thanks for the Caceres-hiedra-gargola.jpg filename change, it is, I'm afraid one of several wrongly named files that I uploaded. They are all properly documented and categorized, yet all these filenames have the wrong city nameː

Rename request

Renaming

I respectfully disagree with this renaming you've proceeded with. To start, the picture's context is not entirely clear and does not particularly seem to me the tiger is being "teased" with a stick. It might just be grass or something like that. I was in fact declining the request when I noticed you completed it. Some time has passed and since the requesting user seems to me like it's problematic, I've decided to message you so that you can handle these requests with a grain of salt. Best not to rename wikilovesmonuments files

Hi. I'm trying to unpick an issue with UK wikilovesmonuments. You renamed (on request) a file which should not have been renamed as it included the name of the building on the statutory list. You renamed it to something which is misleading. File:City of Westminster - Archway To Eaton Mews South - 20230912222416.jpg the entry is North not South. Yes there are tow entries called North, this is because we didn't import it properly - Historic England has the house numbers too which differentiates them. It's really best to keep the names of files uploaded from monumental the same, unless we can see it's the wrong building. Secretlondon (talk) 12:00, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Renamings to misspellings

Hi, why exactly you rename files to misspellings? File:Flerida Guevara.jpg Lozada.jpg as File:Carlos Ortega Alvarez.jpg were renamed by you to lowercase letters. However, names are always written in capital letters. So what sense does it make to postpone something like that instead of correcting these mistakes yourself? 다른 지자체 기의 사례를 보더라도 경기도(File:Flag of Gyeonggi Province (2006–2021).svg / File:Flag of Gyeonggi Province.svg), 전라북도(File:Flag of North Jeolla Province (1997–2009).svg / File:Flag of North Jeolla Province.svg), 충청남도(File:Flag of South Chungcheong Province (1998–2012).svg / File:Flag of South Chungcheong Province.svg), 춘천시(File:Flag of Chuncheon (1995-2020).svg / File:Flag of Chuncheon.svg) 등의 사례와 같이 과거 사용 도안에 사용 기간을 식별자로 붙이고, 현행 도안에는 식별자 없이 사용하는 방안이 일반적인 것으로 보입니다. 따라서 통일성 유지 차원에서 충청북도도 이와 같은 방식으로 유지하는 것이 낫지 않을까요? Such and such renamings are forbidden by Commons rules (COM:FRNOT, p.2). It is not error. It was name in other language. Please do not make such renames more. I see, it is not first warning for you. Rename was done incorrectly, and on the wrong photo.

Hey LR. I do appreciate your help, but it was inadvertently miscalculated. I'll try to explain simply.

I upload a photograph of 3 actors: George Chakiris, Yvette Mimieux, and James Darren. I cropped that photo to a close-up only containing George's face, because he's an Oscar winner and I needed a good picture to represent him on Wiki.

But I made two consecutive mistakes.

1) On the "3 actors picture"...THIS was supposed to be the photo with name alteration: Click Here for the Page

• The file title was: (LR) George Chakiris, Yvette Mimieux, & James Darren - "Diamond Head" (1962) promotional photo (cropped).jpg
• I requested a move: (LtoR) George Chakiris, Yvette Mimieux, & James Darren - "Diamond Head" (1962) promotional photo (cropped).jpg

Yes, this file with the three people...Please rename this one ^^^ as the (LtoR)...

2) On the "crop of George's face"...I meant to remove James's and Yvette's names, so that only George's name was in the file. After all, only his face was in the ~crop~ itself. But I clicked save too swiftly. And thus, instead of just being patient, I cropped yet again. This is the first crop, with the long filename: See here for that page

3) I nominated that image for speedy deletion, due to the filename without thinking about renaming IT as well, or having just waited a bit.

4) On the "second crop with the short file name", I chose to title that crop "Chakiris Diamond Head promo squared crop". Same dimensions as the other one.

And then, here's what happened....

You came by for my rename request. But instead of renaming the original file with the 3 actors. you selected the second crop file for some reason??

So now THIS PICTURE HERE (click this link) is the one that has the "rename", albeit on the wrong photograph.

(Note that I have a new active request on that photo, along with this same basic explanation.)

Now, this cropped photograph needs to be renamed Chakiris "Diamond Head" (1962) promo squared crop. And the original one needs the whole (LtoR)... sentence.

PLEASE help me by fixing all of this hot mess. Shoulda just left the (LR) thing alone. Cinemaniac86 (talk) 11:16, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Move of file with open speed deletion request

You moved File:Taichi "Tai" Kamiya cosplayer wearing a Patamon plushie on his head at the 2016 Fan Expo Canada (IMG 0174) (cropped).jpg what had a speedy deletion request with criterion G7 open. Did you not see the wrongly placed deletion request or do I not see that there is something with the file and the request?
