Apocalypse‎[edit]

Why did you eliminate Category:Bible? It's a short way to find pictures, even when you do'nt know, in which part of the Bible you have to look for, or even if you do'nt know at all, that the book is part of the Bible. I beg you to remove it. Warburg

sorry it seems to me trivial, but not useful. This kind of "short ways" seems as a kind of arbitrariness. The categories make a general and step by step working and a good overwiev. Mountains in heraldry[edit]

Image:Wappen Barneberg.png - its a simply heraldic form (Berg' from Barneberg) that we can find in thousands of coats of arms (Schildfuß). The mountains are far away from Barneberg :-) regards Geograv 17:59, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moon or crescent?[edit]

Good evening,

You replaced the category Moon in heraldry with Crescents in heraldry on the Armentières's coat of arms. A crescent is a geometrical shape and not necessarily a moon, and the blazon clearly stipulates that this charge must be a moon, so I think your correction is not relevant.

At the most you can add the second category if you like, but do not delete the first one. Please.

Category:T in heraldry[edit]

Hi,
The coat of arms that you categorized in Category:T in heraldry don't show the letter T, but a tau. Thus they don't have to be in this category. You can create the category Category:Tau in heraldry if it pleases you, but this category should be better placed in Category:Crosses in heraldry than in Category:Letters in heraldry). The names or heraldic figures are accurately defined. The image above show clearly a T (I don't know if it is right, since the blazon is not said). The blazon of the other coat of arms mentions a tau, not a T ; and a tau is drawn, not a T.

It is not only about latin vs greek letters. The tau is regarded as a cross (see tau), the Saint Anthony's cross.

Moreover, latin names of letters and greek ones are not uses in same way. Did you ever heard the "Nile D" for the "Nile delta" :-)
