Hi Rillke, Yes I did this very bad mistake. I actually did a mistake removing myself from the archive, I was so shame about the copyright I did very bad but I will not do it again this. When I was applying for this (Flickr-reviwer tool) I felt so shame about what I did uploading copyrighted photos so I didn't have time to withdrawn the nomination. Later, I tried to stop uploading and took myself a look at the welcome page about contribution to the media repository. Once I read the welcome page, I contribute photo very good photos but free from copyright. I did this by mistake to avoid myself shame. As you can see, I have made many good contributions to Wikimedia Commons such as helping the user to promote this picture into a Quality and Valued picture status. I also appreciate the arguments for opposing this because, I do not have enough experience yet (only 250 edits), but I'm actually improving experience here well. I have been here for nearly 1 year and I actually have need more experience with copyright. I also have nearly 2000 edits since contributing to this project. Thank you for your great help, I kindly appreciate that and I will try to re-apply this when I gather some experience, read the guidelines and help and I will apply when I have done so (possibly in summer 2012) Kindly regards. --Katarighe (Talk · Contributions · E-mail) 19:19, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
I settled here on Wikimedia Commons specifically to promote great quality images into VP, QP and FP status. I actually learned my mistakes earlier in the last six months. I'm also actually active in the English Wikipedia specifically to upload fair-use articles to illustrate the subject. During my time here, I always track down copyright violations and help Wikimedia Commons running smoothly free from trouble. Thats what i'm really good at for now. So im only trying to improve here very well. I have been long active in Wikimedia Commons I do understand well about image licenses already but I will be also familiar with more still about copyright. Very good. But removal from archive won't make things disappear. Be honest about the mistake you make/made and lots of us will trust you, I think. And an appeal: Please use edit-summaries. E.g. if you archive 2 users from the request-page fill in the user's name who go to archive in the summary-field. This will ease later checks. Ok, that's good, thanks, I was just seeking for the right userbox. BTW (nothing to do with adminship anyway) is there a way to put in a babelbox that indicates that I have a flickr account but which name is not the same as my username on Wikimedia projects? -- Blackcat (talk) 22:14, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I already knew that. The problem is that such userbox assumes by default that the username on Flickr is the same as in the Wikimedia projects, whereas my actual name on Flickr is Sergio the Blackcat so I was wondering whether the template code allowed us to indicate a different username than the one we have here on Commons; or if I have to do some workaround to fix the inconvenient instead. I edit Wikimedia projects since three years, I know everything about copyrights, but the images I uploaded was published under a free license, I still can't understand what is the reason of deletion requests --عباد ديرانية (talk) 17:01, 26 February 2012 (UTC).
If the images are published on Flickr under creative commons license, what is the purpose of this process in the first place? Also, I have a premission from the authors of some images to upload them here, they are not all taken directly from flickr, and I can give emails of those authors if needed --عباد ديرانية (talk) 17:07, 26 February 2012 (UTC).
Look, I have uploaded many files to here from Flickr before, and I didn't face any problems before this time, I don't understand what is the purpose of all of this. Hello again. I have contacted the author (who gave me the pictures in the first place), and he said that Hama free site is not his, and it seems that the site has published the pictures without premission. The pictures were originally taken by Hama revolution group, a revolutionary page on Facebook that publish protests news of Hama province, and he sent me them by email after I have asked him for them under creative commons license. Note that some of the picture were not published on any other site, and were directly given to me, which is a proof that he is their original owner --عباد ديرانية (talk) 18:44, 26 February 2012 (UTC).
