Category:Hannover, Germany[edit]

Ich habe alle Bider da heraus genommen und in den Artikel Hannover einsortiert und werde den Artikel zu Hannover, Germany verschieben. In der Category machen die bilder wenig sinn denn dort kann man keine Überschriften haben. mfg --Paddy 19:10, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Ist relativ einfach erklärt. Leider gibt es zur Zeit unterschiedliche Vorgehen je Stadt. Entweder nur Categorie, nur Seite oder beides. Da alle Bilder aus Hannover ausschließlich mit Categorie gekennzeichnet waren, habe ich das mit meinen Bildern entsprechend genauso gemacht. Daher habe ich Deine der Einhaltlichkeit wegen mit Categorie geradegezogen. Da Du jetzt mit einer richtigen Seite angefangen hast, hatte ich meine Bilder dort ergänzt, um nicht eine halbvolle Seite zu kriegen. Die anderen hast Du jetzt ja auch schon migriert, da war ich aus Zeitgründen noch nicht zu gekommen.
Da es jetzt auch wieder einheitlich ist, kann ich auch mit dieser Variante (entfernte Category) gut leben. Ich fände es aber geschickter, erst mal die Meinungsbildung abzuwarten, bevor man Categorie-Angaben aus Bildern entfernt. --Heidas 19:51, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello Heidas, I have taken the liberty of using two of your photographs from the Wikipedia Commons for the article on the Rund um den Henninger Turm cycle race that I have written on the English version of Wikipedia. Hello Mick. Of course it's ok to use these pictures in the English wikipedia and I am glad that also the english wikipedia is interested in this race. Maybe we are getting this way the ProTour status for next year :-)
I just like to note, that is not required to upload the picture again in order to spare storage space (example). One could also use the commons picture directly. In case that a description in national language is required, it could be added on the non existing local wikipedia page for the image. Is it ok for you, to switch to the commons version or have you uploaded it by reason ?--Heidas 08:42, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Permission to use one of your images[edit]

Hi Heidas. I intend to use your image of a burning match [1] for an icon in barrapunto [2]. Actually adhering to the GFDL and giving all sources for icons is a bit difficult for us right now, for we have no easy way to reference them (it will be easier once we migrate all resources in the site to SVN), so I wonder if you would be all right with me hiding an acknowledgement for the use of your photo in a comment field in the icon image file. Please respond to candyman (at) barrapunto.com. Note: barrapunto is a Spanish Slashdot-alike, and all of our work is shared under the most permissive Creative Commons license: attribution must be given, but modified work and commercial use are permitted. Normally we interpret that as applying only to the text pieces, but someone might think it also applies to a dressed 60x65 icon like this: [3] (not yet in use, for your eyes only).

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Nutzung Ihres Bildes: Hamburg-Rathaus-Rathausmarkt.jpg[edit]

Hallo Heidas, im Zuge des "Wahlkampfauftaktes 2009 der CDU", stattfindend in Düsseldorf, würde ich gerne das oben genannte Bild nutzen dürfen. Verwendet werden würde es innerhalb einer Bildcollage (bestehend aus mehreren Bilder), welche während des Wahlkampfauftaktes zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt auf eine breite Leinwand (5547px x 1050px) projiziert wird. Schwierig wird jedoch die Angabe Ihres Namens, wie Sie es richtigerweise bei wikimedia fordern, da es sich wie erwähnt um eine Bildcollage handelt.

Daher nun meine Bitte: Darf ich das Bild in diesem Zusammenhang auch ohne die Angabe Ihres Namens verwenden? Gerne sende ich Ihnen nach Fertigstellung der Collage ein Belegexemplar zu!
