There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Jakub Szela[edit]

Szczebrzeszynski (talk) 05:39, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Czerwony Sztandar" był wydawany we Lwowie 1939-1941. Po roku 1944 został przeniesiony do Wilna, wychodził chyba do 1990. Drzeworyty mogę zeskanować i przesłać ci mailem do późniejszego wykorzystania. Na oberpolicmajstra M jest sposób: zawiesić na angielskiej albo niemieckiej Wiki, a potem cichutko przenieść do Commons. znak graficzny DSE[edit]

Witaj...

--Dimkoa (talk) 06:39, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm... dość mądrze to wywiodłeś. --Dimkoa (talk) 18:03, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pay attention to copyright
File:You_are_here_-_metro_in_Paris.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. Flickr reviewer[edit]

Hello Electron, and thank you for your application to be a flickr reviewer. The application has been removed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. Congratulations! Please see Commons:Flickr images if you haven't done so already, and the backlogs at Category:Flickr images needing human review and Category:Flickr review needed. A helpful script for easy-tagging flickr images is at importScript('User:Patstuart/Flickrreview.js'); (which you can add to your monobook.js), and you can add {{User reviewer}} or {{User trusted}} to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your work on Commons! :) --Justass (talk) 11:37, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed that you use the category proposalsof the flickr upload tool. This is problematic in many cases because this tool places tons of more or less expedient categories. PLEASE categorise your uploads properly. Thanks in advance for supporting the categorisation on Commons! Regards, High Contrast (talk) 09:53, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Critically evaluate Flickr licenses
File:Michel_Albert.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid. Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters. See Commons:Questionable Flickr images for a list of known bad Flickr users.

There is no evidence that this file comes from http://www.snorgtees.com/ . I serched all 22 pages from http://www.snorgtees.com/snorg_photos.php and there is no such photo. The author's statement "i've developed a crush on the snorgtees girl www.snorgtees.com" means only that author is in love in girl that wears T-shirts comes from this site. If you searched other photos of chris.corwin you would find that there is more photos with this girl and with the author's himself wering such T-shirts... Please respect my request to keep discussions where they started, as this makes conversations easier to follow. I am watching this page, so I will see responses made here.
The reason you can't find that photo on their site is that the product has been removed. You'll notice that the photo has the same border and dimensions as the other product photos on the site, and that the same girl models for many of their other products. The photos of the Flickr user have different dimensions, no border, and he does not model on the official site. the snorgtees girl has a nice smile from the same photostream is nicked from http://www.snorgtees.com/shirt.php?products_id=212. And I'm sorry to bother you with this matter, as you find copyright paranoia disruptive. --Dereckson (talk) 13:40, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I reverted your edit [1]. She looks grown up in the photo, and from birth date & date of photo confirms she was in her 20s. Infrogmation (talk) 16:44, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Rueppell's Glossy-starling in Tanzania 2952 Nevit.jpg[edit]

Hi, thank you for renaming File:Rueppell's Glossy-starling in Tanzania 2952 Nevit.jpg. Please retain nevit and number suffix when renaming my files. I use both parameters when searching for a specific file of me on commons. i.e. I have uploaded about 120 photographs of species Lamprotornis superbus. I have uploaded more than 15000 files and without those tags management becomes a frustration for me. --Nevit Dilmen (talk) 10:57, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying my best :) :)

File renaming[edit]

I don't think this was a valid rename reason. The old name “Gravis UltraSound PNP.jpg” was neither wrong nor misleading. It is a Gravis UltraSound PNP. The user should have edited the description. The “Pro” is still missing there. And why Gravis UltraSound PnP Pro V1.0.jpg? Why not “Gravis UltraSound PnP Pro Version 1.0.jpg”? --TMg 09:04, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I fulfiled only the user request and his explanation sounds resonable. I am not an expert of sound cards. So what do you propose to fix the problem? I can change the name seconed time if you have a better name for this file. There is no problem... Please put an answer on my commons talk page because I am here only a guest. Regards Electron 11:50, 10. Sep. 2010 (CEST)
There is no need to do anything. That's what I said: there never was a need to do anything. You don't need to be an expert to look at the category and to see the reason was just to make the filename look better. Besides, I have the filemover right too. And please put your answer under the question. --TMg 10:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Thanks for explanation but now there is no big problem to change the name around wiki projects because it is usualy made automaticaly by CommonsDelinker. Of corse we should follow with commons principles & recommendations but they were stated much time ago when there were no automatic tools... Electron  <Talk?> 10:11, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No tool can fix external links pointing to the file. Cool URIs don't change. If somebody decides to delete the redirect, what then? Causing trouble for a title almost nobody will ever see. --TMg 04:12, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I understend your point of view but I left the redirect -> File:Gravis UltraSound PNP.jpg. Btw. If the redirect be deleted there is a trace -> a description usually left with a note where now is the file... Also every admin can see into deleted files because on wikis there is no possibility to delete anything. After so colled "deletation" the file stayed only unvisible for a reglar user, not for admins. Rename problem[edit]

Hello, both renames for the following file went wrong, could you please check it again? It should be File:Jaillot, Alexis-Hubert - Parties Des Archeveschés et Eslectorats De Mayence, De Treves; Du Palatinat et Eslectorat Du Rhein (...) (1696)-manipulated.jpg. Starwars photos[edit]

Hi Electron,
there seems to be a problem with your recent uploads of Starwars photos from Flickr. On Flickr and here it is claimed that these photos were shot in 2010, which is clearly impossible as these are obviously original scenes from the time the film was produced. Therefore, these are likely secondary photos of original photos shot some years ago by someone else and eventually shown in a Starwars museum or something like that. The question is, who shot the original photos. I recommend you to directly ask the Flickr user, where he shot these photos and, if my suspicion is true, who shot the original (old) photos. Otherwise we have to assume these are copyviolating derivatives. --Túrelio (talk) 08:25, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

bombardowanie Warszawy[edit]
