Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:PD Vietnam Government. I think the template is poorly worded. --Martin H. (talk) 02:52, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

{{PD-VietnamGov}} is not used in Vietnamese Wikipedia since 2008, you can see at vi:Bản mẫu:PVCC-CPVN and vi:Thảo luận Bản mẫu:PVCC-CPVN (Martin H. can read if use Google Translate). This template is only used in Vietnamese Wikisource for legal documents, administrative documents and other documents in the judicial domain and official translations of these documents of Vietnam Government. So this template in Commons should be deleted. Tranminh360 (talk) 01:22, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It should not be deleted because still people can still upload pdf files of the law for example. I reworded it.
My interpretation was that with the old wording people thing that per the decree No. 100/2006 organizations virtualy have no copyright on their documents. It was only one user (who before has copyright problems in Wikipedia with a sockpuppet account) who completely got it wrong. --Martin H. (talk) 02:40, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Legal Documents[edit]

According to the Law on the Promulgation of Legal Documents (2008), Article 2, legal documents of Vietnam Government include:

1. Constitution, laws and resolutions of the National Assembly.

2. Ordinances and resolutions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.

3. Orders and decisions of the State President.

4. Decrees of the Government.

5. Decisions of the Prime Minister.

6. Resolutions of the Justices Council of the Supreme Peoples Court and circulars of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Peoples Court.

7. Circulars of the President of the Supreme Peoples Procuracy.

8. Circulars of Ministers or Heads of Ministry-equivalent Agencies.

9. Decisions of the State Auditor General.

10. Joint resolutions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly or the Government and the central offices of socio-political organizations.

11. Joint circulars of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Peoples Court and the President of the Supreme Peoples Procuracy; those of Ministers or Heads of Ministry-equivalent Agencies and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Peoples Court, the President of the Supreme Peoples Procuracy; those of Ministers or Heads of Ministry-equivalent Agencies.

12. Legal documents of Peoples Councils and Peoples Committees.

And, according to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents of People’s Councils, People’s Committees (2004), Article 1, Clause 2, Legal documents of People’s Councils are promulgated in form of resolutions. Legal documents of People’s Committees are promulgated in form of decisions or directives.

So photos are not legal documents. Tranminh360 (talk) 16:43, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adding new notices about the misdirection of the license[edit]

{{edit request}} There seems to be a problem relating users misusage of the license for their files/photos. Most of the files/photos contain actual photos and SVG/png, which are not photos of legal documents as stated in the template. So please add a "Warning" or "Notices" that could remind users in the future to use this template on documents photos only. An example of document photos could be seen here. Further information can be found on Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:PD Vietnam Government. Emperofvietilia 20:47, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Emperofvietilia: what text would you like to be used as a warning, and where in the template would you like it to go? --DannyS712 (talk) 18:33, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Create a warning that says, "The template is for scan text document's images purposes only." The warning will place after "Note." (Also, if there is any grammatical mistake in the warning I list here, can you fix it? Thanks) Emperofvietilia 07:00, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done --DannyS712 (talk) 17:02, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Sorry but one last thing, should the warning be like this, "The template is for images of scanned text documents only," because the way you say it makes it sounds like the template creates from an image of a scanned text document. Thanks for the help! Emperofvietilia 22:42, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done, sorry --DannyS712 (talk) 22:43, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion about documents and if this template should be split up[edit]

Decree No. 30/2020/ND-CP[edit]

{{Edit request}} Please update the template to reflect Decree No. 30/2020/ND-CP which helps defining the controversial term văn bản (so far has been translated to English as "document"). Under Article 3, văn bản means "written information communicated by means of language or sign, which is formed during operation of agencies and organizations and presented in a proper format and technique as prescribed". This implies that "document" is mere text and does not inlcude photos, images, logos, emblems whatsoever. I suggest changing the word "document" to "text document" or any English word that is close to "written information". On a side note, this template has been misused in multiple cases, because Vietnamese users mistook the word "document" for tài liệu (which means a complete document file with images, graphs, etc.).  Băng Tỏa  19:36, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Băng Tỏa: Bản mẫu có dòng Warning rồi mà? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 03:12, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The word "document" appears 10 times so I will need a more specific request. Also, NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh is correct. There is already a warning on the bottom line. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:53, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
