UNASUR maps[edit]
Sure, I'll do it, as I did for ASEAN! (any reply you may wish to address to me, I'd thank you if you might do it here in Wikimedia Commons, or in the Spanish, French, Portuguese or Italian Wikipedias, since, on grounds of excessive argumentation, I'm now blocked in English Wikipedia). - Estoy tenendo una pequeña dificultad en editar el archivo svg con el inkskape. Podería, talvez editarlo en png, en alternativa. Pero ahora estoy bloqueado de la wp inglesa, lo que no facilita tampoco. Voy intentar resolver este prolema con el inkscape, o exportarlo para png y después para svg, una otra vez. - Do you speak Portuguese or Spanish? I'm having a discussion about these maps on the Portuguese Wikipedia (there's a dispute about framing or not the UNASUR / UNASUL countries as the ASEAN, EU, and AU countries have been framed. - Hi, I've got 2 maps by Spesh531. I've started discussing this with Chronus. He has userpages in Portuguese, Spanish and English, so I guess there is no problem if you discuss it with him in English, in his talk page (I've mentioned these files in his Portuguese talk page). Mondolkiri1 (talk) 15:51, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Well, Chronus is not satisfied yet, because Brazil is a very big country and he'd be glad if it could be displayed in an orthographic projection. I've told that to Spesh531. It's possible that other South American editors are also more comfortable with the orthographic projections. There must be a way to do it, but I don't know how. I could do it easily like in these maps of Brazil and Argentina for the other countries, though I could still need the help of Spesh531 in what concerns to Chile, since the Chilean and Argentine claims in Antarctica overlap each other, and I don't have such map about the Chilean claim over Antarctica. - The extent that the map goes is the United States to Antarctica (north south wise), and has country data for the African countries of Morocco, Western Sahara, Algeria, Mali, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, and anything west of the that, so I am going to extend Brazil map as much as possible from the countries whose data is on the image. I have all the member country maps ready to be uploaded, I just need approval of the dimensions of the map. Is the Argentina map ok?—SPESH531Other 20:38, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Well, Argentina is very big but it doesn't have the continental dimensions that Brazil has. I've also discussed this in your talk page @Spesh531: and I'd invite Viladive to read what I wrote there, as well. Mondolkiri1 (talk) 21:14, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
