Please do not upload files and label them as your "own work" if they are not actually your own work[edit]

Anyone responsible for the graphic design of a football ticket from 1937 is almost certain to be dead as of 2021. Thus, File:Ticket from inaugural game at Roesch Memorial Stadium in Buffalo, October 1937.jpg is not your "own work", regardless of whether you may have photographed or scanned the image. Please see Commons:2D copying for further information.

Similarly, File:OffermannStadium.jpg is not your own work, regardless of whether you may have photographed or scanned the image, because you almost certainly did not take the photograph yourself (the building was demolished 60 years ago). The copyright continues to be owned by the photographer until 95 years after its publication. Unless you can prove that the photograph was taken before January 1, 1926, it will have to be deleted. If it was indeed taken before that date, then it falls into the public domain and can remain on Commons, but you still can't claim it as your own work.

On creating new categories[edit]

Hello again. The general rule on Commons is not to create a new category until there is a substantial number of items that belong in the category. Two is a rather low number, but as it happens, I attended a Buffalo Bisons game last weekend and plan to attend another this coming weekend, and will be uploading photos from both shortly, so it won't be necessary to delete Category:Sahlen Field in 2022. However, I did realize that I may not have fully articulated my reasoning behind deleting Category:Coca-Cola Field in 2011, Category:Coca-Cola Field in 2014 and Category:Coca-Cola Field in 2016.

Also, when creating new categories please be vigilant about the preexisting categorization of whatever files you may place in it. For instance, Category:2022 in downtown Buffalo, New York is now a subcategory of Category:2022 in downtown Buffalo, New York, so Category:Syracuse Mets at Buffalo Bisons (17 May 2022) and Category:Worcester Red Sox at Buffalo Bisons (31 July 2022) should have been removed from the latter upon the former's creation.
