Cameroon lions in Mefou National Park

Salaam, I want to talk to you regarding this photo. It says that these Cameroon lions are in Mefou National Park. I know that the park is used as a shelter for primates like gorillas, and this photo is the only original source that I know of which says that there are lions in Mefou. Whenever I check other photos or sources of information about Mefou, all that I get is the impression that it's a fenced or protected area in a jungle with primates like gorillas, I see almost nothing about lions in Mefou, unlike for Bénoué and Waza National Parks. Salaam,I was surprised too when I went in this park in 2013. It seems more like a zoo than a park. I went there to see gorillas and other kind of monkeys too but didn't see so much monkeys. INSERTION DE LIENS INTERNES SUR LES PHOTOS

Bonjour Fawaz. Je voudrais savoir pourquoi l'insertion des lien certains internes ne marchent pas sur la description des photos. Par exemple l'insertion de liens internes parakou sur cette photo de parakou dont tu es l’auteur ne marchent pas. et pourtant parakou existe déjà. Mais cela m'affiche que parakou n'existe pas en lien interne. . il en est de même sur l'image de la place de l'étoile rouge de cotonou qui me dis que le lien sur Marxisme-léninisme n'existe pas lorsque je tente de le faire. Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Benin

Hi Fawaz.tairou, For Wiki Loves Monuments I am making sure the upload wizard and banner are working. To be able to enable this for countries, the website (landing page) of a country needs to be ready. Looking at Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Benin or w:fr:Projet:Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 au Bénin, I see no landing page. Is there no landing page yet or is it at another location? If it can be found at another location, please let me know.

If there is no landing page yet, you can re-use the 2019 landing page and update the page with 2020, etc.

If the landing page is ready, please let me know!

Please test new feature on the ISA Tool (computer-aided tagging)

We have just released a new version of the ISA tool on the Test Server. The new version propose semi-automatic tagging of images, which seeks to assist community in identifying and labelling depicts statements for Commons files.

We are currently looking for feedback with regards to the look, feel, and usability of the tool with the machine vision / metadata-to-concept enhancements in place. In a second stage, we will be testing the quality of the recommandations provided.

We deeply appreciate your feedback, since it will help us determine the next steps of the project.

ISA Tool Workshop - Dec 12th 2022

Greetings.

We released a few weeks ago a new version of the ISA tool on the Test Server. The new version propose semi-automatic tagging of images, which seeks to assist community in identifying and labelling depicts statements for Commons files.

Now we are looking for feedback with regards to

• the look, feel, and usability of the tool with the machine vision / metadata-to-concept enhancements in place.
• and most importantly, the quality of the recommandations provided.

This is why we are organizing an online workshop on Monday 12th of December, 16h-17h30 UTC+1 (on zoom). We will be very happy if you find the time to join us.

Greetings from Wiki Loves Folklore International Team!

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.

How to Contribute?

The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February to 31 March 2023. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. It’s simple: grab a camera, record an image, video or audio under the folklore theme and start uploading ! To learn more about the rules, check out our Project page on Wikimedia Common. Here are the exciting prizes which you can win internationally.
