Copyright owner?[edit]

Wgreaves, can you confirm that you are the copyright owner named in image summary (Caroline Culler) of the images you have uploaded. Due to wikipedia's strict image policy, I am concerned about using some of you images in article before this is confirmed. Thank you, Ocitim (talk) 15:06, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ocitim, I think it's clear the images uploaded by Wgreaves belong to the user because of the presence of Metadata on each file (such as time, date, camera model, etc.). This would suggest they are being uploaded directly from the device that created them.
Good point. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Ocitim (talk) 11:56, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Madam Greaves

I am making a project for school about news networks and their influence on society. I stumbled across one of your images (pictured on the right in a thumbnail) and thought it would make a fitting image for a cover, as it shows the typical reporter at work on a very well taken picture. Could I please get your permission to use this image?

With kind regards, T.

Of course! Thank you for the message. Wgreaves (talk) 14:23, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, First, THANK YOU so much for such a wonderful picture. I am going to use it in our family tree. Before it was the bookstore, it was the photography studio for my Great Uncle and Aunt, Charles Vitalini. (I would say that he and another uncle were probably the ones who did the artwork on the back door. Though I can't say that I have proof of it, since all the parties are now deceased.) S Schultz

Beautiful work; Harvard request[edit]

I really like your new Widener picture -- the coloring is beautiful. If you are or will be in Cambridge again, perhaps you will consider this photo request. If this photo could be replaced with a similar one in which the "three lies" on the plinth are clearly legible, that would be ideal. Other images already in the article could also use improvement.

And assuming you'll be at this year's Commencement, you might get some ideas for "needed images" from [[w:History and traditions of Harvard

Commencements]]. Subjects that come to mind include sheriffs (or horseback or opening/closing ceremonies), dignitaries/candidates in procession/seated, processions passing JH statues -- all obvious I suppose!

This year (June 15) is Widener's 100th anniversary so I suppose there will be some kind of event at some point. If you don't mind my giving you more to do, replacements for the following would be great for w:Widener Library:

I recognize that interior photography requires permission but perhaps you have friends in high places. (I don't feel comfortable using images taken against Harvard policy, not that you'd suggest anything like that, of course.)

Among my humble talents photography does not number, which is why I'm heaping all this one your. Your efforts are really appreciated! EEng (talk) 22:41, 25 May 2015 (UTC) P.S. I'll try to remember to watch here but it might be best to ping me at enwiki if you need me.[reply]

Hi Caroline, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottandrewhutchins (talk • contribs) 19:46, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I enjoyed talking to you at the Wiknic. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next event, or before then if you have any interest. I imagine that you don;t meet nondrinking guys very often. My e-mail is the same as my Wiki username at Yahoo if you'd like to contact me that way. Here is a look at my DVD collection. A lot are buried in storage because of my living situation, but the recent Criterion acquisitions are relatively easy to get at, including all the Godards except Pierrot le Fou, which is not a recent acquisition (and long out of print). My blog is at https://scottandrewhutchins.wordpress.com, where I'm very open about it and politically angry. Basically, I'm medically limited to a desk job and get to interview for less than 1% of those to which I apply, and when I manage to get one, the wage is often impossibly low to survive on and usually has an approximate end date within a month or two. --Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 02:43, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Caroline. I mentioned that 50% off Criterion Collection sale at Barnes and Noble around Black Friday. I just saw an ad for it on Facebook yesterday, so it's running again.
