Rimini[edit]

Hi christofe!

I see the nice shots you've uploaded and I've put it in the rimini's page.

Do you have some special reason to have these photos categorized twice under the same category (one as a page and one as a photo)?

Please note that yuor categorization and your information are preserved and that in the italian cities pages we're trying to put all the photos in a page.

Thans for your comprehension, --mac 10:23, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi christ.

Thanks for your reply; we don't agree on the browsing functionallity. I've preserved it. What sense is to have a category nwith tonns of files with dummy names or wrong names? Insetead we check the photos, we put them under the right cat, ant we describe them. Why do you want to duplicate the photos under the same cat? It's confusing. Please have a look on how the category Cities in italy is strucutred and please consider to respect others work. Thaks for your comprenhsion, --mac 11:16, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For exaple see category:Roma; would you substain that putting all the photos under a cat is a better way for browsing? Please consider that this is a standard and a consistent way we're organizing italian citis photos; could this be a good reason for you? --mac 11:30, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't intend to hurt you. As I know there is a final decision in wiki; there is a still running discussion on that. Two different ways of thinking. I'm not the only one archiving photos of italian cities, and the fact that the great part of them are organized this way is just the power of standards (or templates). A newcomers arrives, looks at others work, and follow them because it has a sense. For example, at the beginning cat itay was containing tousends of photos with no other browsing info and they were not linked to the wiki pages. Just trown there like in a basket. With this organization we ( I repet I'm not the only one) organized in a browsing way all the photos ( also 2 or 3 browsing path) and we linked them to the italian wiki ( and you can do the same with the french one ); this way, now, we can find any new image, categorize it, link to the enciclopedia. It ha sense. So, you can still reach the photos by browinsg cat rimini; why it's soo urgent for you to have it also under the same category? --mac 11:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC) Could you please levae your signature when you post, in order to make me esier to reach your page?[reply]

J'ai corrigé.PRA (talk) 08:08, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Steinbeisser and his barracks[edit]

Hello, I saw your remarks on the talk page of User:Steinbeisser.

I've encountered some of his edits, and I've reviewed some more of them later on. All I can say: damn, he seriously messed things up. If you have time, I hope you can keep an eye on what he's doing, because he surely isn't making things better for commons. When reviewing his changes, most of his edits have to be reverted unfortunately, and there's a lot more to undo, I'm afraid. Regards --LimoWreck (talk) 15:04, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photo de Dole 013[edit]

Bonjour,

Bien cordialement. Please don't blank pages[edit]

Hi Christophe.Finot,
Thank you for your contributions to Commons. I noticed you blanked Category:Hôtel Aubriot on Commons. If you meant for the page to be deleted, blanking the page is not the right way to do this. A simple real-world comparison to illustrate: You removed the entire text of a page from a thick folder, but the then empty, useless page itself remained in the folder.

Please use {{speedy| type reason here }} and add it on top of the page you would like to have deleted; This way it will be placed on a special list that administrators check regularly for deletion. Without this it might take a long time before it's noticed.

For redirects use #REDIRECT[[Target]] or {{category redirect|Targetcategoryname}}. For more information please read Blanking. Thanks again. –Krinkletalk 22:18, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

*/Classification des images/*[edit]
