Please see the deletion discussion. Thanks for helping out hunting down copyright violations on Commons, but in this case it's the other way around. Multichill (talk) 17:19, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello,

Sorry I am new to Wikipedia Commons and the images for the Clifton School Logo, they are a mistake and I need them to be deleted as soon as possible. If you can delete them for me all of them or tell me how to delete them.

Thanks,

Joe Parkinson (talk) 20:49, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Added permission[edit]

I've added the permission for the image: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bird%27s-eye_view_example.png

BadSVG are not duplicate[edit]

I am not comfortable speedy deleting .svg files as {{Duplicate}}, it doesn't fall within the scope. I would prefer that you batch them for a normal deletion, and have them listed as bad, and have a community discussion. That whole space around png->svg, redundant, bad SVG, etc. is a bit of a minefield and one where people are always free to complain (sometimes vigorously) about actions especially where speedy, so back to the community they go (until there is an update by the community to the policy). Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:50, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kolenwasserij Beringen[edit]

Hi,

For this one I've got the permission of Jonny Vekemans himself. If you don't believe me, you can ask himself: jonny.vekemans@hotmail.com

Regards, Tom

You need to follow the instructions at COM:OTRS in that case. Jackmcbarn (talk) 20:05, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fukuoka Coal[edit]

I've read their Terms and conditions of use well through. I don't feel that using one of their maps would give a problem:

All the maps are protected by copyright.

They are free for any use, even commercial, in the following conditions:

- The exact URL where the original map comes from must be mentioned - The number of used maps is limited to 10 for a publication (Web, DVD, book…) - The number of used maps is unlimited with BeGraphic GIS use.

For any additional details or particular asks, please contact us: webmasterd-maps.com

Replied on the file's talk page. Jackmcbarn (talk) 20:05, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop marking all my screenshots and logos as copyright violations![edit]

That's all I have to say to you. I'm quite peeved off now. Stop marking all my images as copyright violations. KamranMackey (talk) 03:24, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@KamranMackey: As far as I know, they are copyright violations, so no, I won't stop marking them as such. If they're not copyright violations, explain why not. Jackmcbarn (talk) 03:26, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear on what you're asking me to do[edit]

The photos were substandard, but already on Wikipedia. All I did was clean them up. One of them had been uploaded with French CCE permissions, as well as CC 2.0 for France. I was definitely confused about how to do what I was trying to do, but I want to use the article in a PediaPress book and I could tell it was not going to be clear w/o some help. You tell me. What should I do?

Very similar situation with the other pic, except the permissions were clear. (CC 3.0) I tried various solutions for both pics, but the Wiki program did not like what I was doing, so I tried a work around. I think there must be a simple solution. Permissions were in order, it's a platform issue, as far as I can see, or if you like operator issues. --Kkhemet (talk) 05:44, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Kkhemet: If the files are modified versions of ones that are already uploaded here, you should link to the original file in the description. Jackmcbarn (talk) 15:28, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your VFC installation method is deprecated[edit]

Hello Jackmcbarn, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Thanks! --VFC devs (q) 16:23, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
