Photos Cadillac Ranch[edit]

Bonjour, Je viens de découvrir que vous avez supprimer 3 photos sur Cadillac Ranch (126, 127 et 128). Ces 3 photos sont des photos que j'ai prise lors d'un voyage sur la Route 66. Je ne comprends pas cette suppression... Pouvez-vous m'en dire plus ? Merci Lreich

Can you delete this photo?:[1] The copyright holder doesn't own it. I basically just created a cropped verion of the photo that was already here (which has since been deleted). On the en:WP (here) is a link to Version in höherer Auflösung (1200 × 1600 Pixel, Dateigröße: 271 KB, MIME-Typ: image/jpeg), but I don't find this link on commons: Keine höhere Auflösung vorhanden.. Albanian money[edit]

You have deleted the following pics without any reason. I will explain it in easy words because my english is bad and it seems you are quick in deleting but not in reading and thinking:

For the images Image:25-Lek-Albanien.jpg, Image:200Lek(1992).jpg, Image:1Lek.jpg, Image:100Lek.jpg I set an exact quotation (with web-link on the full text) of the albanian copyright law, which says that bills and coins do not fall under any copyright. What else a uploader can do? I think it can be awaited, that an administrator reads all text, which is related to a pic before deleting.

The second case is a liitle more complicated. There it would have been necessary not only to read but to think: If you had read, what was written at the pics of the bills, a normal thinking person could combine, that it will be the same fpr the actual coins. (Pic Image:Albania 2006 circulating coins.jpg)

For the last case (Image:Zog frang ar coin back.jpg, Image:Zog frang ar coin front.jpg) it would have been necessary some information about albanian law history (first copyright law after 1990). You do not know and you are not interested to ask, just deliting. This is stupid.

Appreciate the message Bryan (& the support) - it just wasn't going anywhere though! I understand that I am pretty unknown and that is a good reason for not voting for me now. But it does concern me that the tool is needed and those with it need to use it. If you warn someone a few times about copvios for example and block them a few times and then block them indefinitely what proportion do you reckon will try again! Bryan ! J'ai à nouveau besoin de tes conseils avisés et de ton expérience précieuse ! J'ai importé des photos depuis Flickr. Or, je m'aperçois que parfois, elles sont "de travers" ! C'est le cas pour moi et pour un autre "importateur", par exemple concernant Image:The_Sultans_Elephant-Rocket.jpg.
Existe-t-il un module automatique sous Commons ou Wikimedia permettant cette rotation de 90° ? Sinon, peux-tu le faire "à la main" ou m'indiquer comment procéder ? N'existe-t-il aucun moyen ... hormis le ré-import (toujours "long" sous un autre nom, à faire suivre d'une demande de "suppression rapide" ?

FlickreviewR-notmatching[edit]

Hello, Bryan,

The FlickreviewR bot reports a mismatch on Image:David_Singmaster_2006.jpg but I don't know how. All the versions I've found--the commons image, and the Flickr image (under both the URL I gave and the URL FlickreviewR reports) compare identical when I download them (with Firefox to MacOSX). While I'd like to get it fixed, of course, I'm more interested in being sure I'm doing the right thing to keep the bot happy so it doesn't need more human intervention. Is there some log of what sort of mismatch the bot found, or a way to see if the bot still finds a mismatch? Publishing an image from wikimedia[edit]

The picture is the main one on the Diamantina, Minas Gerais page (people on street with colourful houses and hillside behind). It states in the licensing section:

Well, the bad news is that the same person (based on the username and his/her photos) are keep coming. Here's the new one: Special:Contributions/Smpl05. I can put deletion requests again to their images and follow the usual procedures, but I guess there will be revert and revet again by other new sock users. The problem is that the person, whom I believe is coming from Indonesia, is using those images to vandalize id articles. For instance, this version of his/her under other username in id wikipedia. Your bot replaced Image:South and ohanlon.jpg with the original from Flickr, but as you can see the original is on it's side whereas the large sized image is correct. Hi Bryan, I read twice the message you sent me; the images i uploaded did have copyright information and, actually, they have NO copyright; a friend of mine took them while on vacations in the city, and i even asked him for permission to use them (although NO copyright is being held). He uploaded his pictures on flick and i chosed "the best" i could get. I don't understand why they have been erased :S, i would really appreciate if you can tell me why the images are considered as "not free", as you wrote in your message.
