Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.

Chełm[edit]

Otrzymałem automatyczne powiadomienie, że mój nick został wymieniony w temacie DR plików Chełm Nowe Miasto. Jak sprawdziłem o co chodzi, to widzę, zwracasz się do mnie o to, żebym "nie niszczył czyjejś pracy". Wybacz, ale nie wiem o co ci chodzi. To, że uważam osobiście, że pliki, o których rozmawialiśmy na fejsbuku są chronione (co zaznaczyłem wstawiając do którejś grafiki COPYVIO), że nie warto się kopać z koniem, i że niektóre pozostałe pliki zgłoszone zostały do DR przez kogoś z Wrocławia (rozumiem, że sprawdziłeś IP tego anonima?) to niekoniecznie znaczy, że to akurat ja mam zamiar wszystkie te pliki wywalić.

Jak ci może wiadomo, jestem na od paru lat Commons adminem, ale niezwykle rzadko zgłaszam cokolwiek do usunięcia (na palcach chyba jednej ręki mogę policzyć tego rodzaju swoje zgłoszenia, przez całą moją blisko 10-letnią działalność na wiki), i to tylko w sprawach oczywistych (a ta - jak wiadomo - nie jest). Jestem w ogóle w grafikach inkluzjonistą i sam się zżymam na kolegów-adminów z innych krajów, którzy nie bawią się detale, tylko rżną podejrzane ich własnym zdaniem obrazki jak leci (jak na przykład koleś, który przybrał nick "INeverCry" i chyba rzeczywiście postępuje tak jak się nazywa) pod byle pretekstem.

Bądź zatem łaskaw - na przyszłość - najpierw dokładnie sprawdzić, czy na pewno masz rację, posądzając kogoś o "destrukcję", a jak jej nie masz - to daruj sobie takie zagrania. A w tej dokładnie sprawie, na dziś - wycofaj mój nick z tej dyskusji, bo nie chcę być mieszany do mało mnie interesującego tematu. Ja ci na fejsbuku dałem radę - według mojego najlepszego rozeznania, ale w dyskusję o tych twoich plikach wchodzić nie zamierzam, bo mnie nie interesuje, czy zostaną, czy wylecą. Ale nie życzę sobie, żeby ktoś bez uzasadnienia wycierał sobie moim nickiem ekran w kontekście "destroying".

PD≠license (Re: szablony)[edit]

Nie jestem pewny, o jaką wzmiankę chodzi. Czy masz na myśli tekst „domena publiczna (public domain - without a licenses)”, który usunąłem z File:POL Chelm outline hist districts.svg? Jeśli tak, to był on po prostu zbędny, ponieważ niżej jest wstawiony szablon {{Cc-zero}} (a konkretnie to {{self|cc-zero}}), który właśnie mówi, że praca, którą stworzyłeś i udostępniłeś jest w domenie publicznej. Użycie odpowiedniego szablonu licencji jest lepsze od „gołego tekstu” np. dlatego, że pozwala na wyświetlenie tekstu licencji w różnych językach, również tych, których autor pracy nie zna. Co zaś się tyczy Chełma, to nie pomogę ponieważ nie znam tego miasta – byłem tam raz w życiu, tak ze ćwierć wieku temu. :-) --jdx Re: 17:29, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Chełm location map[edit]


Hej! Z punktu widzenia szablonów lokalizacyjnych Wikipedii najważniejsze jest, żeby mapa miała dobrze zdefiniowane współrzędne krańcowe mapy. Mówiąc inaczej, wszystkie jej boki muszą być dokładnie określone przy pomocy (odpowiednio) szerokości lub długości geograficznej. Czy znasz takie współrzędne dla swoich map? Wejdź sobie dla przykładu na stronę mapy lokalizacyjnej Warszawy (wektorowej) w polskojęzycznej Wikipedii. Tam w tabelce znajdziesz coś takiego jak współrzędne graniczne dla każdego brzegu mapy. Bardzo chętnie podmienię mapę Chełma na Twoją, tylko muszę znać dokładnie te cztery wartości, bo tez tego moduł będzie błędnie oznaczał na mapie położenie poszczególnych obiektów. Wielkie dzięki, że mnie pogoniłeś! Wróciłem niedawno z urlopu i faktycznie uciekło mi to trochę, przepraszam. Wprowadziłem właśnie zmiany tutaj.
