Hi Doron! Thanks you for your great images of Sanchi! By any chance, would you happen to have a photograph of the following frieze from the inside face of the Northern Gateway of the Great Stupa? Best regards User:PHGCOM

Thanks! I'm afraid not, sorry...--Doron 10:50, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And I thank you for the nice picture of the Kulla in Theth - that was really useful. Anything else from northern Albania is very welcome. --Albinfo 12:45, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're very welcome. I have many photos from around Thethi and Valbona, but I couldn't find a good article to add them to.--Doron 06:44, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hope you enjoyed hiking over Qafa e Valbonës – thinking that this is what you did. We can use your pictures in the German Wikipedia very well. Unfortunately, I didn't take so many pictures. We have an article about de:Valbona, de:Nordalbanische Alpen, de:Kreis Shkodra, de:Kreis Malësia e Madhe and de:Kreis Tropoja. I think that an article about Theth will be added in near future. Many useful places for nice pictures. --Albinfo 23:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Found a place for all of your new contributions. Thanks a lot. I kind of felt homesick watching these nice pictures. It seems that you haven't been that lucky whith the weather when hiking over Valbona Pass as we were. --Albinfo 00:44, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo page - Flag of Myanmar[edit]

Hi Doron,

Thank you for these great photos. I noticed that on your user page, the photos from Myanmar are labeled with the flag of Myanmar from 2010 to now. But these photos are older than that, so the flag should be "Flag of Myanmar (1974-2010).svg". Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.210.106.34 (talk) 18:06, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

photo useage[edit]

Doron,

Thank you for your pages. I am working on a book that includes a section on Haiti. Are you photographs of the Voodoo ceremonies available for use in print? If so, what are the guidelines. Thank you. Tony

Great photos[edit]

Just a quick note to say I'm really impressed with your photography, and your travels. I'm glad we've got you contributing - we could use a few more people with your talent. I mostly contribute photographs of New York people, places and things. My photography is improving. People are more difficult than landmarks. Not only in terms of getting close-up shots, but they also move too much. Just a note to say keep up the good work. If you want to see my contributions, check out my Wikipedia User page: David Shankbone. --DavidShankbone 22:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Midyat church[edit]

I noticed you uploaded the picture of a church in Midyat, labelling it as Syriac Orthodox: [1]. Are you sure about that? I think it is the Syriac Protestant church. --Benne 16:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, it's the Mor Sharbel (not Sarbel). I suppose in Hebrew that would be written with a ש. --Benne 13:16, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the update...--Doron 08:18, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

request for possible reproduction of one of your image for a book cover[edit]

Hi, Doron. I am a freelance photo researcher in the US and I sent one of your photos (of TianShan Road) to an art director. She is considering it for the cover of a novel. Do you think you would be ok with that usage? (It's a translation of a Chinese novel to be called ENGLISH. It is a bestseller in China. They will be able to pay you for usage if your image is selected.

Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.

Best,

Ruth rmandel@nyc.rr.com

Dear Doron, I have written a children's book called 'Picturing Jesus'. It is to be published by Cambridge University Press in South Africa. I would like to use your image of the baptism mural in Haiti. Would this be possible? CUP would be prepared to pay a permissions fee. They would need a high-res image. Please let me know what you think of this idea by emailing me at: jeanne.maclaymayers@gmail.com as soon as possible. Jeanne 8 Sept 2008

Hi Doron, Congratulations for your good pictures. Please, would you say to me if the weed in this picture are marijuana cigars? If so, where is the locality?

use of photo[edit]

Hi Doron,

I would like to use your photo of the Port-au-Prince taxi for a feature on Haitian immigration to New York on an academic website. I see from the license that that's okay, but I don't know how to properly attribute the work to you beyond simply "Doron." Can you provide me with your complete name? My email address is tdodson@hulmail.harvard.edu. Thanks.

Tom

Thank You for the Wikipedia Pictures[edit]

I also gave credit to you on my web pages for your work. Thank you for sharing with the public. My website is:

I add pictures such as yours to one of the following major sections of my site: 1. World section - contains information and over 10,000 images of every world country and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/index.htm

2. USA section - contains information and images of every USA state and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/usa/index.htm

3. English section - "Mel and Wes" lessons in conversation format. Stories are located in various USA states and world countries such as China, England, Germany, Japan, Mexico and Thailand. Each lesson has many slang terms and idioms, which I link to my Slang Dictionary. This eventually will have over 5,000 terms. Currently, it has about 3,000 slang and idioms. I regularly add new lessons and slang terms. use of the picture "A section of the Great Wall near the fort"[edit]

Dear Doron,

I am writing a text book for university student on the structural design of rammed earth buildings, and I was wondering if I could use your picture of the Great Chinese Wall.

If your answer is yes, would it be enough to refer to you as Doron? I'd like to add to the caption of the figure "Photo courtesy of Doron". Would this be ok?

Thankyou!
