@Magog the Ogre: What problem are you seeing? As far as I can see, that file has a perfectly valid OTRS permission and license ({{Attribution}}) in a custom template that many other files are using. It's not clear to me what is wrong with this file. darkweasel94 12:02, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

Hochaus Neue Donau Vienna from SW on 2014-08-25.jpg

Hallo Darkweasel! Zu deinem Revert vom Löschen der Kategorie. Von diesem Photo (und vielen meiner Photos) gibt es jeweils eine PNG Version, die das Original ist (Archival version). Wenn nun alle Kategorien sowohl beim PNG als auch beim JPG angegeben werden, tauchen diese Photos immer zwei mal in den Kategorieübersichten auf. Ich hab jetzt mal die Kategorien bei den JPG Versionen weggenommen, da diese ja ohnehin bei den PNG versionen korrekt vermerkt sind. Sollte das nicht so gewünscht sein, auch OK. Ich fände es halt besser wenn die Kategorien nur bei einer Version (der Archival version) eingetragen werden, da das unnötiges doppeltes Eintragen der Kategorien vermeidet, und das doppelte Aufscheinen in diversen Kategorien vermeidet. Hallo! Ich bin eher der Meinung, dass alle Versionen kategorisiert werden sollten, einfach weil einer der Zwecke von Kategorien ist, in halbwegs maschinenlesbarer Form zu erklären, was das Bild denn zeigt, und auch damit man in der Kategorie eben sieht, was es alles gibt. Es ist mir aber nicht so wichtig, daher habe ich meine Bearbeitung auch wieder zurückgenommen, nachdem ich gesehen habe, dass das offenbar einen Grund hatte. Ich denke nicht, dass das für COM:L reicht. Wir brauchen auch eine ausdrückliche Freigabe für beliebige Zwecke (nicht nur Pressezwecke, sondern auch zB gewerbliche Zwecke), und vor allem auch eine Freigabe zur Weiterverwendung in veränderter Form – davon ist im zitierten Text überhaupt nicht die Rede. Aber du kannst ja dem Verfahren auf COM:OTRS folgen und so nach einer Freigabe bitten. darkweasel94 15:49, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Bei US-Politikern gibt es doch auch offizielle Kampagnen-Fotos, wieso sollte das bei der Irmgard-Griss Kampagne anders sein ? Die Fotos sind doch offiziell von ihrer Kampagne zur Publizierung freigegeben ... --The Pollster (talk) 19:09, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
In den USA sind Werke der Bundesregierung gemeinfrei ({{PD-USGov}}). Wenn jemand dort schon ein bundespolitisches Amt innehat, gibt es von ihm normalerweise ein solches Foto, z.B. File:Bernie Sanders.jpg oder File:Rand Paul, official portrait, 112th Congress alternate.jpg, beides dortige Senatoren. Das sind aber keine Kampagnenfotos und in Österreich gibt es auch keine solchen Regelungen. Das Problem ist, dass das auf der Griss-Website einfach zu vage formuliert ist. Die Fotos sind unter "Presse" eingeordnet, d.h. für Presseerzeugnisse im weitesten Sinne dürfen sie sicher verwendet werden. Aber auch in veränderter Form? Darf ich sie auch auf Kaffeehäferln drucken und diese verkaufen? So etwas ist einfach ohne Erwähnung entweder einer konkreten Lizenz oder konkret "für jeden Zweck, auch in veränderter Form" (in dem Fall wäre es sowas wie {{Copyrighted free use}}) nicht genug. Vielleicht ist eh etwas gemeint, das COM:L entspricht, aber wir können es aufgrund dessen, was da steht, nicht annehmen (siehe COM:PRP). Wenn es gelöscht wird (ich bin kein Administrator, ich habe es nur markiert) und dann eine bessere Lizenz nachkommt (entweder per E-Mail, siehe COM:OTRS, oder auf der Website), kann es wiederhergestellt werden.
Vorschlag: Du kannst eine E-Mail an das Team schreiben, ob sie bereit sind, das Bild unter cc-by-4.0 oder sogar cc0 (da ist keine Namensnennung notwendig) zu stellen. Wenn das auf der Website steht oder COM:OTRS eine E-Mail bekommt, in der das steht, dann können wir das Bild behalten. darkweasel94 19:28, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Category:Favoritenstraße, Vienna

Hallo Darkweasel94, bei den ersten paar Bildern in Category:Favoritenstraße, Vienna mit dem Figurenschmuck auf den Dächern werde ich aus der Beschreibung nicht schlau. Auch die Beschreibung im Dateinamen hilft nicht weiter. Hast du eine Idee, um welche Gebäude es sich handelt? Ich habe ehrlich gesagt heute auch überhaupt keine Ahnung mehr, wie ich damals vor dreieinhalb Jahren auf die Favoritenstraße gekommen bin – im Quellthread im Tramwayforum habe ich nirgends eine Referenz auf die Favoritenstraße gefunden. Wie gesagt, keine Ahnung, wieso ich das damals gedacht habe, und ich weiß jedenfalls fast nirgends irgendetwas über diese Bilder, was nicht auch im Tramwayforum steht.
Hast du dir den Quellthread schon angeschaut? Eventuell hilft er dir weiter, z.B. steht File:145L20060386 Stadt, Fassaden, Details, Figuren.jpg hier im Kontext zwischen einem Bild vom Kohlmarkt und einem vom Neuen Markt (die jeweils davor/danach nummeriert sind und am gleichen Tag aufgenommen wurden, wie man im Dateinamen sieht), ich vermute also, dass das irgendwo im ersten Bezirk aufgenommen wurde. Oder du kannst auch versuchen, das Bild in der alphabetischen Reihung in Category:Images by TARS631 at tramwayforum.at zu finden, da sollten die Bilder einigermaßen chronologisch sortiert sein. Eventuell kann ich später da auch ein bisschen Detektivarbeit leisten, aber ich weiß auch nicht, wie gut meine Ortskenntnis ist.
Favoritenstraße scheint jedenfalls ein Blödsinn zu sein, ich weiß wirklich nicht, wieso ich die so kategorisiert habe und es tut mir Leid, dass du jetzt unnötigerweise dort gesucht hast. lg darkweasel94 11:25, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Hallo darkweasel und Herzi Pinki,
habe das hier zufällig gelesen und bin neugierig geworden. Ein paar der Motive konnte ich identifizieren:
Das mit dem hochgehaltenen Brief (auch hier) gehört zur alten Zentrale der Post- und Telegraphenverwaltung am Börseplatz, also in die Category:Telegrafenzentrale, Vienna.
Das mit der großen Krone ist am Dach des de:Palais Erzherzog Albrecht (Albertina) zu finden (mittlerweile restauriert und wieder vergoldet), auf der dem Burggarten zugewandten Seite, und nun hier in der Category:Palais Erzherzog Albrecht.
Der Neptun (oder Triton?) mit den vier Hippocampen befindet sich auf der Wiener Börse bzw. nun auch in der Category:Vienna Stock Exchange building.

Non-Austrian pictures

With amusement I noticed that two of my uploads, File:Evansville Sacred Heart School.jpg and File:Franklin Avenue, Sacred Heart Church in Evansville.jpg, were featured on two of your bot-generated userpage galleries, User:Darkweasel94/Vienna/2016 April 11-20 and User:Darkweasel94/Transport in Austria/2016 April 11-20 (in both cases, at the end of the April 11 section). I was just curious if you could imagine why they ended up there; both are from the central USA, and neither one is in any Vienna-related or Austria-related categories. And thus they ended up in bot-generated categories for both "Vienna" and "Transport in Austria". Makes perfect sense! Thanks for the work! I don't believe that Five Holy Wounds should be a subcategory of Holy Lance, so I've removed that link; while the two are related, only one of the five was related to the lance. Oh no, you won't get worldwide churches anymore :-) Nyttend (talk) 11:13, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Piktogramm der ÖBB

Hallo! Ob das Zeichen irgendeine offizielle Bezeichnung hat, weiß ich nicht. (An ÖBB-Experten fallen mir eher User:Linie29 oder User:Mö1997 ein, nicht so sehr ich.) Meines Erachtens soll es darauf hinweisen, hinter der gelben/weißen Linie zu bleiben, aber mehr als das kann ich auch nicht sagen. darkweasel94 16:04, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

Wenn man sich das genannte Piktogramm und dieses hier genauer anschaut, sieht man genau über der Sicherheitslinie befindet sich ein Dreieck mit einem Rufzeichen, demnach heißt es pass auf die Sicherheitslinie auf. Auf der ÖBB Infra-Seite findet man einen Folder über Sicherheit und auf der Seite 6 ist es genau beschrieben. Es mir jetzt zwar 1/4 bis halbe Stunde Recherchezeit gedauert, dafür sind wir alle ein kleines Stück schlauer. ;-) Mö1997 (Questions ?!?!) 19:17, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

@Aschroet: Eventuell magst du dich diesfalls mit User:Reinhard Kraasch in Verbindung setzen; er hat damals bei den ersten Fotos, die ich aus dieser Quelle hochgeladen habe, dasselbe gemacht, offenbar automatisiert, und dabei auch Fälle berücksichtigt, wo Tag oder Monat fehlen. Zahlreiche Straßenbahnfotos

Hallo Darkweasel, du bist da der Fachmann. deshalb ersuche ich dich um deine Hilfe. Ich habe die beiden Category:Traiskirchen tram depot und Category:Remise und Stadtverkehrsmuseum Mödling hochgeladen. Kannst du da bitte bei der weiteren Kategorisierung helfen, da ich oft nicht die deutschen Fachausdrücke kenne, geschweige denn die englische ;-) --danke im Voraus K@rl (talk) 09:08, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

Hallo Karl, danke für die Fotos; ich habe einmal damit angefangen, bin aber auch nicht allwissend. Allgemein wäre es hilfreich, wenn ich wüsste, welche Fotos jedenfalls dasselbe Fahrzeug zeigen. Ich bin beispielsweise jetzt einmal davon ausgegangen, dass File:WTM-Museumsdepot-TdD2016 7748.JPG und File:WTM-Museumsdepot-TdD2016 7747.JPG denselben Wagen zeigen (auf letzterem ist die Wagennummer zu erkennen, daher weiß ich, worum es sich handelt). Aber da ich nicht dort war, weiß ich solche Dinge halt nicht sicher und kann bei solchen Fotos wie File:WTM-Museumsdepot-TdD2016 7749.JPG, wo ich keinen Anhaltspunkt habe, zwischen welchen Wagen du da die Verbindung fotografiert hast, auch nicht viel kategorisieren. Dazu noch eine Frage: Wie nennt man die Liniennummer auf den Waggons. Sind Liniensignal oder Routensignalnummer oder ähnlich. Ich habe es schongewusst, aber halt verdrängt. Vergessen muss man ja nicht dazusagen ;-) --K@rl (talk)
