Gotland[edit]

//Mr Bullitt (talk) 16:58, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Britt Ekland and Peter Sellers 1964.jpg[edit]

At a current Peer Review for Peter Sellers, the following question was asked about this image: "This needs a tag explaining why it is in the public domain in the US. If it is not, it should be deleted from Commons." Is there something you could add to the image - and associated cropped image File:Britt Ekland and Peter Sellers 1964 crop.jpg - that would ensure it is not deleted? Research request regarding Sunbelt[edit]

Dear Mr Bullitt,

I am a postgraduate student in the UK researching the history of the Sunbelt and I am attempting to track the provenance of the Sunbelt map as appears on Wikipedia. Is it possible for you to shed any light on how it was drawn, i.e. how certain areas were included? I have contacted the Library cited as its source and they will only lay claim to the base.

Thank you very much for taking the time, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Andy

HMS Gävle picture[edit]

Sir, I was browsing through the Swedish Navy articles and noticed something a bit strange about the photo for the Götenborg-class - it looked like the ship was doubled! I wrote about it on the picture's talk page (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_talk:HMS_G%C3%A4vle.JPG) and then noticed my mistake, that the picture actually depicts two Götenborgs tied up side-by-side. Since the image is not mine & I am certainly no expert (I was in the US Marines and spent some time at sea, so I know the basics of ship identification but nothing more) I am hesitant to change the description of the image or any pages on which it is present. If you could advise me on the best course of action, I would greatly appreciate it! Gh05t (talk) 05:08, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
