Природная резервация[edit]

Природная резервация это по-русски заповедник. Так что описание изображения дня File:Giant Kingfisher-002.jpg следует поменять. Bogomolov.PL (talk) 13:08, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Сижу на русской версии Викисклада, и вижу что ссылки в Содержание ---> По темам не переведены на русский. Переведите, а то у меня не хватает времени. 16:32, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

"images from ..."[edit]

On Main Page, the following text, Images from September 24 is in the 'content' box. On the Spanish main page, Portada, it was suggested we add Imágenes del 24 de septiembre, into the Contenido box? It has been suggested that [[{{#timel:F j|now|en}}|Imágenes del {{#timel:j "de" F|now|es}}]] be added to that page. Could this be translated for this page?

Запрос на изменение/Request for a change[edit]

As a Twitter user, I'm eager to request a change of just only one word on this page related to Twitter. It's a text on the button for sharing into Twitter. The change is from this:

|Tweet = Твит

to make this:

|Tweet = Твитнуть

In the second example the verb is used (prompting the user to tweet the photo and media file) while in the first, current one, the noun is used that just means "The tweet" (on the button!). It would be really great if someone could put the Twitter icon before the verb like that: " Твитнуть", but I know, I probably want a way too much :) — Pacha Tchernof (talk) 14:44, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rubin16, you're welcome! I just figured out that the tweets about POTD and MOTD are composed from the text in English. I think it would be better to provide translations for those strings as other versions of Commons on different languages have. May you please add a bit of code so the tweets about POTD and MORD would preload in Russian? I would say that informal verb "Зацените" is more compatible with Russian-speaking Twitter, but I'll understand if you'll change "Зацените" into something like "Посмотрите".

@EugeneZelenko, thank you for your comment and your question! After some time passed, I decided to exclude the variant with word "Зацените" because the main intention is to neutrally point the POTD/MOTD out to the other public — that is the audience of the Russian-speaking Twitter. Оценивать is not a neutral verb for me but I'm not disagree with your variant. So thus now we have four variants to choose:

1) Оцените сегодняшнее Изображение дня…
2) Посмотрите на сегодняшнее Изображения дня…
3) Оцените, какое сегодня Изображение дня…
4) Посмотрите, какое сегодня Изображения дня…

@EugeneZelenko, oops, sorry, I fixed 2nd and 4th variants above. You know, I like Полюбуйтесь, but it could sound kind of ironic for Russian-speaking Twitter audience :D
Ok, I don't like 3th and 4th variant anymore for their usage of "какой" word — that is, we currently have:

1) Оцените сегодняшнее Изображение дня…
2) Посмотрите на сегодняшнее Изображения дня…
3) Полюбуйтесь сегодняшним Изобржением дня…

Description of the photo of the day.[edit]

The weather station in Teriberka is by no means abandoned, as follows from the caption to the photo, it is in operation. On the photo - an old abandoned weather station building, next to which a new one was built a long time ago. In Russian, the description of the file is formulated correctly, in other languages (as well as the name of the file itself) is misleading. Vsatinet (talk) 08:22, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
