An attempt do decide what other users should work on is highly non-cooperetive IMO. We are all volunteers and work in the fields we wish to. Rules concerning OTRS tickets processing are not established by Wikimedia Commons community and, in particular, not by Wikimedia Commons administrators. As well as it is not OTRS members role to decide whether a particular image is in Wikimedia Commons scope or which one shold be used in a Wikipedia article.

Militära dekorationer brukar i allmänhet formges av en konstnär och i så fall behöver man veta vem konstnären är och om den personen har varit avliden i 70 år. Dear Mr Thuresson, dekoration som du hänvisar är en enkel bit papper som utfärdats av kommittén för National Liberation, säkert utarbetats av en obskyr kontorist några typografi av några av norra italienska staden, efter befrielsen från ockupationen tyska. Formuläret är inte viktigt, men innehållet i det dokument som kunde ha skrivits på ett pappersark. Glöm inte att i slutet av kriget hade problem att överleva och ingen var intresserad av att titta efter en artist att skriva en dekoration för en hjälte av motståndet. Det är synd att du inte vet italienska, läs att det är ett enkelt erkännande av militärt värde, inget annat, av vilket minst 266 637 exemplar har skrivits ut. Försök att föreställa dig hur världen var som 1946. Våra fäder var lite mer konkreta än vi är idag, och de sökte verkligen ingen konstnär för en bit papperspapper, de hade några överlevnadsproblem vid den tiden. Hello, can you make a little notification in an appropriate place in this wikipedia for me? by tidying up Commons categories and Wikidata I found sv:Brokormstjärnor and sv:Ophiothrichidae both articles are the same topic, but the speeling of sv:Ophiothrichidae is wrong and the source that was used is now also fixed [26], I ask because some BOTs created corresponding item Ophiothrichidae (Q3543123) and that finally is potentially disturbing for us via {{Wikidata Infobox}}. Hello! In this edit you reviewed a license for an image, but the site-parameter in the template LicenseReview links to a page that does not contain the image in question. It's regrettable that I mixed up the license review with this photo: File:Sebastian Eriksson & Andréas Eriksson 2012-07-03 001.jpg. In 2016 I reviewed hundreds of photos uploaded from Mynewsdesk but the web site has apparently made a few changes regarding its licensing since then. One recent example is Commons:Deletion requests/File:Magnus Uggla 2013-06-14.jpg.

On the web page here, you can see that the license for this particular photo of Sarah Dawn Finer is CC-BY-SA-3.0 (you will have to scroll down past a lot of photos, then hover the mouse pointer over the license). Thuresson (talk) 20:38, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Can you (or another admin or template editor) edit this template. The law referred to, is "Lov om opphavsrett til åndsverk m.v." (åndsverkloven) of 1961 https://lovdata.no/dokument/NLO/lov/1961-05-12-2/ which has been repealed and replaced by LOV-2018-06-15-40 Lov om opphavsrett til åndsverk mv. (åndsverkloven) https://lovdata.no/dokument/NL/lov/2018-06-15-40.

The content in the § referred to in the template (§9) in the old law of 1961 is now found in §14 of the new law from 2018. The text is almost identical but appears to be updated to contemporary Norwegian.

The content referred to from §1 seems to have been moved to §2 in the new law.

The text cited in works of the government, comes from Law 13714 from 1961, this law was repealed by Legislative Decree No. 822, (published on 24 April 1996), implies that what is written in works of the government is not valid, there is some exception but nothing about whats is written in works of the government. In the current legislative decree nothing is mentioned regarding Works of "legal entities", like Government, municipalities, and organizations.

It is not acceptable that foreigners make inferences, conclusions, and write about Peruvian laws, thus generating confusion. If it has to be discussed, it will be among Peruvians, if necessary we will ask the government institution to pronounce on the issue, meanwhile, that text must be deleted. Peruvians are independent since 1821.

Proper licensing Issue

Hello Wikimedia friend,

I hope this finds you and yours well. I was wondering if I could possibly ask for your kind attention to a request. I am a new contributor to Wiki commons. Would you please clarify for me what kind of licensing code and/or attribution is/are needed to apply to the Legal Information | The Bahá’í Faith (bahai.org) specified by the Media Bank on bahai.org?

On 20 January, 2021 as soon as I noticed the 'notification for deletion', I rushed to check and correct the licensing issues on every photo below. I thought by changing the code from {{cc-by-sa-4-0}} to {{cc-by-4.0}} and adding the name of the rights holder "Copyright © Bahá'í International Community" there would be no issues. I am not sure why it did not work, and the photos were all deleted the next day, thus I am requesting your help. Please advise how I can correct this situation. Thank you.

After the months-long policy consultation, we have prepared a policy (available in many languages) that has been ratified by the Board of Trustees. We’re currently in the second phase of the process. During this round of consultation, we want to discuss the implementation of this policy. As a member of the functionary team of Wikimedia Commons, your opinion on enforcement is of great value. We want to hear from you on how this policy can be enforced on the Wikimedia Commons community and what might be needed to do so. Unknown author and: According to the Green House in Vilnius, this photo was part of a package of photos sent to the US for the trials of Nazis after the war; -So it was published between 1926 and 1977 in the states without copyright notice. Jag som är fotografen som tagit dessa bilder på Jan Eliasson vill att du tar bort dessa från Wikimedia Commoms. Om du tittar på sidan som ligger under SOURCE https://www.mynewsdesk.com/se/wateraidsverige/images/jan-eliasson-ordfoerande-i-wateraid-sveriges-styrelse-45954 ser du att det finns ett OBS! där. "OBS! Bilderna upphör som pressbilder den sista augusti 2012 och får då inte längre användas fritt." Hade vi köpt bilderna av en fotograf kunde detta ha drabbat oss hårt då den kunde kräva mycket betalt av oss för att de sprids så här nu.

Att bilderna ligger under Creative Commons licens var för att jag var tvungen att välja något och vi ville inte att det skulle står copyrighted här för då skulle ingen våga använda. Testat det förut och det ger bara en massa frågor. Jobbar inte längre på WaterAid så jag kommer inte åt att ändra till copyrighted men jag är ändå fotografen bakom plus att jag nu förklarat för dig samt visat disclaimern som legat på sidan sedan 2013 när jag slutade på WaterAid. "OBS! Bilderna upphör som pressbilder den sista augusti 2012 och får då inte längre användas fritt."

Kan du vara vänlig att ta bort samtliga bilder? Det handlar inte om att jag vill tjäna en massa pengar på detta men jag vill ändå ha en viss kontroll över mina alster PLUS att jag känner Jan Eliasson och han skulle inte vilja ha dessa vind för våg över internet.

Absolut det vet jag men nu när ni vet att det inte var syftet har ni valet att inte tillhandahålla bilden till alla i fortsättningen. de som redan har den kan så klart använda den men att ni fortsätter distribuera den trots att ni vet att det inte var min vilja eller avsikten känns inte hänsynsfullt. Vet dessutom att Jan själv inte skulle uppskatta detta så vänligen ta bort den även om du paragrafmässigt har rätt. Please undelete this file and restore it to the Beth Anderson page. This file is entirely my own work and my wikimedia user page clearly identifies my legal name in addition to my wikipedia editing name. This issue has been discussed previously and I have properly identified myself on the wikimedia user page for this reason. My history of edits are always done as a logged in user and my account is clearly under my legal name. I have no history of editing violations so I'm not sure why this was done completely without consultation or scrutiny of my pages.

How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

I am messaging you because a contest for a sound logo for Wikimedia is being developed and your opinion as a Wikimedia Commons admin is appreciated. Your recent closure of an undeletion request

You recently closed a deletion request of mine with the reason, "Not done, no consensus to undelete. This matter should probably best be discussed further at Template talk:PD-RU-exempt with references to case law, relevant court cases and links to articles by legal experts in this field."

For one, idk how you could say there wasn't a consensus to undelete considering the only people who commented in that convo before you closed it were the original disputers, nobody else outside the original deletion request said anything. I would've expected the thread to at least allow some level of discussion on the matter by people outside the original deletion request before being closed. Otherwise by that logic, nearly every undeletion request could be closed if the people who originally deleted it decided to comment again and say "no".

And most importantly, even if we accept your reasoning (that there is no consensus to undelete) that would mean there was no consensus delete the file in the first place as the debate on whether the file was covered by PD-RU-exempt should've (and in my opinion did, as they were unable to provide proof that it wasn't covered) gotten clarified in the original deletion request (which in this case was closed prematurely for reasons I explained in the undeletion request). So unless I'm mistaken, the only logical conclusion for the undeletion request seems to be to restore the file as there was not enough evidence provided to warrant a deletion, seeing as those supporting its deletion failed to provide any evidence for their position. This can be confirmed via the quick snippets I provided in the undeletion request thread, or by going over the entire original deletion request thread that was linked. OK...no offense but that's a non-answer and doesn't change what I've said above (and for the record the last entry was on August 5th not the 4th). You simply closed the request without making an actual determination based on the provided evidence (or lack thereof in their case). You didn't even allow a basic level of discourse on the matter to occur, so I don't see how you can say the "discussion came to a close" when it didn't even start. Furthermore, as I made clear from the start the entire point of the undeletion request was not to argue copyright law but rather to get another admin to resolve this issue of the refrenced offending admin (from the original deletion request) choosing to delete the file based off of their personal opinion rather than the uncontroversial conclusion the deletion request (who's purpose WAS to argue this copyright issue) came to. Honestly, my initial message on the undeletion request explains exactly this so it's making me wonder whether or not you even read any of it before making this decision (which would be disturbing because that means you have no interest in actually assisting in this matter and simply closed it to clear out space on the undeletion page). Do you intend on resolving this matter or no? My guess is no based on the lack of response, if so then a day after this message is posted I will be restoring the file as per: the conclusion of the original deletion request, your logic (that no consensus was reached regarding the file's status, making its deletion invalid as explained above), and the lack of opposition by any other admin on the site.

If you want me to take a different course of action please respond within this timeframe, otherwise I see little reason not to follow through on my decision considering the circumstances behind the image's deletion (as explained several times now, both in the original undeletion thread and the above messages). If you're implying that my responses thus far constituted such "filibustering", idk what to tell you as the content of said messages are self-explanatory, all on topic, and most are not particularly long. If that's not what you intended to imply, then apologies for misinterpreting.

Also, do you have any recommendations on what to do/who to contact should the same offending admin choose to delete the file again for the same reason with no further explanation? I just want to avoid getting into what equates to an edit war over this (and possibly risk a ban by said admin) and simply reposting another undeletion request seems repetitive and unlikely to address the admin abuse.
