Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, HaTe!

--Llorenzi (talk) 18:09, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't speek Italian. It is not acceptable to change category "Bozen" to "Bolzano". There should be both categories. About 70% of the population in South Tyrol (and even more than 30% in Bozen) speak German. "Bozen" has been the original name of this city since many centuries. --HaTe (talk) 18:24, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

--HaTe (talk) 06:23, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi HaTe. Sorry if I didn't translate word-by-word; I just tryed to do it... And I also added the Category:Monumento all'Alpino, should be correct or?? --Llorenzi (talk) 12:55, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lorenzi. If you translate descriptions of my photos (for example File:KapuzinerWastl.2008-11-08.5.png) to Italian, please translate correctly and completely. --HaTe (talk) 16:02, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category names[edit]

I responded to your talk page message on my English Wikipedia talk page, because I thought you were writing about a category on that wiki. On further investigation, I see that you were probably talking about Commons categories (it would have been helpful if you had said so in the first place). The same basic point holds true here: my bot does not make any decisions about category names, it just follows the redirects that users have previously created. If you don't like a category name, fighting with the bot is futile; instead, see Commons:Rename a category for suggestions. --R'n'B (talk) 19:40, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Korrekt kategorisieren[edit]

Hallo HaTe.

File:2009-05-15.Suedtirol2.003047.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Category deletion[edit]

I don't know why you want to write all category for one page. Usually in wikipedia the use is to write the specific category, not the more general, like you are doing in any pictures....--Llorenzi (talk) 13:21, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lorenzi. I agree, we should use the specific and not the general categories. But we shouldn't lose categories that are not part of this specialization path in the category tree. I think this loss has happened with some of your deletions. That's why I reverted some of your deletions. It is not always clear to me what general categories are included with a specialization. For example: Does "Monumento all'Alpino" really include "Fascism"? Not so simple to find out. This task should best be done by a machine. --HaTe (talk) 11:01, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dance of Zalongo[edit]

Hello, HaTe! I happened across your question on the Help Desk from last month; sorry nobody could help you sooner. Just now I edited the file page to display the monument ID and added the contest template. I don’t know how the contest organizers proceed with short-listing and judging, but I hope it’s not too late for your submission to be identified as an entry—at least it’s in the appropriiate category now. If you want to follow up, I believe there will be contact information at COM:Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Greece. Good luck, and thanks for your contributions!—Odysseus1479 (talk) 11:48, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
