[edit]

Hallo Karsten, du bist momentan der einzige, der sich im Rahmen von WLM überhaupt um Bonn kümmert. Dafür danke. Ungewöhnlich finde ich die Denkmalkategorien auf Basis einzelner Straßen. Bisher dachte ich, man sollte das auf Ortsteilebene beschränken, weil es sonst zu kleinteilig wird. Selbst in Köln unterteilt man nicht weiter nach Straßen, siehe z.B. die Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Köln-Altstadt-Nord. Gruß--Leit (talk) 11:51, 22 September 2012 (UTC) Nachtrag: Systematisch richtig wäre es, allgemeine Kategorien auf Basis von Straßen anzulegen – also statt Category:Cultural heritage monuments at Fontanestraße (Bad Godesberg) Category:Fontanestraße (Bad Godesberg). Kulturdenkmäler sind ja nicht die einzig für Commons interessanten/relevanten Objekte. Mein Vorschlag ist also: Kulturdenkmalkategorien auf Ortsteilebene und "Themen"-Kategorien auf Straßenebene. In Frankfurt haben wir auch eine Aufteilung auf Straßenebene. Ist für mich weniger eine Frage des Prinzips, sondern eine Frage der Menge der einzusortierenden Bilder. In der Plittersdorfer Straße sind das fast 30, in der Rheinstraße nur 5 und in Kappellenweg nur 1. Daher ist eine Kat für den Kappelenweg quatsch, eine für die Plittersdorfer Straße sinnvoll und eine für die Rheinstraße grenzwertig. Ich verstehe Dich so, dass Du sagst: Eine Kat je Straße (wenn groß genug) und eine zweite Einordnung direkt in Kulturdenkmal je Ortsteil. Das wird teilweise sehr groß. Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Godesberg-Villenviertel wird am Ende ca. 300 Einträge haben. Bezüglich der Straßen, die in mehreren Ortsteilen sind, haben wir natürlich ein Problem. Ich hatte das in Category:Cultural heritage monuments at Louisenstraße (Bad Homburg) so gelöst, dass ich eine Unterkat mit dem anderen Ortsteil (in diesem Beispiel Gonzenheim) gebaut habe. Generell sehe ich das ganze leidenschaftslos. Kats dienen zum Finden von Bildern. Da ist ein einheitliches Vorgehen besser als ein optimales. Ob es dazu Metadiskussionen gibt, weiß ich nicht. Diskutiert wurde das Thema schon einmal lokal beim letzten WLM-Durchlauf. Man kann es im Prinzip auch nur regional entscheiden. Was m.E. überhaupt nicht sinnvoll ist, Straßenkategorien zu erstellen, die keinen Inhalt haben außer der Denkmal-Unterkategorie. Die Ortsteilebene halte ich für groß genug – sie muss ja keine 300 Bilder enthalten, sondern 300 Unterkategorien. Wenn wir da wirklich Vollständigkeit haben – ein Zustand, von dem wir weit entfernt sind – ist die Kategorie eben so groß. Es soll sich ja auch um ein Verzeichnis aller Denkmäler handeln. Man wird die Bilder nicht besser finden können, weil man Unterkategorien für jede größere Straße erstellt. Und im Gebiet von Godesberg-Villenviertel/Rüngsdorf/Plittersdorf ist wirklich jede größere Straße ortsteilübergreifend. Daher wird man die Ortsteilebene ohnehin nicht weiter untergliedern können, es sei denn nur für die Straßen, die nur in einem Ortsteil liegen. Das ist dann aber eine Vermischung unterschiedlicher Ebenen miteinander, also nicht einheitlich.--Leit (talk) 14:05, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

irgendwas scheint bei Deinem Upload der o.g. Datei schiefgegangen zu sein: Duplikatsuche. Jedenfalls zeigt das Foto kein Gebäude in der Mirbachstraße in Bad Godesberg. Vom Aussehen her scheint das tatsächlich eher eine griechisch-orthodoxe Kirche zu sein.

Die Skulpturen in der Skulpturenallee sind alle von der Stadt gekauft und dort dauerhaft ausgestellt. Sonst ginge Panoramafreiheit ja nicht. Probleme mit der Dauerhaftigkeit haben wir in Bad Homburg an anderer Stelle, nämlich bei den Bildern der Category:Blickachsen. Bis auf diejenige Bilder von ehemals dort ausgestellten Objekten, die nun anderswo dauerhaft stehen, die ich eingestellt habe, gibt es dort jede Menge Bilder von Objekten der Ausstellung. Da die jeweils nur 6 Monate dauerte, sind das eigentlich alles Löschkandidaten.--Karsten11 (talk) 12:17, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

nun ja, die Vertriebenendenkmal-Kategorie enthält auch solche Denkmale in Österreich, soweit isch sah. Die von mir angelegte Kategorie ist eine Tochter-Kategorie zur übergeordneten allein auf Deutschland bezogen.

Hallo, du hattest die Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Bettenhausen (Lich) angelegt. Bekommen Stadt- bzw Ortsteile für ihre Kulturdenkmäler eigene Kategorien? Ich habe die de:Liste_der_Kulturdenkmäler_in_Lich um die Stadtteile erweitert. Und wenn ja, wie nennt man dann die Kategorie des Stadtteils der Kernstadt ("monuments in Lich Kernstadt (Lich)", "monuments in Lich Hauptstadt (Lich)" oder "monuments in Lich (Lich)")? -- Cherubino (talk) 01:50, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sinnvollerweise bekommen Stadt- bzw Ortsteile für ihre Kulturdenkmäler eigene Kategorien, wenn ausreichend Bilder da sind. In großen Städten kann man das sogar noch auf Straßenebene unterteilen (z.B. Category:Cultural heritage monuments at Fichardstraße (Frankfurt)). Damit ist die Zuordnung Ortsteil/Straße zu den Bildern automatisch gegeben. Was die Kernstadt betrifft, wird meist der Regelung in der Wikipedia gefolgt. In Usingen ist Kernstadt=Gemeinde, in Neu-Anpsach gibt es eine eigene Unterkat.--Karsten11 (talk) 12:27, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 - Ein Wiki-Beitrag für die Denkmaltopographie[edit]

Hallo Karsten11,

vor zehn Tagen endete der vierte Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments. Du hast daran aktiv teilgenommen und wir möchten Dir dafür herzlich danken.

Mit mehr als 35 Tausend Fotos hat Deutschland wie in den Vorjahren ein gutes Ergebnis erreicht und einen Anteil von 14 % an diesem internationalen Projekt erbracht, an dem sich 40 Länder beteiligten. Sehr erfreulich ist die hohe Zahl an 651 Teilnehmern allein in Deutschland. Schon zum Abschluss des Wettbewerbs waren rund 6000 Fotos (=17 %) in Listen und Artikel eingebunden. Einen detaillierten Überblick zu den Fotos, den Bundesländern und Teilnehmern findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite.

Die deutsche Jury hat nun die eingereichten Beiträge übernommen und ist gegenwärtig dabei, diesen wertvollen Fotobestand zu den Kulturdenkmalen zu sichten. Am nächsten Wochenende wird in Hamburg die entscheidende Jury-Sitzung stattfinden. Wir wünschen auch Dir mit Deinem Foto-Beitrag dabei viel Glück und Erfolg. Die preisgekrönten 100 Gewinner-Fotos werden in der Woche ab dem 20. Oktober veröffentlicht. Auf dieser Grundlage wird auch in diesem Jahr ein Kalender-Poster für 2015 gedruckt werden.

Auf zwei Möglichkeiten einer weiteren aktiven Mitwirkung an unserem Denkmal-Projekt möchten wir bei dieser Gelegenheit hinweisen bzw. Dich dazu einladen:

Unsere Freunde in Österreich haben mit einem gerade gestarteten Denkmal-Cup das Editieren von Denkmallisten und Denkmalartikeln in den Focus gerückt. Bis Ende des Jahres kannst Du Punkte sammeln und Preise gewinnen. Dabei geht es mit diesem Wettbewerb nicht nur um Kulturdenkmale in AT oder D, sondern generell um Denkmale in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia, als offen für alle Länder.

Vom 6.-8. November findet erneut die Europäische Denkmalmesse in Leipzig statt. Mit Unterstützung von Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. werden wir zum zweiten Mal die Ergebnisse von Wiki Loves Monuments im Rahmen eines Standes sowie eines Workshops vorstellen.

WLM-Aktivisten sind herzlich eingeladen, bei der Betreuung des Messestandes sowie in den Gesprächen über Möglichkeiten einer partnerschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit mit den Denkmalbehörden mitzuwirken. Die Reisekosten übernimmt für 8-10 registrierte Standbetreuer WMDE. Es muss nicht der gesamte Messezeitraum sein, auch eine Mitwirkung an 2 Tagen hilft uns, den Beitrag der Wikipedia für die Denkmaltopographie sichtbar zu machen.

Und schließlich gilt: Nach dem Wettbewerb ist vor dem Wettbewerb. Bereits jetzt kann jeder mit der Planung von Wiki Loves Monuments 2015 beginnen. Wir freuen uns auf Deine weiteren Beiträge für Wikimedia-Projekte.

I would assume, we are talking about File:Francois Blanc.JPG. I took this photography and published it as public domain. You can use it from this perspective without any restrictions. The plaque itself was created by an sculptor. I don´t know, who it was. The plaque is presented in a public park. Due to the fredom of panorama of Germany it is allowed to take the photography and use it without a permission of the sculptor. So feel free to use the image. Wiki Loves Earth 2015 - die Organisatoren sagen Danke[edit]

Hallo Karsten11,

am 31. Mai 2015 endete der Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth, an dem Du mit Deinen Bildern teilgenommen hast. Dafür möchten wir Dir herzlich danken.

Dieses Jahr haben sich 26 Länder am Wettbewerb beteiligt, insgesamt wurden dabei 108.444 Bilder hochgeladen. Aus Deutschland kamen 14.115 Fotos, was einem Anteil von 13 % entspricht. Sehr erfreulich ist die hohe Zahl von 1000 Teilnehmern allein beim deutschen Wettbewerb. Einen Überblick findest du auf unserer Ergebnisseite.

Die deutsche Jury hat Ende Juni auf einer Sitzung in Fulda die Top100 und die Preisträger ausgewählt. Eine Entscheidung der internationalen Jury wird noch im Juli erwartet.

Ein anderer Fotowettbewerb steht bereits vor der Tür. Im September findet zum fünften Mal der Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt, bei dem Kultur- und Baudenkmäler bebildert werden sollen. Mit dem Fotografieren dafür kann jetzt schon begonnen werden. Vielleicht möchtest Du Dich sogar an der Organisation dieses Wettbewerbs oder von Wiki Loves Earth 2016 beteiligen?

Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen[edit]

Hallo Karsten11,

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

Friedhof Praunheim[edit]

wäre es sinnvoll, den Friedhof Praunheim in "alt" und "neu" zu trennen?

Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich ein wenig verwirrt. Imho gibt es nur einen Friedhof Praunheim. Der Kirchhof der Auferstehungskirche wurde vorher als Friedhof genutzt, eine Bezeichnung "Alter Friedhof Praunheim" ist aber imho unüblich. Was ist zu tun? Hier auf Commons sind in der Category:Ehrenmal auf dem Friedhof Praunheim die Bilder der Linde und des Ehrenmals an der Kirche. Das ist falsch. Die müssen da wieder raus, da der Kirchhof nicht der (heutige) Friedhof ist. Dafür können wir Als unterkategorie vom Category:Auferstehungskirche (Frankfurt-Praunheim) und Category:Cemeteries in Frankfurt am Main eine neue Kategorie Category:Kirchhof Auferstehungskirche (Frankfurt-Praunheim) machen, wo diese Bilder reinkommen können. In der Wikipedia sollte der Artikel de:Friedhof Praunheim und die de:Liste der Friedhöfe in Frankfurt am Main um die Friedhofsfunktion des Kirchhofs ergänzt warden. Hallo, ich habe einen Teil des Beitrags gelöscht da er defakto falsch ist. Auf dem Grabstein ist ein anderer Rudolf Achenbach angegeben, als der der im Text beschreiben wurde. Die Daten auf dem Grabstein stimmten auch nicht mit dem im Text beschriebenen Rudolf Achenbach überein und ich weiß das der beschriebene nicht in Bockenheim seine Ruhestätte hat! 176.94.123.169 16:48, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ja, das ist sinnvoll. Wir haben hier einen Bildhauer. Die Möglichkeit, dass im Laufe der Zeit noch Bilder von ihm hochgeladen warden, ist durchaus gegeben. Wenn dann die Personenkat angelegt wird, ist dieses Werk gleich einsortiert. Aber noch besser ware es natürlich, ich hätte die Kategorie gleich mit angelegt. In der Wikipedia sind "rote" Kategorien nicht gerne gesehen. Hier auf Commons ist das akzeptiert. --Karsten11 (talk) 16:25, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pfarrhaus Bickenbach (Bergstraße)[edit]

Hallo Karsten11, Du hattest in der Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Bickenbach (Bergstraße) das folgende Bild angelegt: File:Bickenbach, Darmstädter Straße 47.JPG. Ich habe gerade die Liste der Kulturdenkmäler in Bickenbach (Bergstraße) überarbeitet, und festgestellt, dass die Hausnummer des Pfarrhauses Nr. 43 ist, somit wohl an die Kirche gekoppelt (siehe Foto der Infotafel in der Category:Darmstädter Straße 43 (Bickenbach)). Ich hab da auch länger dran rumgedoktert, da die Flurkarte für das Pfarrhaus keine Hausnummer ausweist, und die Nummer 43 ja dort der Kirche zugewiesen ist. Die 45 gibt es gar nicht, die 47 ist definitiv diejenige des roten Hauses, das auf Deinem Bild links vom Pfarrhaus zu sehen ist (1. Flurstück östlich der Einmündung der Jugenheimer Straße).

Aufgund der Hausnummer am Pfarrhaus habe ich die dazugehörige Kat angelegt und Dein Bild dort einsortiert - nur zu Deiner Info. Gruß --Muck50 (talk) 18:24, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deine Umkategorisierung von Grabsteinbildern[edit]

Hallo Karsten, ich bin weder einverstanden mit, noch begeistert von, diesen Umkategorisierungen: von [2][3] bis [4][5]! Zumal ich darin auch weder Sinn noch auch nur den geringsten Vorteil erkennen kann. Es wäre also - bevor du zu weiteren derartigen Aktionen schreitest - sinnvoll, zuvor dazu eine Diskussion zu führen und auch mindestens eine 3M einzuholen! Hinzu kommt, dass Bezeichnungen wie z.B. "Kategorie Grab II GG 21 Edinger" eher verwirren als informieren oder aufklären! --Simsalabimbam (talk) 07:46, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kategorien dienen dazu, Bilder des gleichen Objektes oder der gleichen Art von Objekten zusammenzufassen und auffindbar zu machen. Wenn es also nur ein Bild des Grabes II GG 21 gibt, ist es in "Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt" gut aufgehoben. Gibt es aber mehrere Bilder, so dient eine Kategoroe dazu, dass der Benutzer eben alle Bilder des gleichen Grabes findet. In der Category:Grab II GG 21 Edinger haben wir nun acht Bilder: Je nachdem, was der Benutzer beabsichtigt, kann er nun leicht das passende finden. Daneben müssen Kategorien sinnvollerweise so aufgebaut sein, dass der Benutzer sie findet. Du hattest die Bilder sinnvollerweise in die category:Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt einsortiert. Glücklicherweise haben wir inzwischen 2000 Bilder von Gräbern auf dem Hauptfriedhof. Als wir nur 50 Stück hatten war die Kategorie ausreichend. Heute findet niemand ein Bild von einem Grab unter diesen 2000 weil es einfach zu viele sind. In diesem Fall muss man die Kategorie aufteilen. Es kann sein, dass der Suchende den Namen kennt: Dafür haben eir die Kategorie: Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt by name. Oder er kennt das Gewann, weiss, dass es ein Ehrengrab ist oder ein Kulturdenkmal. Hierfür sind dann die Kategorien "Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt, Gewann II", "Cultural heritage monuments at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt, Gewann II" und "Graves of honor at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt". Außerdem sind die Objekte dann automatisch in den übergeordneten Hauptkategorien: Dieses Bild ist daher auch zu finden, wenn ich über Kulturdenkmäler in Hessen oder Ehrengräber in Deutschland mich durch den Kategorienbaum herabarbeite. Das ist natürlich nichts spezifisches für Gräber auf dem Hauptfriedhof sondern funktioniert im ganzen Kategoriensystem so. Was die Bezeichnung der Kategorie betrifft, so sollte sie einigermaßen sprechend und einheitlich sein. Ich habe die Grab-Kategorien einheitlich nach <"Grab"><Gewannnummer><Grabnummer><Familienname des Verstorbenen (wie in der Denkmaltopographie verwendet)> aufgebaut. Da kann man natürlich in beliebiger Weise andere Konventionen treffen. Gerade das Auffinden wird durch beispielsweise: "Kategorie Grab II GG 21 Edinger", nicht eben erleichtert - wem sollte ein derartiger Kategoriename zur Suche auch einfallen? Das könnte doch allenfalls einem Beschäftigten der städtischen Friedhofsverwaltung oder einem dort beschäftigten Friedhofsgärtner etwas sagen! Eine Suche in "Category:Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt by name" wird durch die jeweilige Vorstellung von "Grab" (vor Name oder Gewann und Name) auch nicht einfacher. Es ist nicht unbedingt zweckmäßig Kategorien aus der "Denkmaltopographie" unverändert in commons zu übernehmen, auch wenn es deine Arbeit natürlich erleichtert. Bei Namenslisten ist es immer übersichtlicher, wenn die Kategorie jeweils auch mit dem Namen beginnt. Es werden dadurch auch eher Fehler wie z.B. bei Willy Berking [6] bemerkt, wobei es sich nicht um das Grab sondern um einen Gedenkstein (an anderer Stelle) handelt. Ich kann auch nicht erkennen, zu was das komplette Übertragen aller Gräber aus der Denkmaltopographie dienen soll? Die Gräber in der Category:Graves at Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt by name sind ja nach Name (des Verstorbenen, nicht der Datei!!) sortiert. Welche Sortierung sinnvoll ist, kann nur der Suchende entscheiden: Wenn ich den Namen kenne ist eben "by name" sinnvoll, kenne ich die Lage, dann eben "by Gewann". Dadurch, dass wir beides haben, sind beide Aspekte abgedeckt (wir haben das darüber hinaus noch nach Jahr, nach Motiv und nach Steinmetz, für diejenigen, die danach suchen; diese Kats sind aber noch nicht vollständig umgesetzt). Je vielfäliger und je genauer diese Kats sind, um so einfacher ist das auffinden. Commons ist keine Enyzklopädie (wie die Wikipedia) sondern eine Mediensammlung. Enzyklopädische Relevanz ist daher kein Maßstab für die Frage, ob Bilder hier erwünscht sind. Abgesehen davon sind in der de-Wikipedia Kulturdenkmäler immer relevant. Sinnvoller ist es bei Gräbern aber sicherlich die Darstellung in der Wikipedia in Listen (hier de:Liste der Kulturdenkmäler auf dem Hauptfriedhof Frankfurt (Gewann I–XV)) vorzunehmen.--Karsten11 (talk) 10:18, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Das Haus gehört nicht in die Kategorie:Stolperstein, da es eben kein Stolperstein ist. Ich würde vorschlagen, einen neuen Kategoriebaum category:Stolpersteinlage (mit Unterkats nach Ort/Ortsteil) zu schaffen. Du erhältst diese Nachricht als Teilnehmer von Wiki Loves Earth 2014 oder 2015. Dieses Jahr wird sich Deutschland wieder am Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth beteiligen. Wir würden uns über weitere Bilder von Dir freuen. Der Zeitraum für das Hochladen der Naturbilder ist vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2016.

Für die Weitergabe an den internationalen Wettbewerb ist ab diesem Jahr eine Mindestauflösung von 2 Megapixeln erforderlich. Bitte gib an, in welchem Schutzgebiet oder an welchem Schutzobjekt (z.B. Naturdenkmal, Geotop) die Fotos gemacht wurden. Wenn Bilder gar nicht zugeordnet werden können, gelangen sie nicht in die Wertung. In die Bilder eingefügte Zusätze wie der Name des Fotografen, Datum, Beschreibung oder ein Rahmen sind unerwünscht.

Seit der letzten Runde sind unter anderem Listen aller FFH-Gebiete und EU-Vogelschutzgebiete in Deutschland erstellt worden, die nun ebenfalls auf Bilder warten.

Lizenzierung von Scans[edit]

Hallo Karsten, ich bin über die Löschung der Aktien und die Benutzerdisk des Uploaders auf dich gekommen. Ich habe neulich ein altes Dokument gescannt und mit PD-Text lizenziert. Du scheinst auf dem Gebiet recht bewandert zu sein und kannst mir sicherlich sagen, ob das die richtige Lizenz ist oder ob eine andere besser geeignet wäre. --Markscheider (talk) 06:48, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ist knifflig. Der Baustein besagt, dass keine Schöpfungshöhe erreicht wird. Hier haben wir einen längeren Text, da kann man schon von Schöpfungshöhe ausgehen (auch wenn bei dem Sujet klar ist, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass jemand eine Rechteverletzung reklamiert weitgehen Null ist). Das scheint mir aber ein einheitliches Formular zu sein, dass nicht von dem Unternehmen stammt. Wäre es ein amtliches Formular der Invaliden-Versicherung, dann könnte man Template:PD-GermanGov (amtliches Werk) nutzen und ware auf der sicheren Seite.--Karsten11 (talk) 15:33, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ich habe mehrere (selbe Person, aber verschiedene Bergwerke und Jahre) - die Unterschiede sind marginal. Es handelt sich um einen Vordruck, der mit den jeweiligen Daten (Name, Datum, Werk) ergänzt wurde. PD-Gov geht mE nicht, weil es sich um privatwirtschaftliche Vorgänge handelt, wenn auch die Art und Weise staatlich vergegeben war. --Markscheider (talk) 20:23, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Landräte des Kreis Ahaus[edit]

Hallo Karsten, bereits seit mehreren Tagen läuft hierzu auf seiner Disk in der de.WP ein Austausch. Augenscheinlich erhielt er die Dateien bereits üner die Kreisverwaltung. Selbst das Bild von Spee stammt von einem Maler, der erst 1968 starb. Bei den Landräten des 19. Jahrhunderts liesse es sich reparieren. Nun habe ich aber nach den Hinweisen an ihn alle Dateien mit entsprechenden Vorlagen versehen. Die Infos auf seiner Disk folgen. Über die Urheberrechtsfrage war er sich wohl weder im klaren noch bewusst, daher sollte hier nun Klarheit geschaffen werden. Danke für Deine Nachfrage hier auf seiner Disk, die ich erst soeben sah. Siehe meine Disk hier. Er geht scheinbar trotz diverser Hinweise davon aus, das durch die Entfernung aus den WP-Artikeln alles behoben ist. Eine ersten Artikel überarbeite ich nun. Lieber Karsten11, die zwei Goethehöfe-Bilder habe ich selber im Auftrag des Büros Landes & Partner produziert, für den Wettbewerb zuerst (das Bild ist schon nicht mehr aktuell, aber schön!), später für die Bearbeitung und für den Bauantrag. Das sind nur Visualisierungen, die 2019 durch Fotos ersetzt werden (müssen), wenn alles gebaut wird. Sollen die Leser von Wikipedia so lange warten? Seit 2014. Die beiden digitalen Bilder finden Sie auf der Landes & Partner Web-Seite. Mehr als das kann ich nicht erklären, sie sind eigentlich in Moment nur ein Platzhalter. Wenn Sie mir bitte helfen, wie ich die Quelle und die Urheber („Planungsgemeinschaft Goethehöfe Landes/Mäckler“, die richtige Benennung ist kilometerlang!, aber wenn und weil es nötig ist: auf dem Bauschild am Großen Hirschgraben kann man das gut nachvollziehen: "Planungsgemeinschaft Goethehöfe Architekten Wohnbebauung / Cantate-Saal Michael A. Hallo und guten Tag, bitte verzeiht mir, bitte verzeihen Sie, geschätzte/r Unbekannte/r meine Einmischung an dieser Stelle. Den Artikel über die Goethehöfe in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia beobachte ich seit geraumer Zeit, darum dieser Text.

Sehr geehrte/r Unbekannte/r (es ist in Wikimedia-Seiten sehr unüblich, einander zu Siezen; ich bitte vorab um Verzeihung, wenn ich darin Fehler machen sollte), es ist mir ein Bedürfnis, eines hinsichtlich der Inhalte der Wikipedia klarzustellen: Die Aufgabe der Wikipedia ist es ausdrücklich nicht, darzustellen und abzubilden, was für eine unbestimmte Zukunft geplant ist. Die selbstbestimmte Aufgabe der Wikipedia (samt ihrer Schwesterprojekte) ist es hingegen ausdrücklich, darzustellen, was bereits existiert. Ich kann gut verstehen, dass Planungsgemeinschaften, deren Aufgabe es ja gerade ist, vorausschauend zu handeln, sich da etwas benachteiligt fühlen müssen. Ich bitte Sie, geehrte/r Unbekannte/r erneut freundlich um Verständnis dafür, dass Ihr Bestreben nach Mitarbeit an der Wikipedia zwar sehr willkommen und an sich ehrenwert ist, möchte Sie jedoch gleichzeitig an das Sebstverständnis der Wikipedia als Enzyklopädie erinnern: Wir als Autoren bemühen uns, zu beschreiben, was bereits ist. Für „Platzhalter“, je umständlicher, desto mehr Arbeit für uns AutorInnen, ist da einfach kein Platz. — Also nochmal in Kurzfassung: Sehr geehrte/r Unbekannte/r, was bereits ist, hat in der Wikipedia ein Recht auf Pflege. Was noch in Planung befindlich ist, hat es nur in besonderen Ausnahmefällen, und das auch nur in sehr begrenztem Rahmen. Danke für Ihren unzweifelhaften guten Willen, doch die Wikipedia benötigt mehr als das: Fakten.

Wiki Loves Earth 2017[edit]

Hallo Karsten11,

bald startet wieder Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland, unser Fotowettbewerb rund um das Themengebiet Naturschutz. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du wieder mitmachst.

Bilder können vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2017 eingereicht werden.

WLE Deutschland kooperiert dieses Jahr mit der Deutschen UNESCO-Kommission (DUK). Die bestplatzierten Bilder von Biosphärenreservaten, Weltnaturerbe und UNESCO-Geoparks sollen auf http://www.unesco.de präsentiert werden.

Die allgemeinen Wünsche der Organisatoren haben sich nicht geändert: Schutzgebiet oder -objekt angeben, Originalauflösung, keine Signaturen oder ähnliches im Bild.

Die Suche nach geeigneten Motiven erleichtern unter anderem neue Listen aller deutschen Naturwaldreservate oder Listen der Naturdenkmale in Baden-Württemberg, im Saarland, Hessen und Brandenburg. Stöbere einfach mal bei Wikipedia, z. B. auf der Karte.

Eine Vorjury wird die Vorauswahl der Bilder übernehmen. Hier kannst Du Dich ebenfalls gerne beteiligen. Bei Interesse bitte unter WLE-Vorjury eintragen, das Passwort kommt per E-Mail.

Auch auf die Gefahr, Dich zu entillusionieren: Wir haben die Category:Media needing categories. Dort befinden sich etwa 1,5 Millionen Bilder, die keiner findet, weil sie keine Kategorien enthalten. Und da findet man unter den Buchstaben "Ap" Bilder, die mit "Apple" beginnen, unter "Po" Bilder, die mit "Pommes" beginnen (diese hatte ich katgeorisiert) und unter "Fr" Bilder, die mit "Frankfurt" beginnen....Karsten11 (talk) 18:48, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Grenzstein[edit]

Hallo Taunuskenner ;),

ich habe einen Grenzstein zwischen Weilquelle und Kastelle kleiner Feldberg aufgenommen. Nur weiss ich nicht, was da begrenzt wird. Kurmainz und ?? Knifflig. Offenkundig ist das ein Löwe. Umständehalber kann das nur ein hessischer oder ein nassauischer Löwe sein. Nassauisch war im alten Reich in der Gegend Falkenstein, hessisch Hessen-Homburg. Den hessichen Löwen erkennt man am einfachsten am doppelten Schwanz (siehe auch de:Bunter Löwe). Dummerweise ist genau der Schwanz verwittert. So nach vorne gebeugt würde ich auf einen nassauischen Löwen tippen (siehe auch Category:Coats of arms of Nassau). Ich tippe auf die Grenze zwischen dem de:Amt Reifenberg und Falkenstein. Du kannst die heutigen Gemeindegrenzen (die typischerweise sehr ähnlich den historischen Grenzen sind) online hier abfragen (Layer "Hessische Verwaltungseinheiten" einschalten). Die Grenze nach Falkenstein liegt nicht an der angegebenen Position sondern 300 Metzer höher am Windeck. Aber die Grenze nach Homburg liegt deutlich weiter, oben am Feldberg, Ich bin ziemlich überzeugt, wir haben hier einen Kurmainz/Nassauischen Grenzstein, der nicht mehr am Originalort liegt und habe das entsprechend einkategorisiert.--Karsten11 (talk) 09:02, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hermin Herr: Lexikon vom hohen Taunus, 1993, ISBN 3-7829-0437-0, S. 44 schreibt, dass sich Grenzsteine mit dem Mainzer Rad und dem Nassauer Löwen sich oft am kleinen Feldberg und an der Limesstrecke westlich von Glashütten finden. Automatic categorization through templates for monuments and memorials[edit]

Hi to all: since you have created {{GermanyMonumentsYear}} that automatically categorize the monuments and memorials that are in Germany by year of installation, as well as @Mattinbgn: created {{AustraliaMonumentsYear}}, and (thanks to you) I created (with copy paste) that for Italy ({{ItalyMonumentsYear}}), I wanted to ask, since I introduced the change that categorizes by country, if you can create a template that makes the automatic categorization even in that case, or at least if for you it goes well what I'm doing for the categories for Italy. You can find an exaple in Category:1954 monuments and memorials by country. Unfortunately, my knowledge of English is not so far advanced to make a liquid conversation, so I apologize if I was not able to express the concept correctly. Can you help me (and all Commons)? Can we introduce a new type of template that can be used and integrated for all nations with those that already exist? I´m not sure if I understood. First of all I uderstood, that we now have a new category tree Category:Monuments and memorials by country by century. To include this in the existing structure for Germany I updated template:GermanyMonumentsYear. To use this image under a free licence we need an approval of all these copyright holders. If you are the one, producing all these elements, please post this in the deletion discussion. Kategorien-Baum[edit]

Wie ich gerade sehe, hast Du einem Bild vom Marmorstein die Kategorie Taunus "entzogen". Das ist mir unverständlich; denn der Felsen liegt ja nun mal im Taunus. Die Kategorie Bad Homburg ist dafür nicht ausreichend; die Stadt liegt zwar im Hochtaunuskreis, was aber nicht den Taunus beschreibt. Bei allen Bildern ist immer zwischen der politischen und der geografischen Lage zu unterscheiden, beide sind anzugeben, auch wenn sie sich teilweise "überschneiden". Hier habe ich nicht übersehen, dass jeweils die speziellste Unterkategorie zu wählen ist; da der Hochtaunuskreis auch Gebiete außerhalb des Taunus (einschließlich der Kreisstadt, von der wiederum nur Teile im Taunus liegen) enthält, ist er keine "reine" Unterkategorie. Dies ist gerade bei Berggipfeln oder Pässen zu beachten, die vielfach zwei politische Lagen (Grenze entlang einer Kammlinie) haben, dennoch nur einem Gebirge (bzw. einer Gebirgsgruppe) zuzurechnen sind. --Friedo (talk) 18:14, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gemäß Commons:Overcat soll eine Einsortierung in Ober- und Unterkat typischerweise vermieden warden. Entsprechend schreibt die Kategoriebeschreibung von Category:Taunus auch: "Bitte Medien in den jeweiligen Orts- oder Berg-Kategorien einsortieren und nicht zusätzlich hier einsortieren". Ortübergreifende, taunusbezogene Medien wie die von Dir angesprochenen Berggipfeln oder Pässen haben ja jeweils Unterkategorien wie Category:Mountains of Taunus‎ oder Category:Pässe im Hochtaunus‎. Der Marmorstein ist jetzt aber doch nichts ortsübergreifendes, oder? Wenn Du das anders siehts, können wir gerne Category:Rocks in the Taunus als Unterkat von Category:Rocks by mountain range und Category:Taunus machen. Da können wir dann z.B. Gegen die neue Kategorie hätte ich nichts, wobei man die Felsen vielleicht auch unter Mountains (da es ja nicht so viele gibt) oder Naturpark Taunus einsortieren könnte.

Was ich meinte, ist aber etwas anderes: Eine Zuordnung in politische und geografische Kategorien ist kein Overcat in diesem Sinne, selbst wenn der Kreis als Unterkategorie des Gebirges (nicht ganz richtig, aber sinnvoll) geführt wird. Solche "Querverbindungen" lassen sich nicht vermeiden. Doch jeder Ort sollte immer in beiden Zweigen durchgehend auffindbar sein. Richtig ist, dass in beiden Zweigen stets die speziellste Kategorie zu wählen ist und keine im Baum darüber. Wenn in dem Fall ein Overcat vorläge, dann träfe dies natürlich auch auf untergeordnete Kategorien zu.

Und: Wenn ich einen Punkt im Taunus suche, darf ich nicht gezwungen sein, in den Hochtaunuskreis zu gehen.

Nebenbei gesagt: Brunhildisfelsen ist ja schon unter Taunus (über Mountains und Großer Feldberg) eingeordnet; aber in der Tat ist die Angelegenheit nicht so einfach, wenn man erst wissen muss, dass er zum Feldberg gehört. Daher sind sind Mehrfach-Einordungen durchaus sinnvoll.

Falsche Bezeichnung File:Wehen, Rathaus (1).jpg[edit]

Hallo Karsten,

Deine beiden Bilder sind falsch bezeichnet mit "Rathaus Wehen". Was Du fotografiert hast, ist ein Bankgebäude. Das (ehemalige) Rathaus ist ein paar hundert Meter weiter in der Aarstraße (ein Bau aus Ende 19. /Anfang 20. Jh, nicht verwechselbar). Die Bezeichnung und Einordnung sollte man daher ändern. Hallo Karsten11, als Stadtteilhistoriker Sossenheim bin ich an einer Vergrößerung des Priestergrabbildes der 3 Priestergräber Sossenheim interressiert. Diebe haben vom Grab Pfarrer Thome die Metallplatte entfernt und zur Rekontruktion brauchen wir bitte ein größeres Bild. Hallo Heinz, das Bild File:Sossenheim, Friedhof, Gräber der Pfarrer.JPG hat 4.608 × 3.456 Pixel und eine Dateigröße von 8,12 MB. Das ist schon ziemlich gut... (und der Text der Tafel ist da schon recht gut zu lesen). Ich bin derzeit in Urlaub. Wenn ich am Wochenende zurückkomme, schaue ich mal in meinen Bildern, ob ich was besseres finde und melde mich per Mail. Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

Ich hab die Verschiebung dieses Fotos zu Kategorie A661 rückgängig gemacht. A661 paßte ja nun garnicht. Aber die original, von Panoramio übernommene Position zwischen Anschlußstelle Höchst (B8) und Eschborner Dreieck war auch falsch. Das war wohl von dem Fotografen nach Gedächtnis plaziert; leider kennt sich dieser Chinesisch-Muttersprachler in Deutschland nicht so gut aus. Richtig ist knapp östlich vom Wiesbadener Kreuz; man sieht ja die Angaben "A66" und "A3" auf dem elektronischen Anzeiger über der Richtungsfahrbahn West. Ich hab auch die Koordinate geändert, jetzt wird allerdings angemecket, daß in "SDC" — was immer das sein mag — die alte, falsche Position steht. Wie kann man das bereinigen?

Gern geschehen. Mir war das Foto aufgefallen, als ich mein "Tier auf der Wiese" in die Kat. A661 eingeordnet hatte.

Jetzt steh ich aber immer noch vor dem Rätsel, warum ein Teil der Fotoserie dieses chineschen Touristen in Category:Photographs taken on 2013-07-06 eingeordnet sind, andere aber in Category:Germany photographs taken on 2013-07-06 eingeordnent sind. Beides sind ja, wenn ich das richti verstehe "hidden categories", die irgendwie automatisch entstehen, aber wodurch? In der Bildbeschreibung findest Du |date={{Taken on|2013-07-06}}. Die Vorlage {{Taken on}} sortiert automatisch in diesen hidden categories ein. Diese Bausteine hat der Bot bei der Übernahme aus Panoramio automatisch gesetzt. Dieses Datum hat er von Panoramio übernommen (ich vermute es wird dort aus den EXIF-Daten entnommen). Es muss also in der Tat jedes Bild angefasst werden, wenn das falsch ist.--Karsten11 (talk) 10:56, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Danke dafür, mich mit der Nase auf diese Template zu stoßen, die mir bisher im "Information"-Block nicht als solche aufgefallen war. Mir ging es allerdings nicht um das Kalenderdatum, das ist ja völlig richtig, sondern um hidden Categories wie oben. Nun fand ich in den 5 Fotos dieses Reisenden von diesem Tag, die in die Category:Germany photographs taken on 2013-07-06 eingeordnet sind, das "Taken on" Makro mit dem Parameter "location". Da steht dann date={{Taken on|2013-07-06|location=Germany}} und damit wird das Bild in Category:Germany photographs taken on 2013-07-06 eingeordnet, anstatt wie die meisten anderen in die allgemeine Kategorie Category:Photographs taken on 2013-07-06 eingeordnet zu werden. Diesen Parameter händisch bei an die 40 Bildern zu ändern, ist zu aufwendig; da geht nur die Kategorie zu ändern, und dazu soll es einen Bot geben. Wie man den bedient, weiß ich allerdings (noch) nicht. Ich hatte vor längerer Zeit mal so ein Teil angeguckt, und fand es zu kompliziert.

Unabhängig davon stellt sich die Frage, warum bei der Übernahme von Panoramio bei 5 der Bilder dieses Reisenden die location=Germany eingesetzt wurde, und bei allen anderen nicht? Fragen über Fragen, und die Unwissenheit hört nie auf :-(

Neue Erkenntnis: ich hab bei dem im Betreff genannten Foto im Makro "taken on" den Parameter location=Germany ergänzt, und automatisch wurde dieses Bild von der allgemeinen Datums-Kategorie in die Category:Germany photographs taken on 2013-07-06 versetzt. Kategoriennamen[edit]

Hallo Karsten,
du hast viele gute Fotos der Häuser in der Tübinger Altstadt eingestellt und dabei neue Kategorien gebildet. Kategorien, die einer Straße gewidmet sind sollten aus dem richtigen Straßennamen bestehen. Eine Ergänzung um den Ortsnamen ist nur dann sinnvoll und notwendig, wenn es Straßen mit gleichen Namen in anderen Orten gibt. Deswegen gibt es z.B. die Kategorien Am Kleinen Ammerle, Ammergasse, Neckargasse und Madergasse ohne den Zusatz (Tübingen), weil es sie nur in Tübingen gibt. Das gleiche gilt für die einzelnen Häuser in diesen Straßen. Ich habe deswegen einige Kategorien, die diesem Prinzip nicht entsprachen umbenannt.
Wenn du solche Hauskategorien bildest, dann könntest du bitte auch die Hausnummern in dem Kategorienamen einsetzen, damit solche Unterkategorien richtig sortiert werden! Vergleiche dazu Category:Madergasse, wo ich das korrigiert habe.
Falls es zu einem Haus weniger als drei Bilder gibt, hat es meiner Meinung nach keinen Sinn, eine neue Kategorie zu bilden, weil die Bilder aus der Hauptkategorie verschwinden und jede kleine Unterkategorie zu öffnen, einen zusätzlichen Aufwand macht. Wenn die Bilder, gut benannt, sich in der Hauptkategorie befinden, hat man meiner Meinung nach mehr davon. Du benennst deine Bilder ziemlich gut, ich würde dir aber empfehlen noch das Jahr in die Beschreibung aufzunehmen. Man sollte nicht vergessen, dass alles im Wandel ist, auch wenn man alte Häuser fotografiert. Diese Häuser ändern sich auch: werden neu gestrichen, renoviert oder sogar abgerissen. Vergleiche dazu Category:Froschgasse 12 (Tübingen). Mir erscheint das sehr wichtig, weil ich viele alte Fotos eingestellt habe und weil es in meinem Bewusstsein immer präsent ist, dass nichts so (ewig) bleibt, wie es jetzt ist.
Außerdem habe ich Kategorien umbenannt, die ein „und“ enthielten. Das deutsche Wort passt nicht in Kategorienamen und man kann es durch ein Zeichen ersetzen.
Du könntest eventuell die alten Kategorienamen entfernen lassen.

Zunächst einmal danke für das Feedback. Die Benennung der Straßen-Kats ist dahingehend knifflig, dass man typischerweise nicht sagen kann, ob es den Straßennamen noch in anderen Orten gibt. Bei Am Kleinen Ammerle ist die Einmaligkeit sehr wahrscheinlich, dass es nicht auch in anderen Orten Neckargassen geben soll, scheint mir hingegen unwahrscheinlich. Wenn ich neue Straßen-Kats anlegen, nutze ich daher typischerweise die Klammer-Kats. Wenn es nur eine Straße gibt, frisst das kein Brot, gibt es mehrere, so vermeidet das Falschsortierungen. Wenn schon eine Straßenkat besteht (das war in Tübingen überwiegend der Fall) sollte sich sinnvollerweise die Haus-Kat der Straßen-Kat anpassen, danke daher für die Anpassungen in der Madergasse. Ich habe in Tübingen so viele Bilder hochgeladen, dass ich da nicht immer genug aufgepasst habe. Wenn es zu einem Objekt mehr als ein Bild gibt, ist eine eigene Kat sinnvoll (es gibt auch Kollegen, die die Kat bereits bei einem Bild anlegen). Wenn Du Dir die Liste der Kulturdenkmäler in Tübingen in der de-WP ansiehst, dann siehst Du dort unter dem Bild den Link "Weitere Bilder". Dies verweist auf die betreffende Commons-Kat. Bereits ab 2 Bildern ist die Kat daher sinnvoll. Das Jahr in die Beschreibung aufzunehmen, ist ein sehr guter Rat, den ich gerne beherzigen werde. Das Löschen von verschobenen Kategorien kann man machen. Deine Lösung mit Category redirect ist aber perfekt; hier brauchen wir den Admins keine Arbeit zu machen.--Karsten11 (talk) 09:51, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Heutzutage ist es einfach zu prüfen, ob es einen bestimmten Straßennamen mehrmals gibt, weil das Internet wirklich alle Straßennamen kennt. Tippt man einen Straßennamen ein, bekommt man gleich Vorschläge mit den Orten. Das Anlegen einer Kategorie mit einem Bild ist in bestimmten Fällen sinnvoll und zwar dann, wenn es zu erwarten ist, dass weitere Bilder folgen. Ich habe aus diesem Grund viele Straßenkategorien von Tübingen angelegt, die zunächst oder immer noch nur ein Bild enthielten oder enthalten. Aber eine Kategorie mit einem Bild für ein Haus würde ich nicht machen, weil dies das durchblättern sehr erschwert. Falls weitere Bilder hinzukommen sollten, kann man immer noch leicht eine neue Kategorie bilden.
