Bandeira do Brasil[edit]

Caro Tonyjeff,

Tonyjeff (talk) 22:41, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Farc[edit]

You dont know to read?. As say in the descriprtion I made the image, the first image of Farc-ep ever seen. I can't violate the copyright of muy own work. Or perhaps you can confuse the people for move my copyright rights in favor to the authentic violators?. This image was first published in 1998 in a catalan magazime and in Internet about 2000; later images take from my work are the violations that you seems now to protect against the true author. I stoped many time ago to load images in commons because here there's a lot of people like you that want to made merits destroying the good and original images, and even sometimes imposing bad images generally violations of copyrights. Now I only load images that I licensed before, or some image that i need specially for my articles; and my phographic database of about 450.000 photos (i.e. 16.000 photos I take in India; 12.000 in Ceiland and Maldives; 8.0000 in Gambia, etc...) that I was planing to give to Commons, was stored and never will be licensed due to evil people that usurped the direction and administration of commons. If you need contact me you can find me in catalan wikipedia user:jolle. --jolle (talk) 15:12, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are wrong:
  • 1) Farc is now a terrorist organization ¿Where they have registered their flag, logo or my drawing?
  • 2) Logo of the Farc, according its own documentation, can be reproduced freely worldwide (in fact this is that they want). Some countries can persecute the artist under accusation to cooperate with terrorist organizations, but no one for violation of an innexistent copyright.
  • 3) According international law the flags are no object of copyright neither its elements when interpreted by artists. Can be discussed that happen if the logo is used by other organizations, but seems that being a terrorist organization, even this can be made.

4) All papers ands magazimes in Colombia are fill of the logo. The flag photo is reproduced many times.

  • 4) I have registered my image in the corresponding departament of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Also the image is stored in the regional archive. No similar image was obtained in the basa data of international registered images, and if exist is later that the mine and never should be copyrighted without my permission.

Seems that you are trying to find any justification to your unmeditated action, but that the logo is copyrighted is not a good option: is too many evident that it is not. Your insults and menaces are tipical; I can't forbidden you to use this tactics, as they are the common in commons. Your work in commons seems to be poor, specially confronting wit your menaces as if you was the great boss; please moderation.--83.33.217.11 17:37, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

caravelas[edit]

Presidential. flag of Brazil[edit]

I'm sorry, but you are wrong. I have an actual photo of the flag, and the colours are based directly off of it.Therefore I am changing it back. HERE is the photo. Fry1989 (talk) 18:53, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please show me these laws and official files? Fry1989 (talk) 23:29, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You need to give me some proof, such as a link to the official files, otherwise it's only your word, where-as I have an actual photo of the flag. Please give me proof. Fry1989 (talk) 00:04, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you do need to give some proof. When the appearance of a file is in question, and one person has evidence of it being one way, you can't just claim that person is wrong, you have to prove them wrong. I'm willing to wait until you can find official documents, and I wish you the best of luck if you choose to(as I tried and couldn't find any), but you can't just say I'm wrong and expect me to accept that. Fry1989 (talk) 00:33, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You don't seem to understand something very clear. I have a photo of the flag. My changes are not "personal tastes", they are directly derived from the photo. I searched a very long time for official documents regarding the flag and arms, on embassy websites, government portals, and to no avail. Unless my changes can be proven wrong, there is no reason for you to revert them. Did you know that even the Government of Brazil isn't exact with their Arms? Compare this to this to this. Two show it darker blue, and one with light blue, and other noticable differences. I have no lack of faith in th eoriginal uploader getting it from a Government website, but since that source no longer exists, we have no way of reviewing the Arms. You simply can't just accuse me of making preferential changes when I actually use sources. This isn't about preference, this is about reality, and a photo is reality. Fry1989 (talk) 01:53, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, I've checked the blazon, and it does not mention such things as the strokes that you are insistant upon. It only mentions the elements of the Arms. Here is the text.

""The National Arms were instituted by Decree No. 4 of 19 November 1889, with alteration made by Law No. 5443 of 28 May 1968 (Annex No. 8) The making of the National Arms should conform to the proportions of 15 units of height by 14 of width and take into account the following provisions: I - The round shield will be composed of a sky-blue [azul-celeste] field containing five silver [prata] stars arranged in the form of the Southern Cross, with the bordure [bordura] of the field outlined in gold and charged with silver stars equal to the stars existing in the National Flag (Modification made by Law No. 8421 of 11 May 1972). II - The shield will be placed on a star parted gyronny of ten pieces, green [sinopla] and gold, bordered by two strips, the inner red [goles] and the outer gold. III - All placed on a sword in pale, pommelled gold, hilted blue [blau], except for the center part, which is red [goles] and contains a silver star, all upon a crown formed by a branch of coffee fruited on the dexter side and another of flowering tobacco on the sinister side, both in proper colors, tied blue [blau], the whole assembled on a splendor of gold, the contours of which form a star of 20 points. IV - On a blue [blau] scroll, placed over the pommel of the sword, inscribed in gold the legend República Federativa do Brasil in the center, and also the phrases 15 de Novembro on the dexter end and de 1889 on the sinister end."" Greetings,

You're credited as the author of File:Coat of arms of Libya-1970.svg. I'm wondering if you remember the name of the font used for the Arabic inscription. I know I've seen it before and was sure I had it on my computer, but I'll be darned if I can find it. I'm hoping you may be able to assist me.

Imagens do Museu Imperial[edit]

Dornicke (talk) 19:11, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
File:Independência ou Morte.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

At.te. Tonyjeff (talk) 17:27, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

about middle coat of arms of Belgium[edit]

Good afternoon Since you are the author of the image, I decided to write to you. The drawing is good, but it does not reflect reality. Below are links to the actually used image of the small coat of arms of Belgium. As you can see, it is different from what is posted. The image of the lion is different, the motto ribbon contains inscriptions in French and Dutch. The general view is different.
