I suppose, that the yellow and the bright purple plant in the foreground are Dactylorhiza sambucina, in swedish named "Adam och Eva". The plants in the background: Perhaps Orchis morio Göknycklar?? I don't know it exactly. Greeting Orchi 20:03, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars images[edit]

Hi, I've had to delete many of your uploads. Some where screenshots of Star Wars movies and so are copyrighted. Most of the others were clear derivative works from the Star Wars and as such are not usable on the Commons. I can't restore the images from the exhibition either. Yes, you may have been the photographer but those images are derivative works of the Star Wars franchise. For example a image of a Darth Vader statue has two copyrights, yours for the photo and Lucasfilm for the actual figure.--Nilfanion 13:38, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

I noticed you had a lot of pictures of my birth city of Riga. Unfortunately I had not seen this beautiful city since childhood when I moved away. I was wondering if you can help me find the location and proper spelling of the street I used to reside on so that at least I would be able to find it on a map. Ofcourse if at all possible I would ask you to maybe even go and photograph the street but thats more wishful thinking. Anyway back to topic, can you locate "kalupes"? Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Den 1 september inleds 2022 års svenska deltävling av Wiki Loves Monuments, där det skulle vara väldigt roligt om du ville vara med och delta! Målet med Wiki Loves Monuments är att fotografera svenska kulturarvsmonument. De kategorier som ingår är byggnadsminnen, fornminnen, kulturmärkta fartyg och fritidsbåtar och arbetslivsmuseer – och du är välkommen att bidra med bilder hela september.

Som vanligt ingår naturreservat och nationalparker, biosfärområden och naturminnen i tävlingen! Nytt för i år är att vi utöver bästa foto även belönar fotograferande av tidigare ofotograferade objekt samt bästa bildserie om minst tio fotografier av samma objekt. Tävlingen börjar 1 maj, och pågår under hela maj månad. Norway muncipality map[edit]

Do you have on hand a link to the vector file used for this map here? I am trying to find a cleaner clipped version of a Norway muncipality map like yours but alas on GeoNorge on the files seem to only have non-clipped versions. Apologizes for the late answer - I am not that active here nowadays. I think I used the geodatabase-files of the N1000 or N250 maps from Kartverket. I deleted the files on my computer, so I'm not sure what I used. Hope you will manage anyway! /moralist (talk) 15:49, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
