There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Bonjour,
@Themightyquill and Fab5669:

Bonjour,
@Fab5669 and Daehan:

Cordialement,--François Malo-Renault (talk) 16:07, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bonjour,
  1. Il n'y a pas d'autres Émile Malo-Renault, donc les parenthèses sont inutiles ;

File:Carte de l' expo L'Estampe en Bretagne, e.f; Malo-Renault, MdePA.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Catégorisations Malo-Renault[edit]

Bonjour,

Cordialement, --Fab5669 (talk) 16:25, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bonjour @Fab5669 and Daehan: ,

Cordialement. --François Malo-Renault (talk) 06:03, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Re-bonjour @Fab5669 and Daehan: ,

   Mary Cassatt‎ (14 C, 3 P, 252 F)

D

   Gilles Demarteau‎ (1 C, 1 P, 65 F)

L

   Jakob Christof Le Blon‎ (1 P, 17 F)

M

Malo-Renault‎ (2 C, 1 F)

   Nori Malo-Renault‎ (1 F)

O

   Emil Orlik‎ (3 C, 2 P, 94 F)

R

   Jean-François Raffaëlli‎ (3 C, 1 P, 66 F)

Ö

Allan Österlind‎ (1 P, 24 F)

Après c'est peut-être plus clair. Cordialement.--François Malo-Renault (talk) 08:22, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bonjour,

Bon cela doit sembler confus? Bonne journée.--François Malo-Renault (talk) 05:58, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bonjour,
  • Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 1 P, 2 F)
    • Works by [Œuvres de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (2 C, 10 F)
      • Drawings by [Dessins de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 7 F)
        • Pastel drawings by [Dessins au pastel de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (26 F)
      • Engravings by [Gravures de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 18 F)
        • Etchings by [Eaux-fortes de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 15 F)
Cordialement, --Fab5669 (talk) 05:40, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
::
Vers un compromis ?[edit]

@Fab5669:

Cela donne:

  • Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 1 P, 40 F)
    • Works by [Œuvres de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (2 C, 10 F)
      • Drawings by [Dessins de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 7 F)
        • Pastel drawings by [Dessins au pastel de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (26 F)
      • Engravings by [Gravures de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 18 F)
        • Etchings by [Eaux-fortes de] Émile Malo-Renault‎ (1 C, 15 F)
          • La Petite chatte‎ (7 F)

j'ai fait l'essai cela présente vraiment mieux. Cordialement--François Malo-Renault (talk) 15:58, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Exemple.
Dans l'exemple ci-contre, les catégories sont les suivantes : Category:Etchings by Émile Malo-Renault, Category:Traditional costumes of Bretagne in art, Category:Unidentified locations in Bretagne, Category:1910s etchings, Category:Bretagne in the 1910s, Category:Malo-Renault.

Bonjour @Fab5669 and Daehan:

Bonsoir,
--Pa2chant. (talk) 13:33, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Catégorie: Graveur en couleur (de Wikipédia)[edit]

Bonjour @Fab5669 and Daehan: ,

Merci d'avance.--François Malo-Renault (talk) 11:40, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cordialement, --Daehan (talk) 15:11, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Bonjour@Daehan:
  1. REDIRECT 1 (ou https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat%C3%A9gorie:Graveur_en_couleur)
Cordialement,--François Malo-Renault (talk) 15:32, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Cordialement, --Daehan (talk) 15:40, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Hi. I received your email. Yann, perhaps you can assist this user in French with why he needs a license? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 05:54, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading File:Roman Futile, F Bernouard décor Nori MR.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Roman Futile, F Bernouard décor Nori MR.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Bonjour,

Cordialement, --Daehan (talk) 10:53, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Merci Daehan
('citation : raison pour la demande de suppression Malo-Renault died in 1938; therefore his work was under copyright in France until 2008 and does not meet the requirements under URAA to be free of copyright in the USA until at least 2020.

The thing is that you have uploaded it as CC0 and that is simply wrong. The license applied needs to match the reality of its publication and the author who wrote the work. If it is published in 1927, it would usually be 2023 to be out of copyright, which is at the end of the year of publication + 95 years, AND 70 years post the death of the author. That another site has got it wrong is irrelevant to the above statements and may just mean that you should not trust them absolutely.. Once your block has expired, I really encourage you to get to Com:Village pump/Copyright to ask your questions and to learn. It is really important that you learn so you don't get into trouble again.  — billinghurst sDrewth 07:48, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a faithful photographic reproduction of a two-dimensional, public domain work of art. The work of art itself is in the public domain for the following reason:
Public domain

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 100 years or fewer.

This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was published (or registered with the U.S. Copyright Office) before January 1, 1929.

The official position taken by the Wikimedia Foundation is that "faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain".
This photographic reproduction is therefore also considered to be in the public domain in the United States. In other jurisdictions, re-use of this content may be restricted; see Reuse of PD-Art photographs for details.

No. Because Commons computer servers are in the United States, all images on Commons must be PD or freely licensed in both the country of origin and the United States. See Commons:Licensing where it says:

Thanks for uploading File:René Marcille doc identifiant Roglo.pdf. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

We need your feedback![edit]

Hello. Apologies if this message is not in your native language: please feel free to respond in the language of your choice. Thank you!

I am writing to you because we are looking for feedback for a new Wikimedia Foundation project, Structured Data Across Wikimedia (SDAW). SDAW is a grant-funded programme that will explore ways to structure content on wikitext pages in a way that will be machine-recognizable and -relatable, in order to make reading, editing, and searching easier and more accessible across projects and on the Internet. We are now focusing on designing and building image suggestion features for experienced users.

We have some questions to ask you about your experience with uploading images here on Wikimedia Commons and then adding them to Wikipedia. You can answer these questions on a specific feedback page on Mediawiki, where we will gather feedback. As I said, these questions are in English, but your answers do not need to be in English! You can also answer in your own language, if you feel more comfortable.

Once the collecting of feedback will be over, we will sum it up and share with you a summary, along with updated mocks that will incorporate your inputs.

Also, if you want to keep in touch with us or you want to know more about the project, you can subscribe to our newsletter.

Hope to hear from you soon! -- Sannita (WMF) (talk to me!) 09:56, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This file may be deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Carte Mappy, Rennes, rue René Marcille.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

Thanks for uploading File:La Lettre Ornée au Moyen Age (suite ) JMR 1934.pdf.

Thank you.

Thanks for uploading File:Henri Marie Petiet (1894-1980).jpg.

Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Henri Marie Petiet (1894-1980).jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Copie@Yann
Merci d'avance.
Cordialement François Malo-Renault (talk) 12:00, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This media may be deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Minerve. Broderie de Nori MR,.jpg.

Thank you.
