You have two understand. Jeff. You are from I. You are our brother, that is the whole reason this design is created - for peace. The current file image is correct. The previous people who tried to alter it are the people vandalizing the original design which government. I am a Gambian Talking Oraaw (talk) 00:29, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Government use the correct current design, not the altered version Oraaw (talk) 00:31, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What proof do you offer?   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 01:07, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The changed version was based on a depiction of the coat of arms as used by an official source in the government itself. The source is linked in the file description. As mentioned by Fenn below, governments sometimes end up using Wikimedia files, and they sometimes end up rather different from what was originally intended in legislation or grants of arms. The updated version is correct heraldically, and I would say artistically superior, as well as coming from an official source. As heraldry allows for artistic flexibility, many different images may be in official use in the same time. Here's an example of the coat of arms depicted in the parliament of Gambia which looks completely different from anything found online: link. You being from somewhere is not enough of a reason, and so far all the sources are not in your favor. — Dughorm (talk) 08:06, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am a Gambian. Do you understand my username. O-r-aaw-u should understand. I am from a particular tribe in the Gambia that is part of Yoruba from Nigeria that do acknowledge you as our brother. That is why there is even jewish writing. When I say you are from I and are our brother, that means you are good also. Only a certain few acknowledge you as our brother. Even though it is the truth. It is this that I am part of the original author. Oraaw (talk) 01:23, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The original author that created the design. I am part. Oraaw (talk) 01:25, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately it's very common for governments and other officials to end up using files from Wikimedia because they're easily available, even if the designs used here are incorrect to the originally created design. I reckon the versions you're referring to have originated from Wikimedia before I corrected the file based on the version made in 1964. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 04:23, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This new version can not be a resepentstion. Because it is false. I have been really trying to be nice to you..the original version was not created be Wikipedia. But a actual man. Oraaw (talk) 08:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not created by Wikipedia. It just happened the default author on here is 'fenn-o-manic' I have tried to put the original authors name Oraaw (talk) 08:18, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are trying to say Wikipedia created the original design. That is false. You have two understand. I know the actual original author name Oraaw (talk) 08:22, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am really trying to be nice to you. So, the fact is - the current design I reverted back again is what is used with government. Oraaw (talk) 08:26, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The author shown in the file description is me because I uploaded the original vectorised design here back in 2013. I haven't been able to find any sources that indicate the original creator of the 1964 coat of arms but if any surface the creator can be added to the description. Regardless the point still stands that the version I uploaded here in 2013 was based on insufficient source images thus making the 2013 version inadequate and now that better images of the original 1964 design are available the file should also use the original design rather than the 2013 one. I believe the official bodies of Gambia are using images based on the 2013 version because it has been easily available up until now when as the 1964 version has not. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 08:31, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are somewhere trying to lie and say Wikipedia created the original. That is akin to trying to say I am from you. When that false beyond comprehension. You are from I brother. I live here in The Gambia. I know the original author. I have tried to put his name but Wikipedia default author name is fenn-o-manic Oraaw (talk) 08:41, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The file description by default shows the user who uploaded the *file* as the author. If you have any sources, websites or books etc., that indicate the original creator of the coat of arms feel free to share them and the file information can be changed. --Fenn-O-maniC (talk) 08:44, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a file source, that wikipedia would deem valid to change the source file authors name. I know the original author personally. He lives in Senegal now. I have tried to put the name Oraaw (talk) 08:55, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Is the name of the designer Nicholas Potin? He's already mentioned on the Wikipedia article on the coat of arms of Gambia. Also, please stop reverting files because you believe they are correct without solid proof. Just being from somewhere is not enough to be right about something, while the opposing view has a source linking to the official website of the Gambian government. — Dughorm (talk) 09:07, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have two understand. I have told you precisely what the meaning of the original design religious symbolism. It was created for peace Oraaw (talk) 08:59, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, it is not nicholas potin. That is the problem with you brother. That is why many do not acknowledge you as our brother because you lie to much. You try to take credit for everything. Oraaw (talk) 09:15, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That is also the reason satan is written as you..who whats to say satan is my brother? Oraaw (talk) 09:21, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But the original design was trying to dispell that. I an part that is trying to acknowledge as good also, but you surely proving wrong Oraaw (talk) 09:23, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
